Third Person POV

The streets of Vale were quiet as Ruby led her team through the dimly lit alleys. They were out gathering supplies when a faint, heart-wrenching cry stopped them in their tracks.

Ruby: "Did you hear that?" She whispered, her silver eyes narrowing as she looked around.

Weiss: "It's probably just a stray cat," She replied, brushing it off.

Blake, ears twitching beneath her bow, shook her head. "No, that's... something else."

They followed the sound, peeking cautiously around a corner. There, lying on a tattered blanket, was a tiny baby Faunus, its small fox-like ears drooping as it cried.

Ruby's heart clenched. "Oh my gosh, it's a baby!"

Yang stepped forward, frowning.  She too was very concerned on why there was a baby out here.

Yang: "Who would just leave a baby here?"

The baby noticed Ruby and let out a soft coo, its tear-streaked face breaking into a wobbly smile. Ruby hesitated, her instincts telling her to walk away. But when she turned to leave, the baby's cries resumed, louder and more desperate.

Weiss: "Ruby, we can't—" She began, but Ruby was already moving.

She knelt down, gently picking up the baby and cradling it in her arms. The crying stopped instantly, replaced by quiet contentment.

Ruby: "I can't just leave it," She said firmly, tucking the baby beneath her red cape.

Blake placed a hand on Ruby's shoulder.

Blake: "We'll figure this out together."

With that, Team RWBY disappeared into the night, a newfound mission ahead of them.

Back at Becon

As the team made their way back to their dorm, Ruby held the baby close, her red cape wrapped tightly around it. When they arrived, Weiss immediately stepped forward, her brow furrowed.

Weiss: "Ruby, we need to talk," She said, her tone sharp.

Her team leader turned around now facing me, the baby sound asleep in her arms.

Weiss: "That baby can’t stay here. We have to get rid of it."

Ruby’s eyes widened, her grip tightening on the little one.

Ruby: "Weiss, we can’t just abandon it! It’s so small, and it needs help!”

Weiss: "You can't be serious, this is a bad idea."

The baby stirred in Ruby’s arms, letting out another wail. Ruby rocked it gently, but the crying only grew louder. She tried everything she could think of, but it wouldn’t calm down.

Yang’s fists clenched at her sides.

Yang: "Weiss, are you serious? You want to just throw it out like it’s nothing? This isn’t a monster, it’s a baby!"

Weiss: "I'm not saying it’s a monster!" She snapped, her voice rising.

It's true, she wasn't trying to say it was a monster.

Weiss: "But we can’t keep it. It’s dangerous to keep a Faunus child in the open. Someone might notice!"

Ruby’s heart shattered as the baby’s cries grew louder, louder than the argument. She whispered softly, trying to soothe it, but nothing worked.

Yang stepped forward, glaring at Weiss.

Yang: "You’ve got a lot of nerve, Weiss. You’d rather see it in danger than help it?"

Ruby: "Enough!" She shouted, her voice trembling. “We’re keeping it. I don’t care what anyone says.”

Weiss sighed, conflicted but softening. She knew that there was no use in arguing about it.

Weiss: "Fine. But we need to figure out what to do next."

Ruby nodded, still rocking the baby in her arms.

???: "Indeed, all 4 of you are." A voice said from behind the girls.

All 4 of the girls turned around to see Professor Ozpin entering the room. Along side with Glynda Goodwitch who closes the door behind her as soon as she entered.

Ruby: "Professor Ozpin what are you doing here?" She asked confused.

Ozpin: "I'm here to discuss about your new role as a team here at Beacon now."

Blake: "New role?" She said with confusion in her voice.

All the girls in the room were confused on what the professor meant.

Ozpin: "The child that you're holding is a rare type of faunus." He said steps forward.

The girls looked surprised before looking at the small infant in Ruby’s arms. The one that was mainly surprised was Blake, She was curious on what type of faunus the baby was.

Blake: "What kind of faunus?" She asked with curiosity in her voice.

Ozpin: "The child is a rare faunus called snowfox, they are rare because they're facing extinction."

The girls were completely shocked after hearing what professor Ospin just told them. The baby Faunus that they found was an endangered species. That was very concerning to all of them, especially Blake since she was a faunas. Ruby was so glad at that moment that she had saved the child and brought it back to their dorm.

But what the girls did understand was how did their professor knew about the child.

Weiss: "How did you know we had the baby in the first place?" She asked confused.

That was something she was concerned about and really wanted to know.

Ozpin: "Isn't it obvious? He's the reason why I sent you on a mission."

Now the girls started to realize the truth. Professor Ozpin sent them out there to look for the child and bring him back here for safety.

Ozpin: "He is your responsibility now."

Weiss: "Wait a minute, hold on? He?"

The professor looks at her with a smug smile on his face.

Ozpin:  "Yes he, the baby is a boy."

The girls were now in disbelief on how professor Ospin knew all this information.

Yang: "How do you know all this?" She asked even more curious.

Ozpin: "I have my ways."

After he said that, that scared the girls a little bit. On how he knew all his information but that in dare to question it.

Ozpin: "Take a care of him now." He says before turning around to leave.

As they are leaving, Glynda turns around to face the girls.

Glynda: "And you will be buying stuff to care for the child." She said with a stern tone in her voice.

After she finished talking, she quickly walks out the door and shuts it behind her. Leaving the girls to question on what they were going to do next.

Blake had now took the baby out of Ruby's arms and into hers. The little fox faunus was still fast asleep which made the  her smiled warmly.

Ruby: "So what should we name him?"

Before anyone could say anything, Blake interrupts them.

Blake: "Y/n, we will call him Y/n."

That team didn't try to argue with it and just settle on the name that she gave him.

Yang: "Y/n it is then." She said with excitement in her voice.

Weiss: "So what now fearless leader?" She asked her team leader.

Ruby: "Well it looks like team mama RWBY has some shopping to do!" She said as she jumped in the air with excitement.

Now the young team of girls We'll have to get used to their new life here at beacon. Cuz now it will change their lives forever.
