"-you're not listening to me."
Alec sighed internally. His little sister's voice cut through his thoughts like a knife, her arms crossed, and a look on her face that wasn't unlike Max's when he got annoyed. She raised an eyebrow sharply.
"I'm not." Alec admitted. "What is this about, Cori?"
Cori's dark eyes flicked up to the ceiling, probably wondering 'God, why,' before returning her attention back to him. "About the golden girl. The one you're hanging with and not telling her about the Shadowhunting."
There were so many things Alec could have done. He could have ordered Cori to go annoy Jace ---something she excelled at- or maybe tell her to go watch Supernatural, since she was so obsessed with it, or, even better, reply that he didn't care. But unfortunately, he did. "Hodge said he isn't one hundred percent sure if she's one of us."
"I do." Cori answered, looking dead serious for once. Annoying as the Devil and twice as pretty, Cori might have been Isabelle's clone, but there were some differences, small ones, beyond the same wavy dark hair, olive skin, and eyes. There was an aura around Cori like a storm, ready to blow everything to little bits when triggered, she lacked Isabelle's elegant confidence and made up by being loud.
"And that means so much to me," Alec replied and wasn't sure if he meant it or not. As insane as his sister was, she had pretty good instincts, even if those instincts got her in trouble. Cori frowned, taking it as sarcasm.
She frowned a bit deeper. "Whatever. Have fun with your normi-" Cori stopped seeing the death glare, and cleared her throat. "I mean, mundane. I really didn't mean to say 'normie,' welp. I'll go hang out with the Winchesters now."
