No POV:
Addison was confused right now. Also, concerned. Evan had been laying on his bed yesterday and this morning. She wasn't sure what happened, she had been busy with Cory and the history project. But now Evan wouldn't even speak to her.
She was in creative writing with Fabian and RJ. They had been talking about, well, girls, but she had to interrupt them.
"I-I think something is wrong with Evan." Addison finally said.
"Why what happened? You said he stayed behind, didn't you?" Fabian asked her.
"Um, well, he just was staying in bed. He didn't want to get up or anything. He just stayed there, staring at the wall. I don't know what's going on. He just wouldn't say anything to me."
"Relax, Addi. I'm sure that Evan is just going through a phase." Fabian grinned softly.
RJ then put a finger to his chin in thought. "Hmm actually he was like that before, did his mom call? I remember a while back he acted like how you said. Evan didn't want to leave his room."
"Actually, I think he did get a call. I don't know what happened though. Since, I was doing my project with......Cory....." Addi played around with my hair at saying Cory. But then she cleared her throat to regain her posture."But, what does that have to do with Evan?"
The guys exchanged glances at each other and then shrugged. "We don't know. All I remember was that he got a call from his mother and he was an emotional wreck. He just wanted to stay at home until the weekend, when he could visit his parents." Fabian finished off.
"Should we do something about it...?" Addison asked. The guys shook their heads.
"Evan would most likely get worse and try some uh.......rather......bad habits." RJ made a circular motion with his hand when explaining.
"Bad habits.......?" Addison mumbled to herself.
_____
It was after school, so Addison went to her dorm. She put the key and turned it. She pushed the door open and peered inside. She didn't find anyone. But then she heard some disturbing sounds coming from the bathroom.
That's when she noticed a bunch of wrappers of food in the kitchen. She looked towards the bathroom and realized this was one of those "bad habits". She didn't know what to do. She held her breath, looking back to the bathroom every now and again.
Her friends had told her not to help. It would make things worse, but yet, there was something in the back of her mind telling her otherwise. She slammed the door to the bathroom wide open and walked it. Addi had wrinkled her nose at the sight of Evan hunched over the toilet. He had noticed the princess watching her, but didn't care and kept on gagging from his fingers being shoved down his throat.
Addison rushed over and pushed him away gently, sitting on Evan's torso to keep him still. She pulled both of his hands away from him, getting a pained grunt from the boy. Addison raised an eyebrow, she decided to try something. She took one of his arms and rubbed her thumb on Evan's wrist softly. She was given another pained hiss and Evan had tried to pull away. Addison wasn't having it, she took the arms back and pulled Evan's sleeves back. There were fresh cuts all along his wrists. Addison had suspected this.
Evan had tried to get Addison off of him and struggled to get free. Addison just stayed there and had looked straight into Evan's eyes until he had calmed down a bit, being careful with Evan's arms.
"Evan what were you thinking...? Why are you doing this...?" She asked softly. Evan turned away. He obviously didn't want to speak to anyone. Addison noticed how bad he looked: his black hair was now wild and tangled up, he had bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep, and his eyes had been red and puffy from the time crying.
"Evan, why are you doing this to yourself...?" Addison asked again, keeping Evan's wrists together. Evan's lip quivered. He wanted to cry and yell and let it all out. But he couldn't cry. Not in front of other people. Not in front of her.
"If you don't want to talk now, then don't. But I won't let you hurt yourself." Addison slowly lowered Evan's hands, but still kept a strong enough grip on his arms.
They both sat in silence for a while. Addison kept her eyes on Evan, still sitting on him, while Evan looked away, trying his hardest not to cry. "Do you want to talk about it now......?" Addison asked softly. Evan couldn't contain it anymore. He just wanted to get to the point.
"It's all my fault! All of it!" He shouted. Addison looked at him surprised. Evan had gotten his arms free and buried each one into his hair. He didn't know why he screamed it. He just did. It didn't stop there though.
"I-It should have been me!" He was now hiccuping. His body now shook violently. He wasn't thinking straight.
"Naze watashi wa kare no tachiba ni i rarenakatta nodarou?!" He started shouting. He wanted it off of his chest. Evan kept on hiccuping, he was pulling his own hair out. The next thing he did surprised them both. He sat on his knees and hugged the closest thing to him: Addison.
His arms wrapped around her sides and kept his head on her shoulder. His tears couldn't stay back. He didn't care, he let them fall down his face. He hugged Addison tighter, almost choking the air out of her.
"Naze watashi wa kyūkei o toru koto ga dekinai nodesu ka?!" He kept on shouting. He wasn't making a lick of sense to Addison. But she accepted that Evan was doing this and why he was doing this. He was an emotional wreck! Addi had tried her best to calm him down by rubbing little circles into his back.
They stayed like that for a while. An hour to be exact. Then Evan had came to his senses and pushed away realizing what he was doing. Addison only smiled a bit and rolled her eyes playfully. "Let's get you cleaned up."
Addison then got up, leaving Evan on the floor to fiddle with his thumbs. She got a first aid kit out from underneath the sink and got out bandages, cotton balls and rubbing alcohol.
_____
"C'mon Evan! Just give me your arm!" Addison and Evan had been battling for a while now. They were on Evan's bed. Addison was trying to help his cuts, but Evan wasn't letting her.
"Evan!" She reached for one of his arms again, but he had blocked her off. She smirked, using one of her other powers, she was able to take hold of Evan and have his arm extended forward. Evan struggled to get free, but his arms wouldn't budge. They were kept in the air, outstretched.
"Thank you." Addison got to work. She pulled back the sleeves to reveal the scars that lay across his skin. She didn't say anything, but applied the alcohol to the cuts, getting pained looks from Evan. "Sorry......" she would say when she saw Evan kick his legs from the pain (AN: He's such a sensitive boy TωT). She then bandaged them up, and had put the sleeves back into place.
"There, now get some rest. You look like you've woken up from the dead." Addison put the supplies and back in the box.
"But I'm not tired." Evan stared at her. He tilted his head a bit, wanting a direct answer to why he needed sleep.
"Oh I'm sorry, did it sound like I gave you a choice?" Addison chuckled and pushed Evan to his back, much to Evan's dismay. He cursed in Japanese under his breath.
But then again, using another power, Addison was able to get Evan to sleep.
