Third-Person POV

Colorado University Hospital...

"No change," the doctor muttered as she took down her notes while observing the male patient who was wearing an ethereal mask of iron that bore strange markings. "It's been ten years since this guy arrived."

"What happened to him?" a male nurse, an Omega werefox, asked as he checked the mystery guy's pulse.

"Last time I checked, this guy came from out of nowhere wearing this strange mask and was unresponsive," the female doctor replied. "That was ten years ago since that Girbaud fellow bit the dust by an Omega wolf who shot him dead."

The nurse glanced at the patient, his eyes narrowed at the mask. "You don't think that this guy's none other than Girbaud, the same guy who brutally slaughtered everyone after losing everything when he rejected and killed Tauren Knox, do you? If it is, then we might be in big trouble."

The doctor paused from her note-writing, a  look of concern on her face. "Get me a DNA kit ready," she ordered gently. "You could be wrong about this, but I'm not taking any chances. And get me the head CEO and the head doctor here right-"

There was a loud gasp as the mystery man's eyes slammed open, him gripping the bedsheets  just before Rhea and Cronus appeared out of nowhere.

"Ever Your servants," the doctor and nurse intoned as they bowed low.

"Be at peace," Cronus intoned gently as Rhea came to the now-awake masked man's side.

"Your Grace, what is going on?" the nurse asked worriedly.

"The time for his comatose state is over," Rhea explained. "Eric Girbaud is indeed the man in the iron mask, but once I remove it...a new journey is set to begin."

Gentle reader, just as the world was getting news of the resurrection of Tauren Knox, a new resurrection and rebirth was getting ready to take place. No one would be prepared enough for what was to follow. Revelations will be made, training will follow, and more drama will come. And yes, folks, Eric and Tauren will reunite once again.

Not for Tauren's story, mind you, but for this book! It's been a thrilling ride for this story and I still want to thank Lyfeo_M_Jay for writing "The Beta's Second Son (the original version before it was rewritten)" because I became inspired to write something similar but with a more-lethal twist that would be full of surprises and so much more. And now, this story went from concept to reality. I originally wrote this as a one-book story where Tauren and Zechariah would be reunited in heaven and live in Elysium in happiness. But once I began writing act two, I knew that I wanted to go the distance and really make this story into a trilogy. All I can tell you is that book two is going to be even more challenging with lots of game-changers, new characters, some old ones making an appearance, fluff, puff, sensual scenes, and plenty of drama!
