as sebastian had completed his second day at mckinley he had not seen rachel at all though he been quite busy he decided to head to the near by coffee shop called the lima bean. as he was still a college student he had to write a journal about working as a teacher and he wanted to start writing so he figured what better way than to do it while having a decent cup of coffee not the crapmthey had in the teachers lounge at mckinley.

as he walked in he headed to the counter and was surpised as rachel was stood waiting for her coffee.

" hello" she said to him she seemed shy bashful almost he thought she looked so pretty with the little hint of pink of her face.

" hello rachel" he said smiling at her

" are you enjoying your first week at little old mckinley" rachel asked

" yes very much" sebastian said as santana arrived infront of him facing rachel

" rach havent we told you guys arwnt interested in you so back off amd lets us pretty girls welcome the new guy" santana said sebastian wasnt sure what to do it was after sxhool hours so he wasnt their teacher now plus in truth he was so shocked and couldnt take his eyes off rachel who was staring at the floor.

" you shouldnt talk to her like that" sebastian said throwing caution to the wind

" im sorry but you dont know rachel always thinking guys like her" samtana said batting her eye lashes at him

" well what i do know is bullying isnt acceptable and while i cant do anything as its after school but i will say this if you speak to jer like that at school you will be sent to see figgins and i will be keeping my eyes peeleed and my ears open to check your not okay" sebastian said santana was speechless and walked off

" are you alright" he asked rachel who remained stood there but wouldnt look at him clearly she was embarrassed

" yeah" she said still not looking at him

" well dont listen to her she is just jealous" he said

" yeah right how can she be jealous of me" rachel said as she finally looked up at him

" as a memeber of the school facility i have to watch what i say but its quite clear given im a college student that she is a capital b"sebastian said all the while wondering why he felt the need to tell her  he was still in college.

" yes she is" rachel said as she got her coffee she smiled at him and went to her table and he ordered his coffee and found a table which happened to the next to the one rachel was sat at.

sebastian focused on his work or atleast tried as he was distracted by rachel laughig wih her friends she had an amaznign laugh he wondered why everyone in the place wasnt inraptured with her he felt it filled the room.

he noticed as rachel got up and put her cardigan on she looked over at him and tney shared a small smile bwfore she left.

the next day

as sebastian was walking the halls of mckinley to head out to his car as the school day ended he was putting his stuff in the trunk of his car and when he had finished he turned round to find rachel stood bwhind him smiling up at him.

" hey" he said

" i just wanted to say thank you for yesterday i never thanked you" rachel said

" no need to thank me" sebastian said

" yes there is not many people stick up for me" rachel said

" really" he asked surprised by it

" well blaine and sam and noah thats puck do" rachel said

" its nice that they look after you" he said

" well i best be going" rachel said

" yeah but you know you can talk to me rachel" he said

" thanks" she said they held each others gaze again before she eventually walked off.

later...

as sebastian sat at his tabel in his apartment eating his take out his mind kept going back to rachel he warm smile her plump lips. he shook his head he knew he shouldnt be thinking of her liks this he was were teacher it was wrong butnhis mind kept failing him as the brunette filled his thoughts. he thought of their gazes she had held his gaze on morw than one occasion could that mean she liked him he just didnt know.
