23- Team Cheer Squad?

Evan rushed out the door, feeling all of his worries melt away. He let out a big yell and changed into a black eagle to match his feeling of freedom.

He watched from above on what was happening, there was an army of vlorks just swarming the area. Evan did a few circles in the air as he scoped the area.

"We love you Black Spirit!" Evan looked down to see a group of girls holding up signs, wearing shirts with his face on it, and even making large heart symbols with their arms.

"What the heck? How do I already have fans?" Evan suddenly said.

"Yeah, so you can blame it on Luciel for starting fan bases." RJ said through their earpiece.

"Sorry...!" Luciel soft voice came through.

"It's all right." RJ replied.

"So how are we going to go about this? I haven't been here in a while you know and not to come off as rude but I really want to punch someone in the face right now." Evan got the team back on track.

"Sorry, anyway, we're just probably going to just jump right in and do some fist to fist fighting." RJ explained to Evan.

"Wait....did you say you wanted to punch someone? In the face?!" Addison's voice came in. Evan's urge to punch someone grew stronger and his face seemed hot all of a sudden. Maybe he was flying too close to the sun? He landed on the edge of a building top.

"I'd be lying if I said no. Plus to be honest, I've got some things going on in my life." Evan spoke slowly. He signed off from any further questions and ran to a populated area of X's Anti-Vlorks.

Immediately he started punching them, ignoring the fact that Addison and Fabian had arrived to help him. Evan had gotten a hold of a Vlork by its neck, fainting at the fear of being killed.

For a quick moment, Evan looked up. He was stunned. In front of him was Addison, small yet strong. He watched her perfect form in her fighting stances, her fist finding its place square in the middle of an enemy's face, her kicks seemingly fatal and her curled pixie cut bouncing up and down with her movements.

Addison's face slowly turned to look at Evan confused. Evan immediately turned away, dropping the fainted corpse in surprise. His face was now very hot to the touch, probably red now so he turned away so not to be seen by the two in that state. He instead continued to fight the remaining enemies to ease himself.

What is wrong with me...?

In due time, the fight was over so the gang answered a couple of questions for reporters, especially Evan, and then they returned to their respective classes. Evan didn't speak much that day but that was alright.

____

Addison was in gym class, they weren't changed in their gym uniform. But she was more interested in the trio of people, two girls and one boy, in uniform who were standing in front of the gym for the whole class period. Supposedly they were from the "cheer squad". Whatever that was....

"Cheerleader tryouts are next week so if your going to tryout please be sure to pick up a flyer." The people spilt up to talk to some of the other gym students.

Addison didn't really seem interested in this especially with having to lead Team Spirit. But then again if she was in some other club it could help her out excuses to help with masking her identity.

"Hey you going to tryout? You're really flexible." Addison was pulled out of her thoughts to see one of cheerleaders in front who of her. It was that one boy.

"You can really pull of the stretches." Addison blinked. Literally the only reason she was flexible was because of her superhero life. She didn't know what to say. She looked back at him, now noticing that his eyes looked....artificial. Behind him was another girl who strangely looked familiar.

"RJ?" Addison questioned out loud. The figure slowly turned around to a girl who looked exactly like the Red Spirit of the Team. The mint hair, freckles, and even eyes. She just shrugged and smiled.

"Heh, no. But I do get confused a lot since I am his twin sister." She replied.

"Sister?" Addison was completely confused at this point. RJ never mentioned a sister, heck, not even a twin sister.

"I'm Rose." She held her hand out, Addison took it.

"Addison." She replied.

"And I'm Artic." The boy answered. He seemed....almost unreal.

"Don't you mean Arctic? With a c?" Addison corrected him.

"Nope, it's Artic."

"Okay..." Addison spoke slowly, clearly confused.

"Oh, and the one who's yelling at people is Katy." Rose pointed with her thumb.

"Yo peeps! Join Cheer Squad for the boys!" She yelled.

"Anyways, you joining? You're really flexible, you'd probably get right in." Rose said. She had the same determination as RJ.

"That's what I've been telling her!" Artic answered. The bell rang.

"You know what, just take this flyer and think about it, tryouts are next week and hopefully we'll see you there." Rose handed the paper.

"Okay, well thank you!" Addison got up to go to her next class.

_____

"Hey RJ? How come you never told me about your sister? I met her today." Addison sat down in her usual spot in front of Luciel and next to Evan.

"Rose?! What'd she say about me...?" RJ sounded cautious. Strange.

"Not much. Just how come you didn't want me to know...?" Addison asked.

"It's because we both have the same initials..." RJ sighed and slumped in his seat.

"Wait! Initials?! RJ is not your real name?! What is it?" The guys chuckled, even Evan for that matter.

"C'mon! It's not that funny!" RJ's face was now dusted with a pink color. He slumped deeper in his seat.

"His real name-" Fabian started.

"-No-"

"-Is-" Luciel then said.

"-Don't you say it-"

"Ross Jenkins." Evan ended with a smirk.

"Betrayed by my own friends!" RJ groaned as he slid down deeper in his chair to cover his burning face. The only thing showing was his eyes and bed of spiked, messy hair.

"You know, it isn't that bad...Ross." Addison giggled at RJ's long groan and he settled with just hiding his face in his hands.

"So how did you met Rose?" Luciel asked.

"Gym class and cheer squad or something or other." Addison replied.

"Oh so I see....you trying out?" Fabian asked.

"Hmm....I might." Addison leaned back and gave a smirk.

"Oh ho~so tiny skirts is up your alleyway?" Fabian smirked back.

"Is it? Or is it just for the fan service?" Addison winked. Fabian and Addison laughed. Meanwhile, Evan sat there almost choking on his food and felt himself get hot at the thought of his roommate in a cheerleader uniform.

"I just realize I forgot to buy milk!" Luciel suddenly said helping Evan regain composure. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Bro, how'd you forget it?" RJ asked, now a little recovered from before.

"I-I don't know...!" Luciel blushed. All eyes were on him now.

"Here, you can have mine, since I'm probably not going to be drinking it anyway." Addison took her milk carton and handed it to him.

"Thank you so much!"

That was honestly so cute....wait what?! She's just a friend! Just a friend....just a friend....just a friend-

"You good?" RJ looked at his friend with a concerned look.

"Yeah...I think." Evan blinked in confusion. The act of kindness even made Evan's heart skip a beat. The more he was falling into this death trap, the more he was hating Addison. How come he felt this way? He'd have to look it up later on his laptop.

"How come you got milk if you're allergic to it?" Fabian asked.

"Well, no one else decides not to get milk, and so it seems strange not to get a carton and well, I....I just wanted to feel 'normal'." Addison admitted looking down while crossing her arms.

"We all do at some point. But it's alright to feel different. It's makes you unique.....Princess."

"Okay...that's way too cheesy, Fabian." RJ admitted, getting remarks from the rest of the table.

"Well I'm probably going to head to the gym today, I might just as well tryout so I'm going to work on stretches." Addison got up to throw away her food and came back. Fabian and Luciel went with her.

"I have to go meet up with sis....I mean Rose." RJ ran out of the cafeteria.

"Evan?" Addison turned back.

"I've got....researching to do." He claimed and got up with his things.

"Alright, I'll see you later." She flashed him a smile and then left leaving a very stunned Evan.
