I stepped out into the cold night. My shift was finally over! I am free from this stupid hotel! I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. Ugh. I need a shower desperately. I stood by the curb and waited for a taxi to come by. I'm wasting money and getting money...
That doesn't sound like what a professional man would do. Except a professional man would also have his own car, so I'm deffinatly not gonna become a man anytime soon.
A familiar looking taxi with a blotch of blue paint on the side parked infront of me. The front window rolled down as a goofy grin from the same man greeted me.
"Hello stranger."
He greeted playfully and chuckled. I smiled and opened the back car doors. I stared at the seats. They were very......colorful. I touched the seat and an odor came to my nose.
"Uhm... What happened? Did an old lady throw a paint bucket at you?"
The man turned from his seat and looked at me, studying my facial features while speaking.
"Actually, a painter did. He didn't like the seats and he just happened to have a loose cover to a paint can. And then..."
I laughed so hard tears came to my eyes. When I finally calmed down I stared at the seats again.
"Well this will be fun."
Just as I was about to climb into the back I heard a door shut and I felt an arm grab my forearm. I whipped my head around to see the taxi driver staring at me and smiling kindly. My face was pink. I thanked the darkness and gave him a questioning look.
"I'll let you have the front. Its not like its against the law. I can have you in the front."
I smiled and reached my hand out so I could open the door but the taxi driver got to it first. My hand on top of his I stared into his eyes. I quickly shook my hand off as he opened the door.
I muttered a thanks before he walked to his side of the car. He sat in the seat next to me and smiled.
"My names mark."
I looked at him as if he pooped out a chicken. He gave me a worried look.
"What? Was it something I said?"
"No. It was just random!"
I laughed. He laughed back and put his hand on my shoulder.
"What's your name, sir?"
I pretended to gag and he gave me a straight face.
"Jack....well my names Sean, but I like to be called jack."
"Well hello jack! I'm gonna be your personal taxi driver! Considering everyone else in the city thinks I'm crazy..."
I giggled.
"Oh and sèan is a very sexy name!"
My face went red again.
"W-what? Thanks I g-guess. Marks pretty hot too."
Now it was his turn to turn into a cherry. He giggled and started the cab. We drove to my house without me having to say where I lived.
"Thanks for the ride. But uh, how did you know where I live?"
"I memorized it! Its just really easy for me to remember. Especially (Geezuz I kept spelling this wrong!) Since I live right next to you!"
I stood there with a blank expression. Before anything could come out of my mouth he drove off smiling like a goofball. I grinned and strode up my steps. For once I was looking forward to the next morning to come.
