"I'm so sorry. I love you more than anything. Never leave, I love you."

Alyssa was hugging Kevin as tight as she could. She was crying and sniffling all over the place.

"Al, we've been through this three times already. I forgive you, I love you too, and please calm down."

She continued to sob into his shirt, grabbing at him in desperation. Kevin stroked her hair and comforted her as she went through another mood swing.

"Come on, let's go watch a movie." He said as he moved her towards the bed. "I'll get the popcorn."

They sat in comfortable silence for the entire film. Alyssa was rubbing her bump slowly while Kevin tried to ignore how big her stomach was getting.

"Aoife." Alyssa said suddenly. "If it's a girl."

Kevin smiled at the name, he recognised it. "Beauty. Warrior princess."  He replied.

Kevin finally found enough courage to look at the bump directly. In there was his future child. It didn't matter how scared he was, he'd have to start acting more maturely, more sensibly, more like a father.

He rested his hand on top of it and smiled. "Aoife."

"Hello, Miss.Maldonado." A broad man greeted as he entered the office.

Kirstie shook his hand and showed him to his seat.

"I'm sorry we have to meet on such bad terms." He joked. "I'm here to talk with you about the incident that occurred yesterday."

Kirstie sat in her chair and nodded slowly. She hoped the inspector had been properly punished for the way he treated her students the day before.

"Unfortunately I cannot legally give you details of Dr.Vowels' sentence." He said regretfully.

She stopped herself from rolling her eyes and allowed him to continue.

"However I can tell you that his reports of the inspection are now void and he has no power over the future of this school."

Hold up, slow down, take a breath.

Kirstie simply nodded slowly but inside she was screaming.

She wasn't going to get shut down. Oh my god. The school was going to stay open!

"We will have to send a replacement in, however they will only be here for one day instead of the week. Good luck, see you again soon."

Kirstie showed him out and waved goodbye silently. When he was gone she slammed the door and leant against it.

"YES!"

------

Classes were being extra noisy that morning which meant Avi and Mitch had insane headaches.

Avi was trying to stay away from his coworker as he didn't want to be tempted again. He kept making little mistakes and one day he'd make a big one, like that weekend.

Thinking back to that weekend made him want to stay even further away. Mitch didn't like him that way, he hated him.

It was their lesson with Brad and Sam's class which meant everyone was being crazily loud.

Mitch was even uncomfortable by all the questioning the couple was receiving so imagine how Brandon and Samuel felt.

"It was so cool, man. Like, bruh!" A boy with basketball shorts and a neon yellow sweater said.

The kids at this school needed lessons in fashion.

Samuel nodded awkwardly, hating every bit of attention he was receiving. Brad really wanted to comfort him but he couldn't, not here.

"You don't have long people! Get rehearsing." Mitch announced with a few claps.

He watched as they all dispersed away from Brandon and Samuel. They both mouthed a thanks to him and started to get to work on their duet.

"Mr.Kaplan! Mr.Grassi!" The two teachers snapped their heads to the door.

Kirstie was stood there, arms folded and stance strong, with Tori beside her waving for them to leave.

Mitch motioned towards the kids but Kirstie just rolled her eyes. "You didn't seem to mind leaving them on Tuesday now did you?"

Avi and Mitch looked down at their feet and shuffled towards the door.

"Sam's in charge." Avi muttered as they left. "You know what to do."

Tori, Mitch, and Avi walked together in front of Kirstie. The click of her shoes echoed off the walls, she was walking with purpose but slower and with more authority.

She walked as though epic music was blaring from speakers behind her as wind blew her hair. She felt powerful and important and extremely extremely angry.

Tori pushed open the door to the office and allowed Mitch and Avi to enter.

They sat on the chairs opposite to Kirstie's desk, Mitch nervously biting at his nails and Avi cracking his knuckles.

"Good luck." Tori whispered as Kirstie entered the room.

She sat carefully on her seat and put her elbows on the desk with her fingers pressed together. She took a deep breath and began.

"I can't believe it." Kirstie started. "I just can't believe you would do this to me."

Mitch had been so deperate to talk with Kirstie but now he never wanted to speak with her again. He felt ashamed and guilty, he'd hurt his friend deeply.

"I wish I could say that I'm not angry just disappointed but I can't. You wanna know why?" She asked sarcastically.

Kirstie looked at them and raised her eyebrows. "Well?" She asked.

"Why?" Avi asked no louder than breath.

She laughed mechanically. "Because I. Am. Both."

The air was thick and the room felt like it was shrinking. Mitch wasn't breathing properly and it was making him light headed.

"I'm disappointed and angry!" She continued. "You risked not only the future of my school but the future of hundreds of job, thousands of kids."

She was exaggerating slightly to rub it in some more. Maybe she was being too mean but it was their fault.

"You left your class alone to have some fun? On my property?"

She was almost shouting now and had her hands balled up in fists. Kirstie looked over at Mitch and pointed.

"This is the second time this has happened. The first time I let it slip but now..." She faded out, shrugging.

"It was me. It was all my idea, he had nothing to do with it. Please." Avi suddenly pleaded.

Mitch turned to object but accidently noticed something glinting from the floor. It was a broken piece of glass.

He followed the pieces until he saw it. The picture of himself and his two best friends.

They looked so happy in that picture. So young and hopeful. Nothing like now.

And it was all Mitch's fault. He'd ruined their friendship. One of the dearest friendships he had ever and would probably ever have. He ruined it.

He made Kirstie hate him, despise him even. He'd ruined her one dream she'd had since her childhood.

He was always in the way of Scott, getting between him and Alex. He ruined everything. Everyone.

And then there was no more oxygen left for Mitch to breathe. He gasped for air and begged. "I can't. Help."

And then the world went black.

"Mitch!"
