Jaehyun woke up to the sound of his alarm, signaling that it was time to get up and get ready for school.
He practically jumped out of bed and immediately walked over to his closet to grab his school uniform.
Luckily, he was a morning person and had no trouble getting up early for school, unlike most others.

After slipping into his navy-blue and white uniform, fixing his black bangs, and brushing his teeth, he headed downstairs to make himself a sandwich while whistling a random melody.
Most of the time, his mom would cook breakfast for them, but yesterday she had to work overtime and came home really late, so now she was still asleep.

When he opened the fridge to get some toppings for his sandwich, he heard the pattering of paws in the living room, which was just next to the kitchen. A moment later, his Golden Retriever Japchae came running through the open door, wagging his tail excitedly.

Jaehyun smiled and bent down to pet him.
"Good morning, buddy. Are you hungry? Wait, I'll get your food."
At the word "food," Japchae wagged his tail even harder, spinning in circles with a small, happy bark.
Shaking his head with a smile, Jaehyun turned around and opened the cabinet behind him to grab Japchae's chunks.

After feeding the dog and finishing his sandwich, Jaehyun quickly grabbed his schoolbag from upstairs and stepped into the hallway to put on his sneakers with one hand, while the other held his sandwich.
He decided to go to school early and eat on his way, since his mom was still sleeping, and he didn't feel like having breakfast alone in the kitchen.

It was April, so the weather wasn't too warm yet, but it was beautiful outside. A refreshing spring breeze blew, and the morning sun warmed his face when he opened the front door and stepped outside.
In a good mood as usual, he skipped down the sidewalk toward his school, munching on his sandwich.
