Leo was born with enough tattoos to last a lifetime. Golden apples, a dragon, a palm tree, and so many more...

Esperanza Valdez knew he'd fall in love with some sort of immortal being. Just like his mama. But these tattoos didn't symboliza any god Hephaestus told her about.

The one tattoo that stood out to his mother was a large heart right over his. A broken heart.

This heart seemed magic. Every so often it would start beating, pulsing anf contracting in size. Leo loved it, he thought it was a toy.

His mother saw that Leo's love life would be strange, but maybe he could fix the broken heart.

She always knew he'd do something special, so this broken heart gave her a little bit of hope. One day he'd make someone love again, that's the best a mother can hope for.

As time went on Leo stopped getting tattoos, Esperanza began to worry, was her little mijo's love dead? Immortals couldn't die, she was almost sure of that.

Or were they just boring?

Boring wouldn't do for her wild son.

One day while the two were working in her shop together a new tattoo appeared on the back of his hand. A tiny little flower, it almost glew.

It was the last thing she ever saw on her precious son.
