if love was to hurt
then to hurt would be love.

love, said to be the purest,
would have been the most immoral.

too amazed by their stupidity,
i could only laugh.

because if love was a tragedy,
then its lack thereof would be triumphant.

so why would one sought after
what's known to bring devastation,
when they could transcend
the universe without it?

are you sure it hurts
because you loved,
or you weren't loved enough?
