2: Mystery Tattoo

Hey guys!! Thank you so much for reading! Make sure to comment what you think about this story so far!!

It was my sister, Adelaide. She was seven years old, 8 years my minor.

"Just go, Addie." I said to her. But her hand wouldn't move. I look over, and I saw my sister with a scared look on her face. "What's wrong?"

"You have to come with me." And so she took my hand and led me out of the cemetery. We went this way and that, through dark alleys and corners.

"Where are we going?" I asked, frustrated. Adelaide didn't answer, just kept on leading me through this town.

After a long five minutes of speed-walking, we finally reached our destination. A tall modern-looking office building stood in front of me, it's shadow making my skin turn cold. I felt the small hand of my sister separate from mine, and when I look over, she is gone. I walk into the building, not knowing my way back home. A tall man that was standing off the the side walked up to me, and said in a deep voice, "Malia Tremaine, we have been expecting you."

Why? What could they possibly want from me?

"Please follow me, miss." And so I did. It was an awkward ride up the elevator and walk to a big conference room at the end of the hall. "Your sister will be here to escort you home after this meeting is finished. Have a good day." I was so confused, but I stepped into the room regardless. I never should have.

"Hello, Malia." There was a dark shadow at the end of the conference table. As he stood up, I could see his face clearly in the dim light. He had a sharp face with sharp, mean features. "You must be wondering why your sister has dragged you here."

"Yes." I said, but it came out more like a question than a reply.

"It is actually about your Tattoo." I had a feeling he was going to say that. "It is rather odd, don't you think?" Yes, I did think so.

"No." I lied. I didn't want to be in any trouble.

"Don't you ever wonder why your Tattoo says 'champion'?" He asks me. Of course I did.

    "No." I said bluntly.

"Oh, come on, Malia. You don't have to lie, trust me. You aren't going to be in any trouble. I just want to give you a little warning, that's all." He said with a creepy smile on his face.

    "Warning about what?"

"I don't know if "champion" means a champion in a volleyball tournament," How did he know I played volleyball? "or if it means a champion of the world. So don't try anything that would get you in trouble. The Tattoos are what keep us sane. So please." Back to the creepy smile. What would I want to try? What did he mean? How did I even get here?

"Yes, sir." I started to walk out, and remembered something. "Oh, sir, I didn't catch your name?"

"You can call me Mr. Graff." And then I quickly walked out of the room, and there was my sister, right there in front of me.

"Come on. We are getting out of here right now."

Thanks for reading you guys!!!
