Chapter 7

"Dinner!" Mrs. Weasley called throughout the house.

"Oh, time for dinner Teddy!" Draco told his son as he picked him up.

"It is?" Teddy asked.

"Yeah," Draco told him. Teddy smiled and waited to go to the kitchen.

By the time Draco had gotten to the kitchen, everyone was seated. The family had added an extra two chairs to the table so Draco and Teddy could eat with them.

"Okay Ted, time to wash our hands," Draco said as he brought him over to the sink. "Can you turn on the water for me?"

"Yeah," Teddy flipped the water on and put his hands underneath the faucet, beginning to wash them off. "All done!"

"Good job, can you turn the water off for me?" Draco asked as he got a towel ready.

"Yeah," Teddy said, turning the water off. "I did it!"

"Thank you baby," Draco pressed a kiss to Teddy's head. "Time to dry our hands, here,"

Teddy fiddled around with a towel in his hands, then gave it back to Draco. Draco wiped his hands off and put Teddy in a chair next to his own.

"Which cup do you want, Teddy?" Draco asked as he went to the cabinet containing Teddy's things.

"Umm," Teddy drawled. "Pink one!"

Draco got his pink cup out and filled it with apple juice, then set it down on the table in front of him. He then set down his silverware and sat down.

"A.... pink cup?" Harry asked.

"Yes, uncle Harry, a pink cup." Draco told him politely, but his eyes had a look in then that said make fun of Teddy and I'll snap your neck.

"Yeah! Loo' Udle hawwy!" Teddy said as he showed him the cup. "It's got a kitty on it!"

"I see," Harry said as he examined it. "Very nice,"

"Yeah," Teddy said, then put the plastic straw connected to the cup back in his mouth.

"Here, Draco," Molly said nicely as she passed some ham and potatoes to him.

"Thank you, Molly. It looks amazing," Draco told her, getting his food and Teddy's set up.

"Why thank you!" Molly smiled. Draco grinned before cutting a piece of ham for Teddy.

"Here, Teddy," Draco said as he prepared a plate.

"Tank you daddy," Teddy said as the plate was put in front of him.

"You're welcome," Draco said, then sipped some butterbeer from him own cup.

Everyone began talking about random things while Draco stayed quiet. He ate his meal and politely listened in on what people were saying.

"Draco, how about you?" Molly asked.

"I'm sorry ma'am, I wasn't paying attention," Draco said sheepishly.

"We were wondering if you have a job?" Hermione asked.

"Ah, no I don't," Draco told them. "I have all my income from my family treasures."

"Why don't you have a job?" Ginny asked.

Draco stayed quiet for a few moments, and Teddy let out a cry. He turned and saw that he got his hands in his potatoes.

"Oh, gotta clean up Teddy." Draco said, making an excuse to get off of the topic. He got up and warmed a wash cloth, cooing to Teddy's cries.

"I'm coming I'm coming," Draco said as he came back to Teddy. He crouched down next to him and wiped his hands of for him.

"Tank 'oo daddy," Teddy said, a slight whine to his tone.

"You're welcome," Draco replied, getting up and putting the cloth away.

Draco sat back down and finished his food with everyone else, then got up to clean his dish. "Molly, where do I put this?"

"Right cabinet to the sink, dear," Molly told him. Draco put the plate away and sat back down.

"All done?" Draco asked when he saw Teddy push his food away.

"Yes," Teddy told him, eyeing the desert that Arthur was getting out. "Daddy?" He said as he pointed to the ice cream.

"You can have some if it's okay," Draco said, leaning back in his chair.

"Of course!" Arthur said as he set the tub on the table. "Which flavor? Chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry?"

"That one," Teddy said as he pointed to the strawberry. Draco looked down at his sons plate and squinted.

"Here you go," Arthur said as he handed him the bowl, but Draco took his away from him. "Wha-?"

"Daddy," Teddy whined.

"No, not until you eat at least two oranges." Draco said as he set the bowl aside, looking at Teddy's plate that had absolutely no oranges eaten off of it. "You need some healthy food too,"

"But daddy!"

"No buts, Teddy Remus Malfoy." Draco said.

"I don' want those," Teddy told him.

"Then you don't get your ice cream," Draco told Teddy as he helped scoop ice cream for everyone.

Teddy huffed in defeat and ate the oranges set on his plate. "Now all done?" Teddy asked after he ate three orange slices.

"Yep. All done. Now you can have your desert," Draco told him as he set the bowl in form of him.

"Yay! Tank 'oo!" Teddy said as he got his spoon ready.

Draco nodded and sat back in his chair. He took Teddy's hair away from his face while he ate the sticky desert, not wanting strawberry ice cream in his blue hair.

"Would you like any, Draco?" Arthur asked.

"No sir, but thank you," Draco told him.

"Why not?" Ron asked.

"I'm diabetic." Draco told them.

"Is that bad?" Molly asked.

"Oh no, I just have to watch my sugar levels," Draco explained. "Oh, Ted come here,"

Draco took a napkin and wiped off Teddy's face, which was covered in ice cream. Teddy made a noise as Draco wiped his face off, making him giggle loudly. He then went back to eating.

Teddy suddenly set his bowl down on the table and whined at his sticky hands. "Daaddy," Teddy cried.

"Shh, it's just ice cream. Come here," Draco said as he pulled Teddy to his lap. He cleaned his hands off and let him stay on his lap. "All better now?"

"Yes," Teddy said, playing with Draco's dress shirt buttons.

"No no, don't unbutton daddys shirt," Draco said as he frantically brought his hands up to his collar. Everyone laughed, making Draco grin too. Teddy giggled just for the sake of giggling.

"Gwama?" Teddy asked.

"Yes sweetheart?" Molly asked.

"Hi," Teddy waved at her.

"Hi Teddy," he said as she waved back.

"Daddy?"

"Yes baby?" Draco asked.

"Play?" Teddy asked his dad as he leaned his head in his neck.

"I don't see why not." Draco said as he picked Teddy up. He got out of his chair and went toward the living room.

"Wai' wai'!" Teddy cried. Draco stopped and rubbed Teddy's back. "Udle hawwy," Teddy whined.

"What? What's wrong?" Harry asked as he turned to look at him.

"Play?" Teddy asked him.

"Oh sure, of course," Harry said as he got up.

"Yay!" Teddy squealed happily as he was set down.

"What do you want to do, Teddy?" Draco asked.

Teddy held up his Barbies. "Udle hawwy," he said as he set a barbie down by him. "Daddy," he set a Barbie on Draco's lap. "Me." He said as he protectively held the Barbie with long hair and a bike.

"Alright. Time for Barbies," Draco said.

"Barbies? You don't get him any boy stuff?" Ron asked as he and his family came into the living room, getting a smack from his girlfriend.

"No, he has boy stuff. He just wanted some Barbies. So I got them for him." Draco told him.

"Daddy, braid?" Teddy asked as he put the long-haired Barbie in his hands.

"What type? A regular one, French, I think I can do a fishtail..?" Draco asked teddy.

"Ummm.... Last one," Teddy told him, then went to go play with Harry. "Hi Udle hawwy,"

"Hey Teddy." Harry said as he sat on the floor.

"No," Teddy said as he took Harry's Barbie away from him. "Now food,"

"Food?" Harry asked.

"He has a play kitchen and food." Draco told everyone, focusing on his braid. "Just go along with it-damn it," Draco grumbled when he took too much hair into a side of the braid.

"How many toys does this kid have?" Hermione asked. Draco shrugged.

"I don't know. I kind of just set him down and let him pick what he wanted from the toy store," Draco said.

"Toy stowe??!" Teddy squealed.

"No no, not now Teddy, I'll take you later if you want another toy." Draco told him.

"Okay daddy," Teddy said, then went back to 'cooking' a piece of cheese on his stove.

"Really?" Harry asked Draco. He shrugged again.

"Eh, I spoil him." Draco told them. "And I'm proud of it,"
