Cole and I stared at each other for a couple of minutes. I was trying to comprehend what he just said. And he..? I have no clue what he was thinking.

One of the classroom doors opened and Rosie walked out mumbling something about a stupid detention from a stupid teacher. She looked up from staring at the floor and saw us. Her straight-lined expression turned into a nasty wicked sneer.

"I told you to stay away from him... Gwennie." She sneered my name

"I can talk to whomever I want." Cole stood his ground

"Rosie, what are you doing here? Besides spending yet another day in detention with Mr. Rogers." I asked putting my hand on my hip sassily (Was that even a word?!)

"None of your business. Why do you always have to ruin everything?!" Rosie whined copying my sassy pose

"Not my fault I have to cause ripples on the pond of life." I remarked slyly

"That doesn't really make any sense." Rosie looked at me, bored

"It does if you're smart. But then again... You don't have much experience in that field. Do you Rosie?" Dervik walked over from his locker and stood next to me

"I am plenty smart. At least I don't go around trying to steal other girl's boyfriends." She tried to shoot back with no success

"Rosie, I broke up with you a couple days ago." Cole pointed out

"So?!" She screeched, "Ya know what!? I am so done with you! I'm going to make you pay for everything you put me through, Gwen! You will see you should have never messed with Roselyn Catherine McDonalle!!"

"An empty threat."

"It is not!! You better sleep with one eye open Gwendolyn!! One eye open!!"

"Rosie, let's not make threats we can't keep." Dervik treated her like a 5-year-old

"I am going to keep this threat!"

"You heard her Gwen, one eye open." Dervik kept treating her like she was 5, Cole laughed

"Ugh!!!!" She turned on her heel and strutted away

Once she was out of ear-shot, we all burst out laughing.

"I can still hear you!!!" She screamed, making us laugh even more
