Spilling tea (requested)
A/N: i just think it's super funny how i got this request right after this happened:
to the girl i spilled my water on, i'm so sorry, again💀
i hope you guys will like this one :)
You had an extremely shitty day. The worst one in months. You felt like the whole universe was against you and everything you tried to do turned into a mess.
Earlier, you took your anger out on a customer at work and safe to say, your boss wasn't so understanding when you explained the situation to her. She fired you immediately. You were so upset with everything, you just wanted to have a nice tea at your favorite place, secretly hoping it's gonna make your day better.
'What can I get for you today?' the girl smiled at you, ready to take your order.
'Can I have black tea, please without sweeteners?'
'Sure, no problem ma'am.'
You thanked her and paid for your drink, patiently waiting for it to be done. You massaged your head with your fingers, trying to relax a little bit, trying not to think of all the things that have happen that day.
You hated your job anyways, it wasn't a big deal you got fired. You just felt sorry for the poor guy you yelled at for five minutes straight just because he accidentally dropped his fries on the floor.
'Your order is ready!' you heard the girl's voice.
'Thank you' you gave her a weak smile when she handed you the hot beverage.
You turned around to look for a place to sit and be alone with your thoughts when you bumped into someone. Your hot tea ended up on the woman in front of you, leaving a light brown mark on her beige sweater.
'Bloody hell, could this day get any worse?!' you whispered to yourself. 'I'm so sorry, ma'am' you looked in her eyes.
'Your fine, don't worry. I didn't really liked that sweater' she shrugged. 'But to be fair, this coffee is really hot' she laughed.
'It's tea' you whispered and felt a knot in your throat. You were seconds away from crying.
'In that case, this tea is really hot' the blond woman chuckled.
'That's how i like it' you smiled a little. 'Sorry again, I promise it wasn't personal' you joked.
'It's okay. It happens. Don't worry about it' she smiled sympathetically.
You nodded your head and made your way to an empty table, not caring about the situation anymore. It is what it is, you thought.
You sat down without your tea, burying your face in your hands. You didn't care about anyone in the café, you just wanted to cry. You knew it's gonna make you feel a little bit better.
A few minutes later you felt someone sitting down across the table.
'Here, I got you another tea. It looks like you're having a hard time' you heard the blond woman's voice.
You looked at her with red eyes, tears rolling down your face.
'Is it black tea?' you sniffled.
'Yes it is' she giggled.
'Without sweeteners?'
'Yes ma'am.'
'How did you know?' you wiped the tears from your face.
'I asked the cashier and reordered it.'
'Thank you' you smiled a little at her. 'That was the best thing that has happened to me today' you slowly reached for the cup in front of you.
'Sounds like you had an unpleasant morning then. Can I do something else for you?'
'You've done enough, thank you for the tea. I can pay it back to you, do you use Venmo?' you asked then took a sip of the drink.
'You don't have to, really. It was nothing. And just for your information, it's not just the tea that's extremely hot at this table' she smirked.
'Are you trying to make me feel better by complimenting me?' you asked, laughing a little.
'I don't know, is it working?'
'Yes, it is.'
'Then yes, that's exactly what I'm doing' she smiled. 'Taylor.' You must have had a confused look on your face because she corrected herself. 'My name. It's Taylor.'
'Oh yeah, of course. Sorry, I'm really not the brightest today. I'm Y/N.'
'It's nice to meet you. So, Y/N, tell me, are you this clumsy all the time or it's just the spirit of a bad day?'
'I promise I don't spill my drinks on people a lot. To be honest, this was the first time I did' you said quietly, a wave of embarrassment rushed over you.
'I'm glad you did.'
'Are you now?' you asked, raising your eyebrows.
'Yeah, totally. At least I had a reason to talk to you. I was standing in line right behind you and I was thinking 'damn, this girl really is beautiful, how do I start a conversation with her' and then boom, you decided to burn my skin down.'
'You're just saying that to make me feel better about it.'
'I'm not! I promise. I'm being fully honest over here, Miss' she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. You could tell she was a little nervous.
'Why thank you' you blushed.
'Are you hungry?' she asked out of nowhere.
'I guess I could eat.'
'Looks like it's your lucky day because I know an amazing place a few blocks from here, if you're interested.'
'Yeah sure. Tell me the address and name, I'll check it out.'
Taylor looked at you and blinked a few times.
'I'm just kidding' you giggled. 'If it was a date invitation, I would like to go with you.'
'You really had me there for a second' she sighed.
She waited patiently for you to drink your tea and when you were done, the two of you headed to her favorite restaurant. It might had been a bad day but it still was your favorite out of all. After all, you met the love of your life, the woman of your dreams, your wife, Taylor.
A/N: I'm taking requests, Loves, so feel free to leave a comment here or message me :)
