12:30 AM
All of the girls were asleep at the round table except for Alana. She was too excited to sleep. They were going to get a new member, apparently. "I wonder who it is.." She whispered, looking at her friends (not including Cassidy). They all looked peaceful, but LuLu was mumbling something. Cassidy was snoring, and Alice was in a thin bubble of air.
BEEP BEEP "Huntresses!"
Everyone jumped up, wiping sleep off their face. Alana was already at attention.
Eleanor smiled at the girls, and waved her arms. "Thank you for coming so early. It appears we have a new member. Everyone, meet your newest teammate, Ethan Hayes. He's my grandson, son of Evelyn and Terris."
"Terris? Ewwwww." Alice hissed, while Alana smiled. She once had a crush, on Terris, but love didn't prevail there. So her love got away. And she ended up marrying Kane. She glanced down at her wedding bands/engagement ring, and sighed. When did my life seem so... Wrong?
Alice looked up, sending Alana's negative emotions. "Something's up. What's wrong, Ferguson? Gay got your tongue? Oh wait, your dad gave your tongue to the guards-"
Alana screeched and tackled Alice, pinning her by the shoulders and ripping her head up by her hair. "I would advise you to be mute. Otherwise, we might lose a team member. And that wouldn't be so bad. So shut your stupid pie hole, Butterfly. Before I rip your wings off."
The girls continued to fight, Eleanor face palming in the background. "Ladies! Please focus!" She yelled, growling softly afterwards.
They stopped, staring wide eyed. They never knew such a tiny woman could yell like she had. It was frightening. "Yes ma'am." They whispered in unison.
A boy with blonde hair and emerald green eyes ran in. "What'd I miss? I heard yelling." He looked around, confused on why he was there.
"Ladies, meet Ethan. Ethan, meet Team ELDERBEAST. Ladies, please show Ethan around while I get more information on your next mission." Eleanor politely bowed and disappeared.
Cassidy smiled. "I'll show you around. I'm Cass." She smiled fairly at him, her brain lecturing her. I can do this... Well, I sure hope I know what I'm doing...
Alana mocked Alice's movements, wanting to tackle the girl again. "Watch your back, Butterfly. Or you just might be ripped apart." She ran out with her speed abilities, leaving behind a trail of blue roses the color of her eyes.
Alice sighed. "Whatever. I'm not scared of some Demigod punk. They always think they're so powerful... Well, they aren't. Let's see how Alana acts towards me when I break her spine.."
Eleanor watched the team slowly fall apart, concern on her face. This team was starting to fail. There was no way they were descendants of the original hunters. They were not working together properly. "There's no way... I cannot be wrong. They have to be the right people! Or.. We're all doomed.."
Lucille watched her grandmother. She frowned, and blended into the shadows. Doomed? She couldn't be serious. But it seemed Eleanor was. "Grandma... They're not the right people."
"You chose the wrong kids! This wasn't their fate! Cassidy is a serial killer. Alana is a... Wife-demigod-speedster thing! Alice is a forgotten princess! Isabella is the queen of Egypt! I'm a sorceress! There's no way we're the kids of Fate. You are mistaken." Lucille looked at Eleanor as she spoke. The older woman looked sorrowful, her hands folded.
"I guess I chose the right people then. Evelyn was a shadewalker. Ruby was a murderer. Serena was a queen of Egypt. Jaxon was a boy chosen by the Gods. And Starisse was a long lost queen. Your father... Bless his heart... Was an Elderbeast Hunter... All their descendants seem to be close to the originals. These hunters... They just have a team work problem... But they are the right people. So I'm not mistaken. They are the kids of Fate."
Lucille stated wide eyed. "My father... And mother?"
"Yes, dear. I trained your mother before... Well.. Anyways. So it's in your blood. So never forget who you are."
"I'll.. I'll defend my parents legacy! I'm Lucille Hayes, ELDERBEAST Huntress! The Gods will quiver before me!" She laughed evilly and turned towards Eleanor. "Not mistaken, eh? You seem to entrust the wrong people." She took her milky Quartz slab out as it changed into a long sword, stabbing Eleanor straight through the gut. "Sorry... Not sorry. Make sure you die this time."
"Kids like you.. Should be burning in hell..." Eleanor choked out as her essence evaporated. That was the last of Eleanor. There was no more traces, there was no more coming back.
She was gone.
