Kassidy POV

This is not happening. I could have sworn that I locked that door. Ruby looks so pissed off. Maybe she's not as mad as she looks?

Ruby slammed the door and stood there staring at us waiting for an explanation.

Scratch that. She's pissed.

"Ruby.." I said. "Let me explain."

"Yes. Please do explain why you are playing tonsil hockey with our Algebra teacher!" Ruby hissed.

"I wanted to tell you, but you have to understand why I couldn't." I said.

"I don't have to understand anything!" Ruby said. Killian stood from his desk.

"Miss Lucas.. if you just cal-" He started.

Ruby shot him a glare. "Sit down Jones!" She snapped. Killian sat back down.

"Ruby please. Just listen to me." I said.

"How long has this been going on?" Ruby asked.

"November." I said.

"November?! It all makes sense now. The detentions, the weird looks you two give each other in class, Mr. Jones showing up at the hospital when you were shot, you disappearing the night of Emma's party.."

I nodded. "Yeah.." I said.

"What are you doing Kass? This is not good. Hes our teacher! Its not right and Hes like 100 years older than you!"

"Try 6! How old do you think I am?!" Killian asked. I looked back at him.

"Not helping." I said. I looked back at Ruby.

"I know Hes  our teacher. I know there's an age difference. But I love him and he loves me. And I wanted to tell you. But I wasn't sure how you would react and I don't want him to loose his Job."

"Okay, I may not agree with what you two are doing Kass, but I wouldn't try to ruin his life over it. you are my best friend. you should have known that!" Ruby said.

"I'm sorry. I know.. I should have trusted you. I just didn't want to risk it. I couldn't risk it." I said.

"I just feel betrayed right now Kassidy, I tell you everything! I Just want you to be happy, and if He is what makes you happy then I could have gotten used to it. Yeah, Its weird...but You should have trusted me." She said.

"Are you going to tell anyone?" I asked.

"No. I'm not. But you should at least tell Emma and Belle. You should have just told all of us from the start." She said. She was hurt and I felt horrible.

"Okay.. I will. Are we okay?" I asked.

"I don't know yet." She said and left the room.

"Well...that was a clusterfuck." Killian said and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Do really think she isn't going to tell anyone?" He asked.

"I know she wont." I said and sat down and sighed. "I'm really sorry. I thought I locked that door!" I said.

"Well, at least it was Ruby and not another student or teacher." Killian said and put his hand on my shoulder. I knew he was trying to make me feel better, but I felt awful, I almost got him into a lot of trouble, and I had possibly ruined my friendship with Ruby.

"Are you going to tell the other two?" Killian asked.

"I have to Killian. I can't expect Ruby to keep it a secret from them too. I trust them. I should have just told them from the beginning instead of lying to them." I said.

"I'm sorry I made you lie to them." Killian said.

"Its okay.." I said and stood up. "I better go. Lunch is almost over and I don't want to mess up anymore than I already have." I said. "See you later." I added and left the classroom.

Killian POV

There was a really odd tension between Ruby and Kassidy in class, normally I couldn't get the two of them to stop talking but they didn't speak to each other at All and Ruby glared at me the whole time. Kassidy wouldn't even look at me. She was really beating herself up over the whole situation. It was a mistake, and I wished I could make her understand that I wasn't upset with her. The world was just not giving her a break lately. When the bell rang, Kassidy stood.

"Miss Cole can you stay for just a minute? Miss Lucas you too." I said. Ruby rolled her eyes. I waited until everyone else left. Ruby put her work sheet on my desk.

"I didn't finish mine." Kassidy said.

"That's okay, I'm sure you'll still get an A." Ruby said.

"Jesus Ruby what kind of person do you think I am!" Kassidy spat. "He doesn't just give me As just because I'm his girlfriend.."

"Shes right. I don't. Whatever Grade Kassidy gets she gets on her own." I said, Ruby's comment bothered me, but not as much as it did Kassidy she was really hurt by what Ruby had said.

"That was a little uncalled for Miss Lucas." I said.

"Sorry." She muttered. "This is just weird." She said.

"I know its weird, but If you are going to be angry with anyone, be angry with me. Not Kassidy. I asked her to lie to you."

"Oh. I am angry with you. You're over here like 40 something, using detention as an excuse to get freaky with my best friend!"

40?? What the hell Ruby??

"Ruby, I'm 24." I said.

"And its not even like that Ruby.." Kassidy said. "We haven't done anything we have been waiting." She added.

"So...you aren't sleeping with him?" She asked.

"No...Not yet." Kassidy said. "We are waiting until I'm 18  So,if anyone found out, We wouldn't have done anything Illegal."

"Well.. I guess that's smart..ish but this is still not the greatest idea Kassidy. Hes a teacher. if anyone else found out it would ruin his career. He'd never be able to teach again."

"I know." Kassidy said. "Which is why we had been very careful until I fucked up and forgot to lock the door earlier."

"It was a mistake Kassidy.." I said.

"Is this why you wanted the Winter Formal to be a Masquerade ball? So you could go with him?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah." Kassidy said. Ruby sighed.

"Its still weird and I still don't know how I feel about this... But, that is clever and only a little cute." She said.

Kassidy smiled.

"So we are good?" She asked.

"He makes you happy?" Ruby asked. "You are sure this is what you want?"

"Yes, Ruby. I'm sure." Kassidy said.

"Yeah. We're good." Ruby said and smiled. Kassidy hugged her.

"Thank God. You being mad at me was the worst!" She said.

"I know. I'm sorry." Ruby said. "But you still have to tell Emma and Belle. Tonight." She said.

"I will." Kassidy said. That made me nervous but I knew it would make Kassidy feel better and as long as they didn't tell anyone we would be fine.

"So, Jones are we free to go? We kind of have plans." Ruby said.

"You can go." I said and looked at Kassidy. "Call me later." I said.

"Of course." She said and leaned in and kissed me. "Love you."

"Love you too." I smiled.

"Ew." Ruby said as Her and Kassidy walked out. I began gathering my things to head home for the day.

"Mr. Jones.." Ruby said and walked back in. I looked up at her.

"Yes Ruby?" I asked She walked to the desk and stared at me with a look that would have terrified a serial killer.

"This is your one, and only warning Jones. If you hurt her, in any way. There will be no place on this earth you can hide. I will destroy you." Ruby said.

"Got it." I said.

"Good." She said and smiled and walked away.

Kassidy POV

The four of us sat on Ruby's couch eating Pizza and working on homework. I was nervous as hell to tell Emma and Belle about Killian and I, but I knew it needed to be done. I couldn't ask Ruby to keep it a secret from them too. I trusted them. It was only fair they knew.

"So, I think  I've found someone to take Kassidy to the dance." Emma said.

"Kassidy already has a date." Ruby said.

"What?? Who?!" Emma asked.

"Mr. Jones." I said. Emma and Belle both laughed.

"That was a good one Kassidy. really.. who is the lucky guy?" Belle asked.

I was quiet. Belle and Emma looked back and forth between Ruby and I.

"No...way." Emma said.

"You can't be serious!" Belle said. "Hes a teacher!"

"Oh she's serious." Ruby said.

"I mean.. What?!" Emma said. "You are dating Mr. Jones?!" She asked.

"His name is Killian.. and yes."

"I don't care if his name is Bob! Hes our teacher, are you insane?!" Emma asked.

"I think we all know Kassidy is a little insane by now just hear her out." Ruby said.

"You knew about this?" Belle asked.

"I just found out today.. and I reacted the same way until we talked it out." Ruby said.

"How long has this been a thing?" Belle asked.

"Since November." I said.

"This is so...wrong. and Illegal." Belle said.

"Holy shit." Emma said. "November? How have you kept this a secret from us?" She asked.

"It hasn't been easy. and I didn't want to But I just didn't want to get Killian in trouble. and I'm aware that it is Illegal. but it wont be for long. I'll be 18 next month and we haven't done anything physical, well, I mean we haven't had sex. We've come close a couple times."

"Okay so that solves one problem, but Hes still a teacher and you are a student. that's like.. in every school hand book ever. Don't date your teacher." Belle said.

"I know." I said. "Look, I know that its crazy and its weird for you guys But, I love him. He makes me happy and I want you guys to be happy for me I understand that you are upset that I kept this from you but I did it to protect him. to protect us, because without him.. I don't think I would have survived half of what I've been through this year." I said.

Emma sighed. "Its weird.. and I don't know if I like it, but if you are happy.. then I suppose I can get over it." She said.

"Me too. I guess." Belle said.

"Really?" I asked. They both nodded and smiled.

I grinned. "This is great!" I said. "I feel like I can breathe again. But you guys can not tell anyone. Not Neal, Or Peter, and especially not Gaston." I said.

"Of course." Belle said. Ruby and Emma nodded in agreement.

I sighed in relief and sat back on the couch.

"So, what now?" I asked.

"Now, we help you make sure that you and Killian don't get caught." Ruby said.

"We'll call it Operation: Hot for teacher." Emma said and smirked.
