Epilogue
Surprise :)

Narrator P.O.V
Four years have passed, and life has gotten brighter.
Rick and Michonne are still as much in love as they were before.
They still fight for their life, for their love.. but this time with 3 kids to look after.
Although times may get rough for Rick, and he feels like giving up, Michonne is always there to keep him going.
Over these years, Carl realized that he has life and that's a grateful thing. He's no longer the whiny 16 year old he was before, he's a full grown man.
He's the modern Rick Grimes, as everyone likes to call him.
Rick's got his own life at home, he's got a wife and three kids to look over. So unfortunately, he can't be the leader he always used to be..
And that's when Carl stepped up to be the leader.
He's taken his father's leadership skills, survival skills and everything else he's learned, and he turned The Hilltop into a better place. And when asked how he does it all, he says he does it for Jay.
Sasha, Abraham and Giovanni are happier than ever. Although Abraham left Sasha last year and ventured out on his own because "he couldn't take it anymore", he's back and they all love each other uncontrollably.
Glenn and Maggie are still the fairytale couple they've always been. They wake up, do their daily duties, and even raise Hershel together like a perfect little family. Heck, they are a perfect little family.
And for Carol and Daryl? Lets just say... canon!

Michonne's P.O.V
"Babe?" I shouted up the stairs, in hope that Rick could hear me and I wouldn't have to go walk up there.
"Help!" He shouted back.
Thinking quickly, I dropped the potatoes in my hand and ran up the stairs, with my dreads flying everywhere.
Once I finally reached the room, I found Rick pinned to the ground with his hands behind his back... and Judith on top of him.
Oh, just a usual day I suppose.
"Judith, sweetie, what are you doing?" I asked, in a low saccharine tone.
She looked at me with her sweet little innocent 6 year old eyes... and then she narrowed them.
"Get her!" She yelled.
And in the spur of the moment, I could feel two kids cling onto my legs.
I looked down to be met by my two handsome, curly haired boys.. Jay and Dre.
I couldn't walk, and I sure couldn't fling them off.
What is going on!?
"Listen here mommy," Judith started.
"Me and the boys think we should have cake for dinner. Don't you agree?"
Ah, smart kid. Just like me.
I remember saying she was gonna grow up to be like me.
And well, I didn't lie.
The girl's got a brain like her momma, she loves queen and she loves art.
"No, I think you should have good ole potato stew." I smiled.
"Not the stew." Rick groaned.
"Well, unless we get cake... I can't release you."
"Jay..Dre?" I groaned.
They looked up at me and raised their eyebrows.
"Let go of mommy."
"Sissy said no!" Dre exclaimed.
Ugh, Judith is so close with her brothers-- she's like their 2nd mom.
"What about you Jay? You'll listen to me right?" I pleaded.
He thought for a second before nodding his head no.
"I'll let you sleep with me and your dad tonight!"
His eyes widened and he happily released my leg.
I then pulled Dre off and slung him onto the bed.
Next, I walked over to Judith.
"You wanna fight?" She smiled.
Saying nothing, I bent down and stared her evilly in the eyes.
"I've got a better idea."
And with that, I tickled her until she was on the floor begging for mercy, while Rick on the other hand, began play fighting the twins.
"Hey weirdos!" A deep, faint, voice called out from over all the laughter and screaming and it caught all of our attention.
It was our favorite voice to hear every now and then.
"Bubba!" Jay yelled, running with his arms wide open to meet Carl by the door frame.
Dre and Judith joined in on the hug with Jay and Carl, and Rick and I smiled with reassuring hope.
Rick's warm, big arm wrapped around my shoulders and I laid my head upon his shoulder, staring back at our wonderful children.
"Guys, are you coming to the party?" Carl asked, whilst disconnecting from the hug.
"What party?" I asked.
"You forgot?"
"Yeah.. but whatever it is, it must be important, cause you shaved." Rick smiled.
Carl is usually seen with a beard now, and his hair in a ponytail.
Very seldomly does he shave. I guess he never finds the time.
"It's Hershel Jr's birthday!"
Oh hell! He's right!
I turned to Rick and we both gasped, with wide eyes.
"Shit." We mumbled.
"Better get moving, it's just starting." Carl chuckled.
"Alright, uh, let's go--"
"Noo," Carl exclaimed "You guys put on some decent clothes and I'll go ahead and take the kids down there."
"Okay." I smiled.
Suddenly, Carl walked over and planted a kiss on my forehead, and gave his father a pat of the chest.
"I know I never tell you two nowaday, but I love you."
"I love you too!" I exclaimed, pulling my sweet boy into a hug.
"We both do." Rick chuckled.
"Mom? You can let go now..
We have to get going."
Oh yeah, that's right.
I let got of Carl and he backed away with a smirk across his face.
"Let's go J, Jay and Dre!"
And with that, Carl scurried the kids out the room and down the stairs.
"I never tell you much anymore-- but I appreciate you alot and I love you very much, 'Chonne."
Rick's big arms pulled me into his embrace and I hugged him back, taking in his strong cologne.
"And I love you too." I giggled.
He pulled away and kissed my lips softly, leaving me speechless. I haven't had a kiss like that in a while.
"Kiss me again," I smiled, with my eyes closed this time.
And then he kissed again, but more passionately-- and several times. But we couldn't continue, because for some reason I couldn't stop laughing.
But in my opinion, that's the best kind of kiss. The kind of kiss when you just can't have enough of each other, so you can't stop smiling.
"What?" He smiled, through even more kisses.
"You're so cute." I giggled.
His smile faded and he pulled away, giving me the pouty lip, but he was nearly grinning.
"Cute is for puppies." He scoffed.
"Well,"
"You are one handsome man Rick Grimes."
His face lit up with a smile and he ran his fingers through his curls.
"You know, it's mighty quiet and we're alone." He shrugged.
He tilted his head at me and smiled a bit and--- I know this look.
"Absolutely not!" I grinned "we have to get to that party."
"Oh a few minutes won't hurt."
"I said no."
"Even if I do this?" He asked, placing his hands in my hips.
"Still no." I grinned.
"What about this?" His kissed my lips and trailed to my neck, leaving soft prints of his lips against my shoulder and my collar bone.
"Nope." I giggled, trying to pull him away.
"What about this?"
He spontaneously yanked my off my feet and held me bridal style, staring deeply into my eyes.
"Okay...we may have a few minutes."

And the next thing I knew, we were gettin down and dirty.

We stepped afoot onto Glenn's porch and straightened out our clothes one last time.
I can't believe we did that.
But-- I must say, it was truly worth it.
"How do I look?" I asked, turning toward my tall handsome husband.
He placed a hand on my shoulder and yanked away quickly, clutching his hands close to him..like I had burned him or something.
"Damn!" He exclaimed "you're so hot."
"Stop it." I smiled.
"How did I ever get so lucky?" He pretended to wipe a fake tear "I married someone who's so god damn beautiful, can cook so well, manage the kids, keep me happy--- aaand call me daddy in bed."
"I do not!" I laughed, softly hitting his arm.
I really don't...
Atleast I don't think I do?
I say all kinds of things in bed that I can't remember, but I'm sure I dont call him 'daddy'.
"You will tonight." He smiled.
"For Christ's sake Rick, get into the house."
And with that, I opened the door to Glenn and Maggie's house and pushed him in.
"The Grimes are here!" Glenn exclaimed, running over and greeting Rick with a stupendously long handshake.
He then hugged me softly and eyed me up and down.
"You are working it Michonne."
Seriously? I just threw on some dressy blue shit and some long black skirt Rick got me from his last run, and I topped it off with some flip flops.
But you know Glenn. He's always tossing around compliments.
His happiness is contagious.
"Thank you!" I smiled, "where's da burf day boy?"
"He's in his room." He smiled.
"Okay, uh, I'm gonna go wish him a happy birthday. I'll be back."
"Hurry back, we're playing cards in the kitchen."
I nodded and placed a kiss on Rick's cheek before heading off down the hallway toward Hershel Jr's room.
Before I opened the door, I could hear distant yelling. And a loud, rowdy voice chanting:
'on your mark, get set... rumble!!"
I bust through the door just in time to find Judith standing between Giovanni and some random child from around the hilltop..
"Judith, no!" I shouted.
I ran over and picked her up before she could cause anymore trouble, and held her tight so she couldn't wiggle down.
"You are not allowed to wrestle other kids!"
"Why not mommy?"
Oh God, the things Carl teaches her.
"Because you just can't. You know what, how about you come down stairs with the adults.. you're a big girl right?"
She nodded convincingly, and dramatically moved her curly bangs from her eyes.
"It's settled." I smiled.
And before I turned to walk out, I glanced at Hershel, who was sitting in the corner playing with Jay and Dre.
"Happy 5th birthday baby boy!"
"Tank you." he smiled.
And everytime he smiles, his cheeks dimple and his eyes squint a little more than they already do.
I then proceeded out the room and carried Judith with me into the kitchen.
"Michonne!" Everyone outbursted, like they haven't seen me in centuries.
"Hey girrll!" Maggie exclamined, shimmying her shoulders.
"Why you got Lil ass kicker?" Daryl asked, while shuffling cards.
His hair is short now... Carol finally made him get a haircut. It looks great on him..
But everyone else has their same ole hair, just a bit longer now.
"She was wrestling kids." I chuckled lightly.
Everyone let out a small laugh, and glanced at Judith as she laughed too.
"Well I guess she's playing cards with the big kids!" I joked.
"I guess so." Daryl shrugged.
I went over and took a seat between Carl and Rick, with Judith sitting firmly on my lap.
"Deal some cards!" Judith demanded.
Sasha looked at us wide eyed and raised an eyebrow at Judith's outburst.
"I don't know what we're gonna do with her." I shrugged playfully.
Usually, everything that Judith does, she either learns from her father, her older brother-- or me.
Daryl shook his head and handed cards to everyone.
"Are we playing in teams?" Jesus asked, snuggling into Carson's arms.
"Sure." Glenn shrugged.
"Team Grimes." Rick outbursted.
"No papa," Judith smiled "Team Family!"
