Avi grabbed Mitch's waist and pulled him down to the ground. They fell into a pile of giggles and limbs.

"Motherfucker!" He shouted as he collided with the floor.

They both burst out laughing, Avi's arm still around Mitch.

Avi had landed almost completely on top of Mitch but neither cared or moved.

"I win." Avi teased as he reached over and touched the white line.

A moment passed before Mitch rolled over so he could face the man above him.

Avi looked down admiring his 'enemy's' beautiful eyes and perfect features. He breathed deeply and was hit by the familiar scent of his coworker's cologne.

Mitch bent one of his knees up so Avi was between his legs. Their stomachs were pressed together and their faces were inches apart.

"This is the only part left of the tour. Once we've done this I'll set up some interviews with teachers." Kirstie said hoping for this to end soon.

They walked down the hallway in an uncomfortable silence.

Kirstie was actually feeling quite proud of her school. The inspector hadn't said anything bad about it yet, he'd only mocked individual subjects.

Only one thing left to show him and then she wouldn't have to deal with him any longer.

Tori led them outside which meant Kirstie didn't notice that the door had already been open.

Her heart sunk to her stomach as they stepped out of the doorway and onto the field.

"What in heaven's name is going on here!" The inspector shouted, raising his voice for the first time since his visit.

Shit.

Kirstie, Tori, and the inspector had just walked out to see Mitch and Avi led on top of each other, seconds away from kissing.

Tori gasped and covered her mouth whereas Kirstie clenched her fists and held her tongue.

Avi looked down into Mitch's terrified eyes and quickly scrambled off of him. He stood instantly, holding his arms behind his back and hanging his head low.

He didn't know who this man was but he looked official. He was definitely in some deep shit.

Mitch took longer to recover which meant when the inspector marched over to them he was still led on the ground.

"What is the meaning of this?" He snapped while pointing between the two men. Just then he noticed their teacher IDs which were hanging from their necks.

"You're teachers!" He shrieked.

Kirstie watched as Mitch stood up and joined Avi. She sighed heavily as she tried to keep her anger at bay.

"What do you have to say for yourselves?" He screamed, stepping closer to them.

They both stumbled over their words and quickly thought of everything they could to make the situation better.

Tori shook her head at them and put a hand on Kirstie's shoulder. The inspection hadn't gone amazingly but it had gone alright... until now.

"This school would have passed, I hope you realise. If you had not done this, it would have stayed open."

Kirstie was about to break down and cry. She'd spent years building this school into what it was today and now it was all for nothing.

"Sorry, what you you mean by 'stay open'?" Mitch asked in the smallest voice he had.

The inspector laughed. "I am shutting this school down and it's all your fault." He said smiling wickedly.

Mitch looked past the man and saw a figure drop to the floor. Kirstie.

"Legally I have to inspect an establishment for one whole week but I can assure you that nothing can be done to change my mind."

Kirstie was on the ground bawling her eyes out. Everything was ruined! The kids wouldn't have anywhere to go, the staff wouldn't have jobs.

The inspector gave them one final look and marched towards the entrance of the school to calm down.

Wiping the mascara from her cheeks, Kirstie met Mitch's eyes from afar. He looked petrified but she didn't care.

He and that stupid music teacher were the reason her school was shutting down.

It was all their fault.

------

"Kirstie, please!"

After the inspector had stormed off, Tori arranged some staff interviews to take his mind off of it. It meant that he was occupied which meant Kirstie could return to her office.

On the way there she heard footsteps behind her chasing her down the hallway. Mitch had shouted as loudly as he could but Kirstie still didn't stop.

"I'm so sorry!" He called as Kirstie approached her office door.

As she opened it, she turned to face him. He had tears streaming down his face and his nails were bloody from biting them so much.

Mitch opened his mouth to speak again, grateful that she had stopped to listen. However just as he took a breath she slammed the door in his face.

"Please!" He said desperately as he hit the door.

Kirstie was shaking from the amount of anger she had pumping through her veins. She ran over to her desk and, in one clean swipe, pushed everything on it to the floor.

"Kirstie!" Mitch yelled, kicking and banging on the door again.

She ignored his voice and looked for more things she could take her anger out on. Just then she noticed a picture frame on the floor.

It was a heart shape and had sat on her desk since the day she arrived. It was a photo of her, Scott, and Mitch in high school. They were all smiling and to her it symbolised all the happy memories from her teenage years.

Kirstie picked it up slowly and stared at the picture. Scott had his arms around them both, he was always such a noodle, and Kirstie was smiling widely.

Then she looked at Mitch. He was just as skinny as today but had paler skin and shorter hair. He was also smiling, a rare expression for him during his teen years.

"Please, Kirst! I'm sorry!"

As soon as the desperate pleads from the door returned, she remembered why she was shaky and crying.

It was his fault. She took one last look at the picture before she threw it violently at the wall.

Mitch slid down against the door and sat on the ground.

"Please."
