Rick's P.O.V

Jay caressed my head as I cried into the pillow and I have been crying for a while now but he hasn't left my side.
I began to quiet down my sobbing and just laid in my tears that soaked the pillow.

"So, are you ready to talk?" Jay asked

I didn't answer him and I soon felt a smack on the back of my head, "No more nice Jaden, you sit your head up and you talk!" he commanded

I sat up, still covering my face with my hands, amazed by Jay's outburst.

"What happened?"

"I- I didn't cheat on Michonne. I- I swear, I went to get a drink from the woman Jolene, and she drugged me and raped me. That's what happened and I know you probably won't believe me but that is the whole truth.. I was raped." I stammered

the was a long moment of silence before Jay pulled me into a hug, "I believe you man, you're a good homie and I know you wouldn't try to hurt Michonne."

I threw the pillow down, from all the anger.
I hurt Michonne and I hurt Carl and I hate myself for it. I really do.
I don't want to see them hurt, I would do anything for them not to, but isn't it crazy how I'm the one who hurt them?

"I just wish she would listen to me." I murmured

"I know, we have to find a way to get her to listen to you." he said

I shook my head and covered my eyes again, "there's no point in trying."

"Rick do you love her?"

I do. More than anything and, I ... I think I may love Michonne more than I loved Lori (yes I just used a line from the comics).

"More than I love myself." I said

Jay stared at me, he seemed to have froze. Maybe I said something wrong..?

"And you'd fight to get her back, wouldn't you?" He murmured

"I would."

"okay so why not try? fight to get her back! fight to get your point across! drop your colossal fears and use your pretentious thoughts!" he exclaimed

sometimes I barely understood Jay but he was so hyped, he made me understand.

"but how?"

we sat and thought for a second and then Jay got an idea, "Rick! when were you drugged?" he exclaimed

"Like 2 hours ago.."

"great! I mean that's not great but-- uh, nevermind.. now listen, this is going to sound weird but I need you to trust me." he said

I nodded for him to continue.

"I need a pee sample from you -- and before you flip out an--"

"okay." I cut him off

"Okay as in you'll do it?"

"yes." I didn't question why he needed my pee but Jay is a smart kid and I know he has a great plan in mind.

He sighed and pulled his hair behind his ear, "that was easy and oh!"

He reached into his pant pocket and pulled out a necklace. The necklace had many charms on it but Jay only took one off.

He then grabbed my hand and diligently placed it down and closed my fingers over it.
There was silence and it was so awkward since he was practically holding my hand.

I opened my hand back up and stared at the small charm in my hand,

"when this is all over and we prove to Michonne that you're innocent, you gotta do it."

I looked at Jay and his eyes stared at my hands the whole time, "I don't think I can."

"You have to! you said you loved her and now you have to."

I sighed and looked back down, "I will."

Michonne's P.O.V

After I nearly broke  Jolene's nose, Abraham pulled me off of her.
As I was being pulled away, Jolene smiled, her teeth covered in blood, I just couldn't understand her. How did she not learn her lesson and smile after I just knocked her senseless.
I've had enough! I hocked back my spit and spit on her face.

She could do nothing, since Carl held her back, but she wasn't going to do anything even if he wasn't. She's weak!

Abraham picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and carried me out.
Everything began to slow. I could hear Abe's footsteps and the voices in my head..

"anger makes you stupid and stupid gets you killed"

What did I just do? This isn't who I am!

"Abraham you have to put me down, I gotta go apologize!" I pleaded

he didn't even stop to consider my request, "You beat her already. It's over." he said
I didn't want to fight her again, I really wanted to apologize because that was so dumb of me... this situation isn't even her fault.

Rick's P.O.V
((the next morning))

Jay slept beside me last night, yes in the same bed. But not because he decided to but because I asked him to.

I felt better talking about my problems with him, he listened and he gave his feedback and I felt better. I didn't feel okay, but I felt better than shit.
It was also nice not to sleep in the cold empty bed alone.

I stared at the ceiling for awhile; thinking about Michonne.

Does she miss me as much as I miss her right now?

there was a sudden knock at the door and before I could get up to answer it, Jay had already hopped up and began running downstairs..
hmph.. I guess he was awake too.

the door opened and I listened closely to the conversation,

"Jaden, hello! I got the results," a non-familiar voice said

I heard an exchange of papers and Jay speak, "So it was?"

"Yes. There were heavy traces of Rhypnol in his system. And sorry it took so long to bring by these results, I was working on a patient with a broken nose and a busted lip!"

Jay chuckled and sighed, "That sounds awful, I wondered what happened to them.. but thanks doctor Carson."

"No problem, stay well kiddo."

the door shut and Jay ran up the stairs and nearly fell into the room.

he ran over to me and hovered the papers over my face, hitting my forehead with them.

"what? what is it?" I asked confoundedly

"It's the proof that you were drugged! and boy, she gave you alot.." he exclaimed

"what? really?" I asked

Jay put on his shoes and grabbed my jacked from the dresser, "yes!"

"where are you going!?"

"to Michonne to show her the truth!"

I sat up quickly and stared at Jay, "can I go too?"

he ran out the room and stood at the door, "don't think that's a good idea.. you'll end up like that patient Dr.Carson mentioned,"

I sighed and watched  Jay run down the stairs, "Don't worry Rick! I'll fix things-"

and that's all I heard after he slammed the door shut behind him.
