𝕬nd only one could keep it for eternity...
Hermes looked ethereal in the morning sun and Delia grinned as she watched the man sit on the table, licking all remnants of cake mixture from the bowl in front of him. The sun hit his hair, highlighting the golden strands that seemed to run through it like threads of corn, his legs pulled up beneath him.
"You will make yourself sick." He barely moved a muscle, as Delia placed the cakes into the wood oven and turned back to the god. Cocking an eyebrow, she waited for him to acknowledge her. "Do you not want to save a little room for the baked cakes?"
"I will make room," Hermes replied, smiling at her gently as his eyes lit up. "I will be able to eat everything, do not worry. It is just something about your cooking. I am addicted to it."
Delia rolled her eyes, before snatching the bowl from his hand and beginning to carefully wash it as Hermes wrinkled his nose in annoyance at her gesture. She heard his feet pad over, before he appeared beside her shoulder to glare down at her, an arm snaking around her waist. She giggled at the motion.
"I was not done eating that." Delia shrugged, a smile still on her face as she looked up at the taller god. His face was contorted into a pout, huffing in annoyance.
"I needed to clean it," He huffed, before a throat clearing from behind them caused the pair to spin around. Leto stood in the doorway to the kitchen, a hand resting on her bump as Hermes looked between them.
"I will leave you to talk and see you in a little bit," Hermes murmured, pressing a small kiss to Delia's forehead as he rushed to leave the kitchen and give the two women some space. He knew that this was not something that he had to be involved in.
"You two seem closer." Delia dried her hands on the apron of her dress, before looking at Leto with tired eyes. She did not wish to argue with the pregnant woman, in fact she would much prefer to sweep it all under the rug and pretend this entire event had never existed. "I am sorry, Delia."
"It is fine."
"No, it is not," Leto replied, reaching over to touch the other goddess' hands, as Delia looked up at her. "I should have trusted that you knew better than I did, and that you were only looking out for me. I was wrong and I never should have stood up for that man. I hurt you and I apologise, truly. I will be apologising for all eternity."
"Thank you" Delia nodded her head at the words, looking up at her and smiling gently. "You realized and that is what mattered. I did not wish for you to continue without knowing. It would not have been good for you or the children."
"All I can do is thank you for telling me and apologise for my stupidity." Leto flung herself onto Delia, as the girl chuckled, hugging the Titaness back. "I thought you were going to throw me off of the island."
"I would never," Delia laughed at the thought. "I have grown sort of attached to you, I suppose."
"Not as attached as you are to Hermes though," Leto pulled away from the woman, a glint in her eyes as Delia blushed. "Do not try and hide it, I saw that little forehead kiss. Now, what has happened with my favorite couple?"
"We are what?"
"My favorite couple," Leto grinned. "You and Hermes are incredibly sweet, and it's refreshing to see a couple that seem that devoted to each other."
Delia felt a blush cover her face, turning around to try and hide it, but that only made Leto giggle harder.
"So, what happened?"
"We may have kissed..." Delia mumbled.
"You kissed?"
"A couple of times," Delia admitted, as Leto let out a girlish squeal before hissing as one of her babies kicked.
"Calm down, children, your mother is trying to listen to what your aunt has to say about her love life," Leto tapped the top of her belly gently, as Hermes appeared in the doorway. Automatically, Delia's eyes grew focused on the fact that he was dressed in his familiar running cloak, his helmet clutched into his hands.
"What has happened?" He came over, quickly grabbing an apple from the basket and taking a bite out of it, before pressing a kiss to Delia's cheek.
"Zeus has summoned me, I must go. I have been away too long," He admitted, bowing his head at Leto, as Delia's heart began to race in panic. "I will be alright and back before you know it. Do not fear, Delia."
"Please be safe," Delia murmured, reaching up to wrap her arms around his shoulders. He threaded a hand through her hair, keeping her as close to him as humanely possible for a moment. It was as if he was memorising everything about her in that moment.
"I will come back to you."

Five days had passed and yet, Hermes was still not back on the isle. Delia knew that he had other things to do for the gods, but she also knew that Zeus was one to hold a grudge and she did not trust him not to hurt Hermes. Especially if Zeus even had an inkling that Hermes was the one to have won her heart. He would see it as being scorned by her, that she had chosen his son to care for and not him.
His ego would bruise at that, and an egoistical god with a wounded pride was never a good combination.
It did not help that it had been storming for a few days now, something that had the entire island on edge, including Delia.
"You'll pace a hole through the earth," Leto murmured, watching the antsy goddess, who was gnawing at her nail. "If you are so worried, go and call him to the island, or ask Poseidon about it, or go to Olympus."
"I will ask Amphritite, she should know," Delia nodded at her decision, before shooting off to the beach. Reaching down, Delia placed her hand to the ocean, before closing her eyes and asking for Amphritite to come to her, to visit Delos. It took a few moments, before the queen of the seas appeared from the waves, clothes and legs materializing as she stepped onto the sands of the beach.
"This is rare," The woman grinned, pearls sparkling from a mixture of sunlight and saltwater. "What can I do for you?"
"Do you know what is going on at Olympus?" Amphritite raised an eyebrow at Delia's worried state, wide eyes and fidgeting.
"You are asking of Olympus?" Delia nodded, before Amphritite's eyes narrowed. Delia was notorious for refusing to hear anything about Olympus and the godly drama. "Why do I have the feeling that this is Zeus' fault?"
"Do you know anything about Hermes? The Messenger God."
"Hermes, Hermes, Hermes, Hermes...Ah," Amphritite nodded her head, remembering something. "Yes, Hermes and Zeus were having a quarrel about some...you are the goddess they're quarreling about."
"Oh, that is not good," Delia replied, gnawing on her fingernails. Her fears were founded it would seem, and worry settled deep in the pit of her stomach. "I need to get to Mount Olympus then. I can not leave him there alone."
"Are you sure? Zeus will be there and I know that you have not seen him since..."
"Since I dropped a temple on his head, I know," Delia gulped down all of her fear, calling her staff to her side. She could not leave Hermes there. Steeling her nerves, Delia took a deep breath to prepare for travel as Amphritite tilted her head slightly.
"You must really care for this boy then," Delia froze, before looking back at Amphritite with wide eyes. "I have never seen you quite like this. You are willing to break your rules for him."
"Hermes is different," Delia murmured, as Amphritite smiled. "He's kind and caring and gracious and sweet and brings me flowers. He is...He is Hermes."
"Then, let us get you to Mount Olympus to help Hermes." Delia nodded, stepping closer to the goddess, as a wave of water surrounded them, shooting up into the air and when it fell down, they were in a pool, in a large temple. Delia stepped out, tapping her staff on the ground, as her clothes and hair dried themselves, and changed to something more regal and befitting of her title and position. Amphritite followed her out, the jewels and pearls catching the light of the marble.
"This looks fun," The pair of goddess' turned around, as a dark skinned woman emerged from the gardens, watching the pair with interest. She held a flower in her hand, though she set it in the floor to bloom to watch the pair. "What is it that the pair of you are conspiring for?"
"A little quest to ruin Zeus' ego." Amphritite spoke for both of them, as the woman grinned at that, giggling to herself. "This is Delia, Persephone, Guardian of Delos. Delia, this is Persephone, Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld."
"A pleasure." Persephone beamed. "And a most noble quest. Do you mind if I join you?"
"Any help is good help." Delia replied, smiling gently.
"What is it about?"
"Delia has managed to capture the Messenger God's heart, and Zeus is not best pleased that he has hers either."
"Well, I have never been best pleased when true love gets taken from its course." Persephone winked. "Let us deal with him."

Hiya,
Persephone, Amphritite and Delia are the superior bad bitch trio who get shit done. Honestly, I'm so hyped for next chapter when we get to see all three of them ripping Zeus a new one, it brings me so much life! Also, Leto is a cutie who has now apologized and seen the errors of her way, and Hermes and Delia are too sweet.
Let me know what you think,
Love Li xx
