Chapter Thirty-Two: Bloodlust and Haunted Dreams
Eric's POV
Several days after the first initial murder...
For an Alpha wolf who lost everything, bloodlust is all I know best.
I had no problem ending lives of those who I see as useless or worthless to my future plans of dominance.
Even after slaughtering all the members who turned against me alongside the disgusting Omega male and his pup, my mind has been set on one thing and one thing alone: revenge.
It was thanks to that Omega whom the gods paired me up with as my soulmate that ruined my life completely. It was thanks to that Omega who was a detriment in my late best friend's family lineage that soiled any plans for me to have all that I wanted and nothing that I didn't. And it was thanks to that disgusting runt of the litter that I lost my sons to those rogues who keep warning me of my demise by the hands of these so-called deities who don't know jack shit of how things are supposed to run!
I have no problems of killing anyone and everyone who got in my way or were unfortunate enough to cross my path while taking out the sane rogues who keep badgering into my life and warning me of what's coming. It's all so annoying how they keep popping up out of nowhere as if Artemis, Horus, Cronus, and Rhea were too sadistic with these mind games that they're playing.
"You can't stop what is inevitable, Girbaud! Tauren Knox was a sweet kid who didn't deserve to die so young and sweet. All he wanted was love and you gave him a fatal middle finger."
"Omegas are the pillars of the community despite your extremist beliefs. Any Alpha and Beta would kill to have one as their mate to dote upon, even rogues like myself. If your ex-mate was alive, I'd be glad to claim him as my soulmate and do my damndest to live a good life so I can make him happy."
"The more you try to fight against your demise, the more painful it will be. We sane rogues are doing what must be done by Cronus' commands to make you see reason. But you are beyond reproach and refuse to listen. I only pray that you come to your senses before it's too late."
Disgusting and pathetic! It all pisses me off to the point where I would just keep killing them off alongside the random bystander- supernatural being or human- who stood in my way. No one would be spared and I would only grow hungrier and hungrier to take out my family and all those living new lives in the Blue Galaxy pack in Oklahoma City. Then, the werewolf kingdom would soon be mine for the claiming as I would lead a new era where the weak would be mercilessly slaughtered and I walk on their bodies like the dust that they are.
Even now, as I head back to my room of a shady motel that I claimed as mine (I gladly ended the owner's life alongside his daughters' simply because I could), my bloodlust was more apparent while my wolf was now one with me. "More," I grunted as my eyes glowed red with power. "More blood. More death. I want more and I want them all dead."
One shower later, I was now clean as a whistle before diving underneath the covers as sleep began to take me under...
DREAM SEQUENCE
"Eric."
I snapped my eyes open to find myself back into the void from the first dream I had, now fully dressed and staring face to face with the ethereal version of Tauren Knox as he was dressed in all white. "What the hell do you want, runt?" I spat.
Tauren crossed his arms, giving me a sad stare. "I see that you're set in your ways of killing everyone and anyone who came across you after losing your sons, godsons, and my brother- your best friend," he commented. "You even killed all those who turned against you after they saw right through your facade and lost loved ones and friends to the feral rogues and even your hand."
"And who's fault is that? This is on you, you fucking shit. If you had killed yourself like everyone demanded you before my birthday, then none of this would've had to happen," I sneered. "My sons would be alive as would my best friend and his brood. Liz wouldn't be turned into a man alongside Raelynne and my mistress. And my pack would've been thriving under my dominant control."
"But that would leave me in the underworld all because I broke my promise to Anissa and Elisse."
"Hey, promises were meant to be broken," I rebutted, sending him a smirk of my own. "Besides, runt, I'm sure that Cronus and Rhea would've saw the truth that they messed up in creating you and soiling the legacy of your brother's family dynasty of powerful Betas and warriors who showed no mercy to weak links like yourself. In all honesty, Artemis should've been sacrificed by her siblings and parents when you came into this world."
BOOM!
A flash of lightning lit the skies briefly while a thunderclap nearly deafened my ears. "What the fucking hell?!" I bellowed, using my fingers to rub my ear canal.
Tauren just smirked at me. "You shouldn't have blasphemed the gods like that," he intoned. "They don't take too kindly to that."
"I'm just speaking the truth."
BOOM!
"Shit!" I hissed, now glaring above. I turned my attention back to Tauren. "Make this stop, you little shit!"
"I can't," he replied flippantly. "Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't. You brought this on yourself the moment that your rejected and killed me because you saw me as worthless. I accepted my fate with open arms while you're only killing to avoid the inevitable fate that's waiting for you. Mark my words, Eric Girbaud. You will end more lives, that I cannot deny. But it will be you who will have the furthest to fall."
"I have nothing to lose anymore, runt! You and those gods took everything away from me," I seethed. "It's only fair that I fight to get it all back and reign the werewolves as I see fit! And when I do, all the Omegas will die without pity and all those who will not be for me will be against me!"
I stormed over and backhanded him, but he felt no pain. "So be it, Eric Girbaud," he intoned in a formal voice. "What you sow to the wind will be reap as a whirlwind of divine retribution. Enjoy your reign of bloodshed while you can. But as Shakespeare once said, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown."
With that, he soon vanished as I welcomed the darkness of slumber...
I woke up with a start, my annoyance turning to anger after the dream that I had. "Need to kill," I growled lowly just as the sun came up. "But not yet. Not yet."
As the first bit of dawn began to appear, I snuggled back into my covers with a new plan in mind: begin my campaign of horror on the Blue Galaxy pack. I know who to start with first!
Sorry, runt, but I'm the Alpha who runs this show!
Pride always goes before a fall, ladies and gentlemen! Too bad Eric doesn't believe in that statement more than he believes in the man in the moon! But he's not kidding when he's planning his first attack on the Blue Galaxy pack, either! There's going to be a devastating loss that will rock the exiles and the pack members down to the core! It all begins in the next chapter, so don't move a muscle!
