Chapter 2
"You don't have to help, I can handle it." I said to Sun as she bent over to pick up one of my boxes off the front lawn. I couldn't help but stare at her butt in those tight ass jeans she was wearing...I may be a bit of a nerd but I'm still a man.
"What else am I going to do? Sit around and twiddle my thumbs?" She said standing back up and turning to me, the box now in between us. Luckily, I averted my eyes before she noticed me checking her out.
"So you said you work from home...what do you do?" She asked walking past me to the brick steps that led to the house. I quickly grabbed up a random box and followed her, trying very hard not to watch the sway in her hips as she moved ahead of me.
"You'll think I'm a dork..." I admitted, knowing my cheeks had turned red at the admission.
"I kind of like dorks." She said winking one big brown eye behind her shoulder. I couldn't help it, I stumbled in my steps, like the dork I am.
"Um, I write graphic novels." I mumbled quietly, hoping she didn't hear me.
"Ooo! No freakin' way! That's hella awesome!" She smiled my way as she set the box down in my new room. She swung her long dark hair over her shoulder, revealing her sexy tattoos. I had thr urge to quickly wipe my chin to make sure I wasn't drooling...
"Wait, did you say awesome?" I asked confused as her words filtered through the fog in my brain. No woman has ever said that about my work.
She laughed sexily, flashing her...wait is that a tongue ring? "It is awsome! You must be a great artist to do that! Wait, are you sure you will have enough space to do that in here?"
"Honestly, I will have to downsize a little bit but it should be alright." I said looking around the room. The room was huge but after adding my bed, dressers, and all that I have little to no room left over for my drafting table and supplies.
"You know, I've got some space over in the shop if you wanna work over there. You'd have to deal with me and the noise but its not too bad." Sun offered walking back out to get another box.
"Shop?" I asked stumbling behind her yet again.
"You didn't see it on your way in?" She asked pausing at the front door.
I shook my head at her in confusion. Shop? What shop?
"Come on, I'll show you." Sun smiled at me brightly before grabbing my hand in her small one and pulling me out the front door. I had to hurry to keep up with her and her long legs...how in the hell does she walk so freakin fast with those sexy ass heels on?
Sun continued to pull me along behind her across the yard to the building next door. It was a small building but how I missed it I have no idea...it was painted a bright fire-engine red with black shutters on the two small windows that framed the glass shop-style door. Over the door was a sign saying 'Sunshine Ink' in dark gothic lettering.
"This is my baby..." Sun grinned back at me, still holding my hand, by the way.
Sun unlocked the door and walked in, her high heels echoing on the tile floor. I walked in behind her and took in the sight of the tattoo shop around me. It was one big room, the walls covered in different illustrations resembling...comic books?
"This here is my baby..." Sun smiled brightly as she ran her hands over a leather chair and pointed to a tattoo gun?
"You run a tattoo shop?" I asked, trying to keep the awe out of my voice.
"Yep." She said popping the 'p'. "As you can see I've got plenty of space in here if you wanna put your work stuff here..." She pointed to the other side of the room, empty except for a couple plush, red lounge chairs for people to wait in.
"How often are you here?" I asked still looking around the room, trying to take it all in.
"I'm open every day, except Sunday, from three to twelve but I can make you a key so you can come in any time you want to." Sun offered.
"Are you sure you won't be bothered with me here?"
"Not at all! As long you can handle some of the crazy people that walk in here." She chuckled.
"I'm in." I stopped to look at a particular part of the wall seeing a section of a comic strip that looked shockingly like Sun in a wonderwoman styled outfit. "Who did the walls?"
"I did." Sun said. I glanced back at her to see her blushing cutely. I couldn't keep the smile off my face at the sight. A hot woman that's into superheros?
"Really? These are awesome..." I said truthfully as I fingered the wall, looking at the detail.
"Thanks! So, you ready to finish putting your stuff in the house? I'm starving! Do you cook?" She asked quickly.
I looked down at my feet sheepishly before answering, "no, I can't cook."
"Good that gives me someone to cook for! Come on let's finish getting you moved in..." Sun grabbed my hand again, pulling me out of the shop and back over to her own yard.
~~~~~
"I think we are finally done." I collapsed into the comfortable deep red sofa my roommate had sitting in our living room.
"Thank the Lord for that." Sun sighed, collapsing next to me, her jean clad thigh brushing against my own.
"Amen." I mumbled resting my head against the back of the sofa, closing my tired eyes.
We sat in silence for several minutes, just relaxing. After several moments I opened my eyes, looking over to Sun. Her big brown doe eyes were focused on me, taking me off guard.
"W-What?" I stuttered, like the dork that I am.
"I'm glad you answered the ad I put out." She smiled, stunning me for a moment.
"Me too..." I said thinking about the fact that I met her, not the fact that she has a gorgeous house...
"So, its like what? Six o'clock? Do you have any plans for tonight?" Sun asked turning her beautiful eyes back my way.
"Originally I thought I'd be sitting in my hotel watching some horrible reruns on the t.v... I could probably do that here, I guess..." I mumbled thinking of all the things I could do to occupy myself while Sun went out for the night?
"Boring! Go change cause you are coming out with me! We still have to grab something to eat...since I never cooked anyway." Sun jumped from her spot on the couch.
I raised an eyebrow at the beauty in front of me. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing now?"
Sun looked me over, her eyes running from the top of my head to the brown loafers on my feet. I blushed, already knowing I looked like a complete dork. "Actually, eff it. Wear what you've got on, its not really gonna matter where we're goin'."
"I don't know..." I protested. Honestly, I've never even been out unless you wanna count a drink at Applebees...
"Oh don't be a prude! I'm going to change then we are so leaving!" I didn't get a chance to respond as she ran away to her bedroom.
"Shit!" I cursed to myself. Do I change or just sit and wait for her to come back so I can tell her I'm not going...
Who am I kidding, of course I'm going...how many more chances am I going to get to drink with a hot ass woman like Sun? None! I sighed, pulling myself up off the couch and wondered down the hallway to my room. I took a look around at all the boxes and tried to remember where I packed my clothes...
Finally finding the box I pulled out the only pair of jeans I owned and a white button up shirt. Quickly changing I looked in the mirror above my dresser shrugging, no matter what I do I'm going to look like a nerd...
A knock at the door had me hurrying to it. I swung the door open revealing Sun on the other side...oh my God....
Sun, dressed in jeans was an amazing sight but seeing her dressed like this was indescribable...her curvy body showcased perfectly by a tight purple mini dress? I don't know what they're called but on her, she looked...well jaw dropping.
"What? Do I look bad?" Sun hurried into the room, going straight to the mirror attached to the wall. I smiled slightly at her panicked expression knowing full and well she looked beautiful...not that I was going to say that to her though.
When she reached the mirror she took a full glance at herself before leaning over to inspect her plush, bright red lips. My eyes couldn't help but follow the curve of her hips down to her ass. Her round cheeks full and tightly pressed against the thin fabric...
When my arousal started to become physical I had to force my eyes and body away from her. I turned to my dresser pretending to look in the top drawer, searching through the junk. Come on get a grip...a girl like that and a guy like me? She'd never go for it.
"Jack. Are you ready?" Sun's sweet voice rang from across the room. I looked over my shoulder at her, she stood with her hand on her hip, and one elegant eyebrow raised. Was I ready for a vixen like her? Oh well, its not like this tattooed beauty could ever get into a comic-con nerd like me anyway...
