Nicole POV:

Then someone will get hurt.

"Wh-What do you m-mean?" I stuttered, my heart sinking.

The mysterious voice didn't answer.

"Who are you??! What do you mean??!" I demanded, breathing really hard.
"Like I said, you will soon find out. Now. Back to what is was saying."
"No! I'm done with you...! This is stupid! That was a threat!" I yelled, preparing to hang up.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. I have complete control of your device. I know your location, your friends' location, and most importantly..."

I shook my head. No... No.

"I have your brother's location."
She laughed.
I started tearing up.
"What do want from me?" I said.
"You have two options..."
I panicked.
"One, you can bring Hannah and Craig to me, and desert your friends. Leave them, betray them, just tell them to never go after you. To never even think about finding you. And you come here... What would happen to you is obvious..."
I started crying.
"Because we can leave no witnesses behind. Also, bring Tyler with you. He could watch his boyfriend suffer. You can do this willingly..."
I felt him/her shrug.
"Why... Why would you do this. I can't do this. I would never..."
I felt dizzy.
How could this happen?
"Then you have the second option."
My heart was going crazy.
"I will go after your brother, you, Craig, Hannah, Tyler and everyone forcibly. You won't be there to tell your friends not to look for you. They'll soon follow. Then I will discard of you all in your family house. It will burn down with the rest of you." she said, harshly.
I started crying and grasping my sides to hold myself together.
"Please. Please! Don't do this!" I sobbed.
"Darling Craig shouldn't have done what he did. Hannah should've never hurt my brother." They sighed.
"Why would you do this..."
"Karma is a bitch. And so am I."
I whined.
"You have a week. Call me before your time is up. I'll be waiting for you at Evan's house. And you better not tell a soul..." she said.
I panicked even more.
"Because I will know. And it won't be pretty. You'll automatically be narrowed down to that second choice."
"Wait... No... Please!" I begged.
"Goodbye."

The other end went dead.

I sobbed.

Nicole, what have you gotten into? My conscience asked me.

"I didn't do anything!" I screamed, grasping myself and sliding into the ground.

I closed my eyes and rocked myself back and forth.

There's no way this was happening...

Either way, I wouldn't live through this.

Neither will Tyler, Craig, or Hannah.

But I would have to betray my friends.

Or I would have to watch my brother die.

I cried.

I stood up.

I looked over the hotel railing.

I sucked up my breath.

And I screamed.

I screamed louder than I ever had.

I screamed for myself, I screamed for Tyler, Mini, and Hannah...

I screamed for Cartoonz and Delirious, who would have to deal with losing the love of their life...

I screamed for everyone else getting hurt or killed because they cared about us and would come look for us....

I screamed for betraying my friends...

But I mostly screamed for my mother and father.

They wanted me to grow up and be who I wanted to be...

The box my mother had hid would be burnt to the ground...

There will be no remains of our family name.

And it was all because of me.

I am a traitor, a murder, a horrible bearer of a terrible secret...

And I wanted to keep Evan alive more than anyone else...

But we would all be soon dead anyway.

Because I wouldn't be able to betray them purposely and knowingly.

The words echoed in my mind as Luke ran out to me.
