34 - Draaaaag

That lunchtime Avi and Mitch got distracted by food and forgot to discuss the whole money situation. They decided that they would exchange phone numbers and agreed to meet up at some point.

Avi was very excited so invited him to come to his apartment straight away.

That's how Mitch ended up led across Avi's bed that evening.

"I still don't understand why we can't do this on the couch." Avi groaned.

Watching Mitch in his bed was causing some unwanted feelings inside of him. It also didn't help that Mitch was wearing the tightest jeans known to man.

"Because I'm nosey and want to look at your stuff." Mitch said as he leant over and looked into the draws next to the bed.

Avi couldn't help but stare at his body from behind. It was like Mitch was purposely trying to fluster him.

He sighed and sat on the edge of the bed, keeping a fair distance from Mitch who was now kneeling near the pillows.

"What should we do then?" Avi asked innocently.

Mitch grinned and pushed forwards onto his elbows, arching his back. "What do you want to do?" He replied suggestively.

Avi's eyes grew wide and his heart stopped for a good three seconds. Mitch started to laugh really hard and fell onto his face.

"I'm kidding, oh my god." He continued to laugh even though his face was smushed in Avi's bedding.

Avi blushed and pushed Mitch playfully. "I was talking about the money thing."

After catching his breath, Mitch smiled and moved so he was sat cross-legged facing Avi. He pushed up the hair that never stayed in place and asked. "Ok, Abbie, got any ideas?"

He rolled his eyes at the nickname and tugged gently on his ponytail in thought for a moment.

As he rubbed his beard in thought Mitch decided it was taking too long and pretended to fall asleep.

"Draaaag." Avi said as he pushed Mitch again.

After steading himself, Mitch sat up straight and put his hand to his heart. "Yas, girl! You used it right!" He congratulated.

"Huh?" Avi asked with confusion in his voice.

"Normally you don't use it right, like, you just kinda say it whenever."

Mitch played with bottom of his jeans and smiled as Avi got more enraged.

"What?" He questioned again.

"You just don't use 'drag' right." Mitch said, subtly shrugging.

"Yes I do!" Avi shouted.

"No, you're like draa--"

Then Avi was on Mitch.

He pushed Mitch so he was lying with his back against the bed. His shoulders were pinned by Avi's hands and his breath caught in his throat.

"Stop." Mitch whined as he struggled against him.

Avi let his left hand relax and trail down Mitch's chest. It reached his side and suddenly Mitch jerked away from it.

"Are you--"

"No!"

"You're--"

"I'm not!"

"You're ticklish!" Avi shouted.

He sat on Mitch's thighs to keep him still and went to work on his torso. His hands were everywhere, tickling every body part he could get to.

"I hate it!" Mitch screamed as he tried to push Avi away through laughter.

Avi was enjoying watching Mitch squirm under him and smiled. He reached his hand to his neck and tickled there briefly before moving onto his sides again.

Mitch was now crying and laughing and punching Avi as hard as he could. Just as Avi reached out again Mitch caught his arm.

All movements stopped.

Avi was leant over him with his face just above Mitch's. One hand was still gripping his side and the other arm was being held tightly by Mitch.

Mitch pushed himself up with one elbow and let go of Avi's arm. It fell lifelessly to the bed at the side of his head.

They were breathing heavily and their chests were quickly moving up and down.

Mitch put his hand around Avi's neck and pulled him closer.

There lips brushed softly together when...

Walk like an Egyptian...

Avi sat up straight and Mitch tilted his head to the side.

Walk like an Egyptian...

The song was very loud and very annoying.

"What is--" Mitch started as Avi jumped away from him.

Walk like an Egyptian...

He quickly found his phone and pressed the 'accept' button to stop his ringtone blaring out anymore.

"Hello." He said in the phone, hiding his bright red cheeks with the screen.

Mitch sat up and pushed his hair out of his face. What just happened? Did that count as a kiss?

"What? Yeah, I'll be there. Give me like half an hour. Bye." Avi hung up and stood from the bed.

He held his hand out for Mitch who was still in shock and pulled him gently to his feet.

"Come on, we're going." He said as he threw Mitch his shoes.

He caught them awkwardly and frowned. "Going where?"

Avi finished putting his phone into his pocket and sighed.

"The hospital."

------

Kevin had been sat in the waiting room for only 20 minutes when he called Avi. He needed some support, everything was too much.

The only thing he knew was that Alyssa had grabbed onto her stomach, screaming and cursing, and had to be rushed to hospital. She passed out in the ambulance on the way and was now being hooked onto an IV.

He sat playing with his hands as patients were carted down halls and families waited for results. The white walls taunted him as he waited, the clock timed every second he spent on that plastic chair.

"Kevin Olusola?"

He stood as the women in blue scrubs announced his name. She walked over to him with a clipboard in hand and an artificial smile on her face.

"I have some news."
