"mhmm, i love you," donghyuck sighed happily as mark was on his knees before him, drying his legs with a soft cotton towel.

   "and i love you," he answered, kissing the tip of donghyuck's dick mischievously, causing him to blush. mark picked donghyuck up, carrying him bridal style in his arms to the bedroom of their shared suite. he placed the sun-kissed male on the bed gently and placed a kiss on his nose before meeting donghyuck's lips.

   "i thought you were going to dress me," donghyuck smiled when mark pulled away. "i will, you're just...," he trailed off, unable to finish the sentence. donghyuck looked so pretty with his fluffy and slightly damp brown hair. his whole body was on display and mark just couldn't get enough of it.

   "i'm just what?" donghyuck asked, breaking mark out of his trance as he looked at the ravenette with innocent eyes. "..beautiful," mark finished breathlessly. a light blush covered donghyuck's cheeks which made him all the more adorable. 

   just the day before, the two of them had been in mark's home with his parents so donghyuck could officially meet them as mark's boyfriend. they spent a week there before booking a five star hotel suite in new york to stay in for another week. from korea to canada to new york, donghyuck loved traveling with mark without managers or staff around them. it was just the two of them as lovers walking in the park together at night, or sightseeing during the day. after enjoing new york, they planned on traveling to different countries until their break was almost over, lastly going to jeju island for the weekend because donghyuck's parents had a bit of free time until their son would be busy until who knows when and work started again.

   since they arrived at the hotel late at night the previous day, they settled in and went to sleep. but during the entire week that they had spent at mark's parents house, they hadn't had any sexual activity, so of course the first morning — more like afternoon — that they woke up together (completely alone),  they had sex. then they had another round in the shower, and finally donghyuck was tired.

   now with donghyuck sore and feeling lazy, mark promised to take care of him and do whatever he wanted him to. as he rummaged through his suitcase for a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie, he found ones that donghyuck loved to wear and dressed him in them.

   "do you want room sevice?" mark asked, hand ready to dial on the phone if donghyuck answered yes. to his surprise, the younger shook his head no, "i want you."

   mark smiled and climbed in bed next to donghyuck. the now brunette male shamelessly stared at mark was dazed expression. he couldn't deny how handsome and attractive mark looked. despite the cold temperature outide, he wore a thin short sleeved black shirt. his raven hair fell over his eyes and donghyuck couldn't remember the last time he ever loved someone so much.

   "i'm so happy to be here with you," donghyuck said honestly. the older smiled, intertwining their fingers and ruffling donghyuck's hair. "what do you want to do today?" mark asked, allowing the brunette to lean his head on mark's shoulder. "anything's fine," donghyuck mumbled into mark's chest.

   mark chuckled, leaning down to look at the sun kissed male who now had his eyes closed. "you aren't still sleepy, are you?" mark asked. the younger nodded his head without a word. "we slept through half the day," mark pointed out. the little pout that formed on donghyuck's face was so cute that mark wished he had his phone to take a picture of it to look back at later. "you wore me out again as soon as we woke up," donghyuck said quietly, referring to their earlier activities.

   the older gently ran his hands through donghyuck's hair. "do you want to take a nap?" he was well aware of the soft tone he was using to speak to donghyuck. "i do," donghyuck said straightforwardly. "okay then," mark agreed, "but i made reservations for seven so we have to be ready before then."

   he glaced at the time on his watch, it was two in the afternoon. that seemed like enough time for donghyuck to recharge. mark moved from the sitting up position that they had been in so that they could both lie down with donghyuck's head on his chest.   

   donghyuck wasn't lying when he said he was sleepy. he fell asleep almost immediately after. mark simply admired his boyfriend as he let his thoughts run free. he decided then that he would never get over the tone of donghyuck's skin. it was pretty and so addicting, mark surely would never get enough of it.

   his thoughts (mostly about donghyuck) continued before he began playing mobile games and soft music on his phone. he was interrupted when the alarm that he set on his phone went off. how the time passes was a mystery to him, but he softly pecked donghyuck's lips to wake him up nonetheless.

   "hyuckie," mark called softly, now pressing gentle kisses to every inch of donghyuck's face. the said male's eyes fluttered open as he blinked, slightly confused having just woken up. "time to get ready," mark explained. donghyuck whined but slowly sat up, pulling the sleeves of his shirt over his hands to create sweater paws and rubbing his eyes.

   "good boy," mark patted his head, seeing that donghyuck was beginning to make progress. the older stood up and walked towards one of their suitcases. since they would be in this suite for a while, he made a mental note to unpack his suitcase and put things where they belonged later. mark fished out a comb, cologne, and lastly a stick of chapstick. then he zipped up the suitcase and turned around to see donghyuck making grabbing hands at him. 

   the canadian chuckled, setting his things down on the dresser before heading over towards donghyuck and picking him up. "the bathroom," donghyuck directed as mark began carrying him there. "you know, i would be able to walk on my own if you hadn't destroyed my ass earlier," the smaller mumbled once mark set him down on the bathroom countertop.

   "don't say it like you didn't enjoy it," mark pointed out. "hmmph," donghyuck unintentionally pouted, crossing his arms over his chest. "wait here," mark said.

   he stepped back into their bedroom and dialed the front desk. as soon as they had gotten there the night before, mark paid for their suits to be ironed and taken care of. now, he asked for them to be brought to the room. "they'll be brought to your room shortly, sir," the woman on the phone replied. mark thanked her quickly before hanging up and returning to the bathroom.

   he hadn't taken a log time, but donghyuck was already nodding off again. "why are you so sleepy, baby? hmm?" mark asked, waking the other up again. "traveling makes me sleepy," donghyuck honestly replied. the ravenette smiled, getting both of their toothbrushes and applying toothpaste. then he handed donghyuck his, and they brushed their teeth while sneaking glances at eachother.

   once they were done, mark lifted donghyuck off the counter and brought him back to their bed. a knock on their door alerted mark that their clothes were most likely ready as he went to answer it. he was very much correct and collected the clothes, thanking the worker who brought them.

   mark hung the clothes in the closet and padded over to donghyuck. without saying anything, he pulled off donghyuck's pants. "arms up," he instructed. the brunette complied and mark swiftly pulled off his hoodie, leaving donghyuck in nothing but a pair of boxers.

   "if you want to wear clothes, you have to get up and get them yourself," mark told, pointing in the direction where donghyuck's clothes hung. "i'm fine like this," donghyuck shot back sassily. he really didn't mind as mark had seen his body countless times and there was no one else around to worry about.

   mark began changing clothes anyway, but once he wore his dress pants and pants and donghyuck still hadn't moved, he sighed. "please baby?" mark asked.

   even in the still sleepy state that donghyuck was in, he couldn't refuse the pleading eyes that mark was giving him. he groaned and stood up, walking towards the closet and putting on his shirt. "thanks love," mark kissed his lips and disappeared into the bathroom to comb his hair.

   when he came back out, donghyuck was fully dressed and adjusting his tie. the sun kissed male looked up and raised his eye brows at mark. "since when could you style your hair like that and why haven't you been doing it your whole life?"

   mark laughed a real laugh and headed over towards the dresser to grab his cologne. "you like it?" he asked although the answer was obvious. his jet black hair was parted and styled up, showing his forehead. it resembled the shape of a comma and contrasted with the bangs that usually fell over his eyes.

   "mhmm," donghyuck hummed, walking towards mark. he buttoned up the last button on mark's black shirt and tugged on the collar, forcing the taller's face down slightly. "i love it," he mumbled against mark's lips.

   their lips only brushed against eachother, knowing that if they kissed, they might start something that they didn't have time to finish.

   donghyuck's touch lingered on mark's collar for a little longer before he pulled away and escaped to the bathroom. mark took the time to wonder how he had such a perfect boyfriend but eventually snapped out if it to apply chapstick and hand cream, and then he was ready to go.

   after waiting only a little longer, donghyuck exited the bathroom, claiming that he he was ready. mark shamelessly checked him out which caused donghyuck to blush. then he took his hand and kissed the back of it, "let's go." he gently pulled donghyuck with him.

   after a romantic dinner on a rooftop of one of the most famous restaurants in new york, donghyuck found himself walking side by side with mark through the heart of the city. they were holding hands and sharing warmth against the cold. thier hands swung back and forth at a steady pace like lovesick teenagers.

   donghyuck simply wanted to enjoy being in a foreign country as mark relived his memories of living there in the past. the younger was so caught up in a state of bliss that he was slightly taken aback when mark said something. "look up babe."

   a gasp fell from his lips when he realized that they were standing infront of a light display. there was a tunnel to walk into where donghyuck expected were more lights. "let's go inside, yeah?" mark tugged on donghyuck's arm. wordlessly, they walked inside and donghyuck felt like he was in a movie.

   to be honest, things like light shows never really impressed him, but this time around, he felt drawn to each arrangement. maybe, he thought, it wasn't what he was doing but the person he was with. his eyes snuck over to look at mark. how he manged to pull such an angel as the older, he didn't understand, but one thing was for sure— he definitely wasn't complaining.

   the two continued walking through the maze like light display until they reached what could only be the heart of it. a grand light showcase played in the middle which had donghyuck memorized. he clearly loost track of where he was when the next thing he new, he heard mark's voice coming from a microphone. donghyuck spun around on his heel, confused until he noticed a stray mic stand that was clearly availible for anyone to play. 

   mark held his guitar and adjusted the chords before donghyuck realized that it wasn't just a coincidence that only the two of them were there. how much work had mark put into setting this up?

   the canadian cleared his throat, not able to hide the pride and satisfaction he felt in donghyuck's reaction. "to the one i love the most in this world, my sunshine," he began, locking eyes with the smaller male.

   mark took the perfect time to strum his guitar, officially starting the song and beginning to serenade the younger under a thousand stars where they were far away from the rest of the world.

"i found a love, for me"

"darling, just dive right in and follow my lead"

   donghyuck's heart clenched, recognizing the song immediately. normally, he would sing along, adding abit of his own color to the song. but now as he stood with his hands in his pockets, breath visible in the cold, he could only see one thing— he could only hear one voice, and he wouldn't change how he felt in that moment for anything.

"'cause we were just kids when we fell in love"

"not knowing what it was"

   was it possible to express love? was it really possible? sure, somethings came close to it, explaining what it may feel like, but words will never really be able to express the feeling.

"baby, i'm dancing in the dark"

"with you between my arms"

   his heart exploaded in his chest, not able to contain the love he felt in that moment. butterflies didn't just flutter around in his stomach, they were everywhere around him. he could almost see them.

"when you said you looked a mess, i whispered underneath my breath"

"but you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight"

   the rest of the song felt like a blur. most moments that donghyuck enjoyed as much as this one, he would try to record. this time though, he was happy with leaving nothing but a memory behind. maybe keeping proof of the event would be too real for him, he liked whatever fairytale he was currently living in.

   when the song reached the hook, mark slowly removed his guitar and left the mic stand, approaching donghyuck carefully. mark extended his arms out and donghyuck burried his head in mark's chest, leaving his arms to drape loosely behind mark's neck while the elder brought his hands to donghyuck's waist and pulled him close.

"i have faith in what i see"

"now i know i have met an angel in person"

"and he looks perfect"

   mark sung softly in a cappella, lips by donghyuck's ear. he left chills up donghyuck's spine and the feeling of being loved by someone.

"i don't deserve this"

   mark slowed.

"you look perfect, tonight"

   mark pulled away slightly so he could look donghyuck in the eye. "i love you donghyuck ah," he whispered honestly, words dripping with sincerity.

   "i love you too, mark," donghyuck whispered back, afraid that if he spoke any louder, his voice would crack.

   neither of them being able to resist it anymore, they connected their lips just as they had done so many time in the past. it was slow, gentle, and loving. it was perfect.

   when they pulled apart, mark held him close. "i know i already asked before but i regretted making it so simple, so, donghyuck, but will you be me boyfriend?" donghyuck giggled at how serious mark was about something he didn't even mind. "of course," he pecked mark's lips. "do you promise?" mark asked. "i promise," donghyuck rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue.

   the older smiled before pulling out a small black box and handing it to the sunkissed male. "open it," he said.

   donghyuck did as mark told and gasped when he saw two beautiful rings. "wha-" donghyuck was cutoff when mark took the box from his hands and placed a ring on the younger's finger. "they're promise rings," he explained.

   the korean was inexperienced but he blushed at the idea. it seemed like the next step after becoming official, where both parties made a promise to eachother to stay loyal. it felt right under the fiancé label and he was content with that. donghyuck removed the second ring from the box and slid it on mark's ring finger just as the other had done for him moments earlier.

   although the rings were a simple design— donghyuck loved it. they were silver bands with a thin gold streak running through it. "i love it," donghyuck hugged mark, burrying his face in the taller's chest. mark chuckled, happy that his sunshine was happy as they continued to enjoy eachother's presence against the cold.
