Not long after, the bell rang to signify the end of lunch. The four groaned and stood up.

"Thanks for sitting with us guys. See you tomorrow?" Scott said patting Kevin's shoulder.

Avi smiled at Mitch's face, you could just see the snarky comments waiting to come out.

"Sure. I mean, if it's ok?" Kevin said referring to Mitch who still looked angry at his enemy sitting with him and his best friend.

"Of course it is, silly. See you later."
With that Scott and Kevin went their separate ways towards their own rooms...

...Leaving Mitch and Avi alone together.

"What class do we have?" Avi asked hoping to have an easy group of kids.

He was kidding himself though, none of their classes were easy.

Mitch thought about it for a second before he replied.

"Our favourite."

-----

Kirstie and Tori had missed the lunch break due to a discussion about the upcoming inspection.

"Can you send a message to everyone please?" She asked the assistant who grabbed her laptop instantly.

"What should it say?" Tori asked clicking the 'all staff ' button.

Kirstie started to recite what she wanted to be written, it was a formal email to make sure everyone knew it was serious.

"And done. Anything else before I turn it off?" She asked Kirstie after sending the message.

She shook her head and sighed.

This had to be the worst thing ever. First her budget for the school was cut by a stupid amount and now an inspection.

Things needed to be done before any sort of inspector came. She couldn't afford to fail it, the school would get shut down.

"We need to make a list of stuff to do before they come." Kirstie said opening her draw for a pen and pad of paper.

She wrote 'inspection' at the top in all caps and beautiful handwriting.

"How are the sports facilities?" She asked starting from the outside of the building.

Tori often walked past there to take a quick look at some of the gym teachers. Don't judge, you'd do the same if you saw them.

"Everything seems good. I can ask the teachers if you want?" She asked trying to find an excuse to get closer to the incredibly fit men.

"I'll ask in the meeting later. Don't worry." She wrote it quickly on the page.

"IT?" Was her next question.

"All computers are in good condition. Ask Jake about it though to make sure."

The same questions and answers continued until they got to drama and music.

"Everything's ok equipment wise, it's just..." Tori's voice faded not wanting to say anything rude.

"The teachers." Kirstie stated truthfully.

The only thing wrong with their department was the state of the relationship between the two teachers. The inspector wouldn't think much of the school if two teachers are arguing in front of students.

Both women sighed.

"Hey guys." Mitch greeted the students outside the door to their room.

Avi unlocked the door and allowed the kids to filter in and waited for Mitch before shutting it.

"What a gentleman." Mitch joked under his breath.

The class knew what to do so started quickly. Avi and Mitch were not needed much for the lesson with this group.

Mitch got bored instantly and tried to think of something to do. What did he used to do?

Oh right, Travis.

Thinking back to his ex booty call sadden him immediately.

"What's up?" Avi asked noticing his depressed expression.

"Nothing, just bored." Mitch lied shaking his head.

"What do you want to do?" Avi was trying to help even though he knew Mitch had just lied to him.

"Don't know." Mitch mumbled quietly.

"Wanna go for a walk?" He suggested looking at the busy students.

Mitch nodded. Maybe he'd get distracted enough to forget about the guilt eating at his insides.

"We'll be right back. Samuel's in charge until then. Be good!" Avi announced as he left the room with Mitch behind.

"How was your day?" Avi generically asked to make some conversation.

"You were there for most of it."

Mitch tried to join in so he could stop thinking about how he ruined Travis' life.

"So it was amazing." Avi teased.

Mitch rolled his eyes as he pushed the door open that joined two hallways.

"Amazing? I'm thinking of a different word." He replied pretending to think.

The dragon-man was quick to respond. He turned around and started to walk backwards so he could face Mitch.

"Fantastic? Inspiring? Indescribably brilliant?"

Mitch giggled at Avi being childish. It was weird to see such a Dad acting like a five year old.

"No it begins with an S." Mitch said tapping his finger to his lips in mock thought.

"Super?" Avi tried smiling like a goof ball.

Mitch was about to smile back when he saw Travis' old classroom in the distance.

"Shit." He said bluntly.

Avi frowned.

But it didn't look like a normal frown, it was strange and made him look like an old man. A super frown.

"Wow. Has anyone ever told you how nice you are?" Avi said with his hand on his heart.

They continued walking gazing into classes every so often until they reached the back doors.

"Where are we going?" Mitch asked hesitantly, scared Avi was going to pull some serial killer shit or kidnap him.

Avi opened the doors to reveal the school's playing fields.

"Well there's that meeting later so we won't be getting out until late. I was gonna go sit on the football field to get some fresh air."

Avi stepped outside but Mitch remained where he was.

"Hello from the other siiiide!" Avi sang.

It didn't matter that he sounded perfect it was still a bad joke.

Mitch shook his head and stepped onto the grass letting the door shut behind him.

"We don't wanna get caught by Kirst though." He reminded.

Avi grabbed his hand and winked.

"We'll be sneaky."
