Jaehyun stretched his arms above his head as he stepped out of the classroom, the tension from the lesson easing slightly. The hallway buzzed with students eager to get to the cafeteria. His stomach grumbled quietly, reminding him that he hadn't eaten much that morning.

But even as he walked toward the cafeteria, his mind wandered to Woonhak. I still didn't get his number... The memory of Woonhak's tired eyes and quiet demeanor weighed on him.

Pushing open the cafeteria doors, the usual buzz of lunchtime chatter welcomed him. He spotted Sanghyuk, Sungho, and Donghyun at their regular table by the window. Sanghyuk was hunched over his tray, picking at his dessert-a small pastry-while Donghyun waved his chopsticks excitedly, mid-conversation with Sungho.

"Hey, Myungjae!" Donghyun called out, his face lighting up. "We got you a tray too!"

Jaehyun slid into the empty chair next to Sanghyuck, offering a smile. "Thanks."

"Man, you took forever," Sanghyuk muttered, popping a piece of the pastry into his mouth. "I was about to eat your dessert, too."

Jaehyun laughed lightly. "I wouldn't put it past you."

Sungho leaned back, a confident smirk on his face. "You guys better get your project sorted out soon. I bet Donghyun and I are gonna get the best grades for it."

Donghyun nodded enthusiastically. "Our hamsters are super cute-but I still think my fish are better. Less trouble and no late-night squeaking."

Sanghyuk grinned. "Yeah, well, Shinyu and I got this covered, we're aiming for cuteness overload. So don't get too excited."

Sungho rolled his eyes. "As long as you don't feed the hamsters candy."

Sanghyuk shot back, "Yah, I know what I'm doing!"

Jaehyun smiled at their banter but stayed quiet, his fingers tapping the edge of his tray. Sungho noticed and gave him a curious look. "So, how's it going with Woonhak?"

Jaehyun sighed. "I don't even have his number yet."

Donghyun frowned slightly. "Still? That's tough, I hope you don't have to do the project all by yourself. He still doesn't really talk much, does he?"

Jaehyun shook his head. "No, nothing changed." He glanced around the cafeteria, scanning the tables. His shoulders dropped a little when he again didn't spot Woonhak.

"Looking for him?" Sanghyuk asked, his voice softer.

"Yeah," Jaehyun admitted. "He's not here, just like yesterday."

Sungho leaned forward, resting his chin in his hand. "Maybe he's avoiding the cafeteria. Too many people."

"Maybe," Jaehyun said, pushing back his chair. "I'm gonna go look for him."

Donghyun offered a reassuring smile. "Good luck! Maybe he's just in one of those quiet spots around the school."

"Yeah," Jaehyun said with a small nod. "See you guys later."

"Don't get lost!" Sanghyuk called jokingly, waving a half-eaten pastry.

Jaehyun chuckled and waved back as he walked out of the cafeteria. The noise and warmth faded behind him, replaced by the cool quiet of the hallway. He took a deep breath, his resolve firm.

Woonhak's gotta be somewhere.

I am not that good at writing dialogues😭
Also, this story is probably gonna be pretty random. I've already pre-written pretty much all of it, and I wrote some parts of it in a random order and just put it together in the end...
But yea, as I said I wrote this story as a comfort for myself, so we read and don't judge :D

Also: today are the finals of Project 7, anyone else gonna watch it? I'm so scared😭
