Y/N walked into the school, only to hear whispers and murmurs trailing behind her. She tried to brush it off and made her way to her first class—Art, with Mr. Jungkook. As soon as she entered the room, all eyes turned to her. The girls were whispering among themselves, while the boys ogled her with a mixture of curiosity and something more unsettling. She tried to ignore it until a few words cut through the noise clearly enough to make her blood boil.
“I heard she's the daughter of a criminal—her mom sells drugs and all sorts of illegal meds.”
That was it. After the rough day she had yesterday because of her mom, she’d had enough. She was tired, frustrated, and not in the mood to be anyone’s target.
“If you have a problem with me, then say it to my face!” Y/N burst out, her voice filled with anger, silencing the room instantly. “Criminal this! Criminal that! Do any of you even know the full story? Have you ever seen me with her? Did you ever see her here or hear me talking about her? NO! So shut the hell up and leave me the hell alone!”
Her outburst shocked everyone, but even more surprising was the fact that tears were streaming down her face. The realization of what she’d just done hit her like a ton of bricks, and she quickly gathered her things and rushed out of the room.
“Y/N!” Jungkook called after her, but it was too late. She was already gone. He turned to the rest of the class, his expression stern. “Listen up. Whatever issues someone has with their family, that’s none of your business. Tomorrow, I expect each and every one of you to apologize to her. If even one of you fails to do so, I’ll deduct 60% from everyone’s moral conduct grade.”
The class gasped in shock, but Jungkook’s gaze remained firm, leaving no room for argument.
The next day, Jungkook waited for Y/N, but she never showed up. With a sigh, he started his class, hoping she was just taking the time she needed. By lunch, his concern grew, and he headed to the teachers’ room where the rest of the staff were gathered.
“She didn’t come to school, did she?” Namjoon asked, noticing the worried look on Jungkook’s face.
Jungkook shook his head. “I have a feeling there’s more going on with her.”
Just then, Shin Hye walked in, looking for them. “The principal wants to see you all in her office now.”
The seven teachers exchanged glances before following her. When they arrived, they saw three unfamiliar girls waiting in the principal’s office.
“You called for us, Ms. Park?” Namjoon asked as they entered.
The principal, Dara, nodded and gestured for them to sit. “Yes, please have a seat. There’s something important we need to discuss.” She glanced at Jin, who sighed, understanding the gravity of the situation.
“As you can see, we have some visitors today. This is Lee Chaelin,” Dara began, introducing one of the girls. The seven greeted her politely, and Dara continued. “She’s Y/N’s sister.”
This revelation caught the boys by surprise, and they immediately turned their attention to her. Dara took a deep breath before continuing. “Y/N couldn’t attend school today because she’s struggling with severe anxiety. She was admitted to the hospital yesterday after collapsing but will be discharged tomorrow. However, she needs time to rest, and we’re concerned about her health. Despite this, Y/N is insisting on continuing her studies because she’s worried about the upcoming exams. So, I’m considering setting up homeschooling for her, with each of you taking turns to teach her.”
“We’ll do our best, Ms. Park,” Hoseok assured with a smile.
“There's one more thing,” Chaelin interjected. “Y/N has been very sensitive lately, especially since yesterday. Without going into too much detail, she’s had a difficult past, which has made her more fragile. Please be gentle with her. I’ll provide you with a list of things to do in case she has an anxiety attack, and I’ll give you my number so you can reach me if anything happens.”
The boys exchanged concerned glances but nodded in agreement. “And one more thing,” Chaelin added, her tone serious. “She hates being touched, even the slightest bit of skin contact. So please, be mindful of that.”
Understanding the gravity of the situation, the teachers nodded once more, determined to support Y/N in any way they could.
