Chapter Thirteen ~ The Newcomer
Macie POV:
"No, no, shh! Stop screaming. Please."
The figure grabbed my hand and pleaded.
"Shh. Please. I promise I won't hurt you." The voice whispered.
"You work for HER! YOU DO!" I screamed out, regardless of the sound being muffled due to the duct tape.
"Who? What are you talking about?" She asked.
I looked at her.
She pulled off my tape on my mouth.
"Why did you do this? Why am I here?" I asked her, crying.
"I'm sorry. I saw you. Your face, it was in one of his videos one day. The blog." She said.
I looked at her.
"What?"
"You. You were in Vanoss' video." She told me, certain.
"You're a crazy fangirl, aren't you?" I whispered to her and then I coughed.
"What? No. No, no. I know Evan. I was his best friend once. I worked for him." She told me.
"I'm so confused. Evan's never had anyone work for him." I told her.
She shook her head.
"Listen, he wouldn't remember. If I told him, he'd look at me if I were crazy. I did something wrong. Back then. It was when he moved from his family. Before they died. I need to make it right." She told me.
(??? POV:)
"What? Evan never had anyone work for him! I don't believe you." she declined.
"No, please listen, please. You have to take me to Evan. His life depends on this. I'm the only one who can stop her. I'm begging you." I told Macie.
"Who are you? Who's Delilah? Why do you even care about Evan's life? Are you some crazy ex girlfriend??" She demanded.
"No," I told her. She looked at me.
"Then what do you want with him? Or any of us? We aren't going through this again, please. We can't lose Del or Skylar or even Brian." she said.
I shook my head. "Macie, I'm not here to take from you. I'm here for two reasons," I told the girl.
"One, I need to save you guys. I'm not losing Evan again, at least he can't die. I owe him, and two," I sighed.
"There's gonna be a little family reunion."

MARILYN POV:
"Listen, I'm sorry. I told them that I was going for a walk. But I came here to see you. Marilyn, I can't leave you. I can't. Please. Give us a chance. Maybe we'll be good together, who knows? I'll literally do anything and everything for you, no matter what gets in my way. Just, please." Terroriser was starting to get on my nerves.
"Fine. Keegan can't know about this, do you hear me?" I told him.
"Why? What would he do? Bitch about it?" He asked.
"Like you said, Keegan has changed. He's not doing well, either. Soon enough, Skylar will be in danger. He'd probably kill you." I told him.
"Ah. Okay. Well, my friends don't know I'm paying a little visit to you, my love." He said.
I looked at him.
"Why are you bringing your so-called "friends" up?" I asked.
He shrugged.
"Just going to update you. And tell you a little plan I have." He smiled.
I sighed.
"You know what, Brian. Usually I'd smack you for smiling that crooked smile of yours, but now I just want to hold onto it forever. I'm really beginning to appreciate you." I told him, inviting him in.
"Who doesn't." He smiled and closed the door.
We walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.
"Where's the rest of them?" Brian asked me.
"They went to see an old friend. Didn't tell me much. Just left." I shrugged.
He nodded.
"Well, I have a few questions."
Brian POV:
"Throw em at me."
She answered.
"Do you know anything about Macie?" I asked.
She nodded.
"I know she's Lui's girlfriend. And I know that I almost killed her once." She said, sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes.
"She went missing. You took her. Didn't you?" I asked.
She looked at me, confused.
"Macie's missing?"
I nodded
"Is Calibre and Kayle with her or not?" She asked.
"No. So, you didn't take them?" I asked.
She shook her head.
"I didn't know they were tooken."
I sighed.
"We don't know who did it. Who would possibly attack us like this?" I was utterly confused.
"Kelly?" She asked.
I shook my head.
"Kelly moved."
"Ah." She replied.
I nodded.
"You sound different." I told her.
She looked at me.
"What?"
"You sound happier. Your voice has changed." I told her.
She sighed.
"I feel like something's gonna happen. I don't know... I've been thinking a lot." she admitted.
I nodded.
"Wanna talk?"
She shook her head no.
"Let's just get this over with."

Nicole POV:
"I love you."
I whispered in my baby's ear.
Riley opened her eyes and looked at me.
"I love you so much. I'll never let anyone hurt you." I said.
I was finally alone, everyone was at the store. They wanted me to go, but I told them I wanted some time alone.
"Riley, babygirl, I promise mommy will always protect you. Always. I will always put you first and I will always give you anything you want in life. I love you so much. I'll never let her take you away from me. You're everything I need, Riley. You're a miracle. I sacrificed everything for you. And I always will." I promised her.
She opened her beautiful little eyes and smiled at me. My heart melted at the sight.
"That's what she told Keegan." Hannah now stood in the door, looking down at me.
"I thought you left." I told her.
She shook her head.
"I don't belong with them. Neko is outside, hunting. I guess she saw a mouse or something because one minute there was a girl in front of me and then the next time I turned around, I saw an orange kitten go scattering off with her ears perked up."
I grinned.
"That's unique, you know. I never imagined that someone like that could exist among us. Man. This is like a fairy tale."
She sighed.
I heard a door open.
Terroriser walked into the room.
"You saw her, didn't you?" I asked.
He looked at me, confused.
"Who?"
"You saw Marilyn. You smell of her." Hannah said.
"What?" Brian asked, looking at her.
"She has a deep poisonous scent. But she reeks of honey and citrus as well." Hannah told him.
"Has she always been that way?" I asked.
She sighed.
"You can change your appearance. You can change your name. You can change your actions, your thoughts, your feelings. You can change what music you listen to or who you hang out with. But even if you wanted to,"
I looked into Hannah's eyes.
"You can never change who you are. Your personality is always there. Marilyn is a shadow. It's her shell of Delilah. And deep down, there's a beautiful little girl who would never hurt a soul. She's running wild right now. But that's not her fault."
"What have you seen happen to her? Just the parts that happen while you're there?" I whispered.
Brian was out of the room now.
"I've seen many things."
I looked at her.
"Why didn't you get her help?"
"We were kids then. I couldn't get help. Nobody believed me. And it was one day that I went back to get her and Keegan. But they were gone," she sighed.
"When was that?" I asked, rocking Riley.
"I'd just moved out, ready for college. I had a job and I got my own place. I figured they'd be able to live with me when they got back on their feet," She closed her eyes.
"But when I opened the door, there was nothing. No carpet, no wallpaper. The rooms were bare. All that were left were old memories. The bad ones. It was a couple days later where I'd looked up what happened. It turned out that Delilah and Keegan ran away with a boy. Her mother was dead, lying there in the floor,"
Hannah was now crying into her sleeve.
I looked up at her red eyes and the hot tears running down her cheeks.
"You know, I always loved that family. I loved her. Delilah was my best friend. She was so understanding and she was the most loyal person in the world. It sucks she went through so much pain. And I went to get her help. And now this happened. She's loose. And I just want to see her and hug her and never let her go."
She was wheezing now, holding her sides. She was falling apart. But she wasn't crying for herself.
She was crying for Delilah.
"She's gonna get better, Hannah." I told her.
"I promise."
