PENTATONIX HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR ANOTHER GRAMMY!

That is all.

Chapter 15.

Go.

-

She was trying.

Like really trying.

"I love you. I'll be back around six." Kevin gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Love you too. Don't stress yourself out, okay?"

She had a firm grip on his tie, Kevin assumed she was just not wanting to let him go.

"If you need anything please call."

Kevin waved his goodbye and got in his car.

She was trying.

Trying to hide it from him.

Alyssa watched as he drove off and when he was half way down the road she finally relaxed.

"Aaaahhh!"

Alyssa's pains hadn't stopped or even improved since the doctors visit. She was hiding them from Kevin so he didn't freak out.

"Ow. Fuck!" Now that Kevin was gone she swore loudly. It relieved a small amount of pain.

It felt a little like cramps but so much worse. It was like someone was twisting her organs and stabbing her at the same time.

But according to the doctor the results seemed positive and they must just be regular pregnancy pains. They did an emergency scan and checked her and baby's vitals. Nothing wrong.

Except this excruciating pain that caused her to scream and curse all day.

Alyssa needed to do something about them. She'd already tried medical professionals and that hadn't helped. What else was there?

Google!

She opened her laptop that was on Kevin's desk, fighting the urge to scream as she sat down in the chair.

She started typing.

'pains in pregnancy'

Click.

Instantly thousands of results popped up. The first was from a pregnancy website.

'Pregnancy symptoms you shouldn't ignore. Get...'

Click.

It didn't sound like a very promising page. Alyssa did know that they wanted someone to click the link so their wording might have just been for attention. But she was still worried.

She quickly scanned the page.

'Pains could mean:
-an ectopic pregnancy
-miscarriage
-premature labour'

None of them were good. Alyssa started breathing heavily out of fear.

'The pains could mean danger to you or your baby. Visit your midwife or doctor if symptoms persist.'

Danger? That meant death, right? She didn't want to die. She didn't want her little baby to die.

Oh my god.

-----

"Kevo, welcome back. Alyssa feeling any better?" Jake asked as the pair walked in the gates.

"Much better, thank you for asking. Doctors said it was nothing."

Kevin was wearing a white shirt and navy blue tie with smart black trousers. Jake on the other hand was wearing jeans and the world's brightest top.

Kevin thought that comparison showed the difference between their departments, lauguages and IT. The difference between the ancient and the modern.

Jake thought it just showed the difference in their fashion choices.

"That's good. I'm so glad she's OK. "

"Me too. God must be looking out for them."

They were reaching the entrance of the building.

"Got any names yet?" Jake asked.

"Not yet. Got any ideas?"

It was a bit early for names, right? Kevin thought it was. He would still like some input though.

"If it's a boy then Jake. If it's a girl then Jacki."

Original. Kevin laughed as they reached the stairs.

"I'll keep them in mind. Have a good day."

"You too."

They separated as Kevin went up the stairs and along his hallway.

"Hey, Homie! You're early."

Kevin had opened the door to his room to find Avi sat at his desk. He stood, they 'bro-hugged' and then they both sat down.

"I really need to talk to you."

"Shoot." Kevin replied.

"I've recently discovered something about myself. I need... you're like my best friend in the world, ok?"

"Thanks, brother." Kevin said quietly with a smile.

"So I feel like I should tell you this. I'm... um. I'm bisexual."

Avi was nervous. There was no need to be. Kevin was his greatest friend and judged no one. But that didn't stop him from wanting to faint.

"That's cool. Don't be so scared, Kaplan."

Kevin stood up and motioned for Avi to follow.

"Thank you." He replied standing next to his friend.

Kevin wrapped his arms around Avi's waist as the shorter man held onto his neck.

It was moments like that when they realised their height difference.

"I'm off for two days and this happens. I swear I miss everything when I'm gone." He patted Avi's back and let go.

Avi started to walk towards the door but stopped and turned back to face Kevin

"I love you." Avi said in a small voice.

"I love you, too."

-----

It was a few minutes before the first bell.

Avi walked into his shared room. He didn't say anything and sat down in one of the student chairs. The chair furthest from Mitch

"What's up with you?" Mitch asked noticing Avi's weird mood instantly.

"I told Kevin." He said with an exhale.

"Did it go well?"

If it didn't Mitch was ready to slap that cinnamon roll to the ground.

"Yeah. It was fine."

Good because Mitch didn't even think he could reach Kevin's face to give him a proper slap.

Mitch understood the emotions that occurred when coming out but for him once he'd finally told a person he was relieved and felt happier. He didn't understand Avi's cold tone and distance.

"What's wrong?" He tried again.

"Nothing."

"Yes there is."

Mitch might have still hated Avi but if he was going to be like this all day, he wanted to help.

"I said it's nothing." Avi said through clenched teeth.

"Why won't you tell me?" Mitch asked, offended.

Avi must only want to talk to him when he's drunk.

"It's none of your business." Avi snapped looking up at Mitch from his side of the room.

"Excuse me for being a nice person."

"Excuse me for thinking I can have some privacy." Avi held eye contact with his colleague.

"Privacy? I'm just looking out for you?"

He was just trying to be nice. He didn't deserve the bitter tone.

"I didn't ask you to."

It must be Avi's time of the month. He was being such a bitch.

"That's your problem! You never ask for help and never tell anyone what's on your mind." Mitch said with just as much anger as Avi.

"Maybe that's just who I am."

Mitch walked over to Avi. This was their first actual fight in a while, the others were mostly playful or were kind of flirty.

"Maybe it is. But if it means you're going to be telling everyone your very personal secrets every time you get drunk then I think it's something you need to change."

Avi shut his eyes.

"Just drop it, Mitch."
