❖ Roya's parents both died, first his mother, and then 4 month later, his father.

❖Even though they are never explicitly shown in the book, Damien's parents are alive and well.

❖ Charlotte became a Professor at a women's college. She hope to someday work at Oxford.

❖ Damien inherited his father's business

❖ Roya helped out with the business and occasionally picked up small painting jobs.

❖ Charlotte was never interested in Roya, she just wanted to be a friend.
