The sun had already passed its highest point in the sky a while ago when the group of friends spilled out of the school gates, their laughter echoing in the mild late spring air. The mood was lively as Sungho earlier had suggested, "Let's hit the noraebang! It's been ages since we last went together." Of course they all agreed.

Donghyun also texted Dongmin to ask if he wanted to join, but the boy said he was busy today, so the five of them made their way towards the karaoke bar without him this time.

Jaehyun, walking beside Woonhak, smiled at the idea of what was ahead. It really had been a while since they'd done something like this. And it would be the first time they'd go now that Woonhak had become a part of their group, so he was all for it.
Also the younger's enthusiasm about it was contagious.

Inside the noraebang, the neon lights cast a cozy glow on the small room. They took turns punching songs into the machine, joking about each other's choices. Donghyun went first, belting out a cheerful trot song with exaggerated flair, sending everyone into fits of laughter.

After Donghyun finished, Sanghyuk took a turn, his quite high-pitched voice giving a unique spin to a trendy pop song. "Sanghyukie, you should join a girl group," Donghyun teased, earning a pillow to the face.

Jaehyun laughed, enjoying the carefree atmosphere. Woonhak, sitting beside him, seemed equally at ease.

When it was Jaehyun's turn, Woonhak perked up. Jaehyun hesitated, embarrassed by the sudden attention. "Go on, Jaehyun-hyung!" Donghyun hollered, shoving the mic into his hand.

As soon as Jaehyun started singing, Woonhak felt his heart skip a beat. His boyfriend's voice was smooth, though a bit husky, every note carrying a warmth that made Woonhak's cheeks flush. He didn't realize he was staring until Donghyun elbowed him lightly. "You okay there, Woonagi?"

"Yeah," Woonhak said quickly, though his ears burned. He didn't even notice the nickname the older had just given him.

When Jaehyun finished, their friends cheered. "Since when were you this good?" Donghyun teased. "You've been holding out on us!"

Jaehyun just shrugged, smiling shyly, but his eyes flicked to Woonhak, who was still looking at him with a soft, awestruck expression.

"You really were amazing, hyung!" Woonhak smiled admiringly. Jaehyun tried to act nonchalant, but the praise from his boyfriend made him blush slightly.

The energy in the room stayed high as they all took turns singing. Sungho went all out with a powerful rock number that didn't suit his voice at all and Donghyun insisted on a duet with Jaehyun that ended with them both laughing too hard to finish the song.

Throughout it all, Jaehyun couldn't help but steal glances at Woonhak. Seeing the younger so relaxed, laughing with their friends, made Jaehyun feel like the luckiest guy in the world.

As they caught their breath after another lively performance, Donghyun suddenly smirked, leaning forward. "So," he said, his voice dripping with mock seriousness, "have you two kissed yet?"

Jaehyun froze, his face instantly heating up. "Donghyun!" he stammered, his voice a mix of embarrassment and disbelief.

But Woonhak, now often the confident one in moments like this, simply shrugged. "Nope," he said, popping a piece of candy into his mouth.

Donghyun grinned. "Well, make sure to tell me when you do."

"Sure, hyung," Woonhak replied casually, as if discussing the weather.

Jaehyun gawked at his boyfriend, utterly impressed by how cool Woonhak sounded. Meanwhile, Sungho and Sanghyuk burst into laughter at Jaehyun's flustered reaction.

"You're way too confident about this," Jaehyun muttered to Woonhak under his breath, though he couldn't help but smile.

"Just balancing us out," Woonhak teased back, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

As the night went on, the group sang more songs, shared snacks, and reveled in the easy camaraderie. Even with all the teasing and laughter, Jaehyun couldn't stop marveling at Woonhak —his confidence, his joy, his everything.

And as they left the noraebang, Jaehyun found himself silently thinking, One day, I'm going to kiss him, and it's going to be perfect.
