The Joestars and Brandos.

The feud between two families has lasted generations and multiverses. But in this timeline, a young 16 year old Jonathan Joestar seems determined to play nice when his father adopts Dio Brando from a struggling single mother across the country. But unbeknownst to the Joestars, Dio had a brother. At the time, an infant brother. A brother who was still struggling when his older brother was shipped into a life of luxury.

But with her recent diagnosis of tetanus, Diego's mother sent him over to the Joestar manor so her son wouldn't have to see her slowly die.

Needless to say, Diego wasn't very happy to be there.

Johnny hated seeing Diego in his town, in his school, in his home.

He hated seeing him laugh with his bullies, the same bullies George explicitly told Diego to stay away from and protect his cousin from.

He hated being beaten by him in every. Single. Horse race he took part in. And Johnny especially hated how he gloated afterwards.

He hated him.

Unlike Jonathan and Dio, Johnny and Diego didn't even pretend to tolerate each other.

But at the same time they liked each other. When the two thought no one was looking, raved about their shared love of horses, they played video games and made inside jokes together.

Their relationship relationship was complicated to say the least.
