I sat down on the bench in front of my beautiful Durland High when I saw her, Aubrie Alexandria, walking past. She had beautiful dyed white hair, shining blue eyes, and a 10/10 smile. She went to a different high school and was only there to give her brother his lunch when he forgot it at home. But I savored this moment. She didn't know me at the time, but boy did I know her.

 Her family and the principal's family had a bit of a problem. On prom night, the oldest of the principal Marcia Doe's three daughters, Jane, went missing with Aubrie's oldest brother and neither had been seen since. Mrs. Doe called us into an assembly the day I saw Aubrie. She requested Aubrie come too. When we arrived, she was crying at her podium that she stood at in every assembly. All the good kids went up to help her, but she told them she was fine. "I assume you all recall my daughter and your 'friend' Andrew's disappearances." Heck yeah we did! Some of the kids tried running away and a few actually got far before someone caught them!

 Jane and Andrew were supposed to be the perfect couple. They were prom queen and king for the time they were there. Everyone liked them, but that was about to change. "Andrew has been found in another state, alone, with Jane's ne-necklace..covered in blood!" She stopped to cry more. Though, I'm pretty sure everyone was crying. I pulled my long brown hair out of my face and tears to ask a question "But where is Jane?"  Mrs. Doe tried to stop crying before talking, but some tears were seen.

 "She...we don't know. She could be alive and hiding from her old life, or she could be..." She couldn't even say the word it hurt too much. Her husband was standing behind her so if she needed to, she could go over and cry on his shoulder. She stopped and did that a lot during her speech. "Andrew has been put in jail for a life sentence due to possible mu-murder of Jane, and the police are still looking for her." Everyone let out a few more tears together. "And if they find her, we will all accept her back here with open arms!" But I knew what everyone in that room was thinking. 'We are never going to find her...' and they were right. 

"There is one more thing; we have discovered that it took more than 2 people to be able to escape the school, so whoever helped them will be expelled, and possibly sent to jail." The kids murmured to themselves and most were probably thinking 'it was Aubrie and August'. I didn't think it was anyone. I whole heartedly believed that it was just Jane and Andrew. Or really, I whole heartedly hoped that it was them. Boy was I wrong!

 After that, people started to change. Everyone cried at least once during the day, most likely in the gym where Jane's memorial was. Jane's bestie Summer, who was usually happy go lucky, never smiled. Jane' sister Peyton, the middle child of the three, just used this as a way to get more attention. She was always a wannabe Jane. The Duke to Jane's Chandler. She would pretend to cry when her mother was around but smile the rest of the day. And the youngest sibling, Apple, didn't take it so well. She cried for hours in the school bathroom. She was my best friend and it hurt me that she was so hurt. She would say that her sister was the only person in her family that didn't think she was a mistake. She died her long black hair's tips pink, Jane's favorite color. She had lost herself in the pain of losing her sister. 

Two weeks later she and Summer were found dead in a bathroom. Their suicide note read "Summer and I decided that it was better to be in a world with Jane but without life, than a life without Jane." Nobody could believe it. 1 senior and 1 Sophmore dead, 1 senior presumed dead,  and one Senior in jail. But the full storm hadn't approached yet, it was just coming.....
