Many days after that night, Tatsu wakes from her apartment ready for the finals of the Chunin Exams. Tatsu got completely ready for the exam and stared out the window.

"So, today's the day," thought Tatsu, "Today's the day I become a Chunin. Then I will become a step closer to killing him."

"You can't kill him," said a voice.

"Who's there?" yelled Tatsu as she looked around the room and found no one.

"You can't kill him without me," said the voice again.

Suddenly she heard a knock on the door.

"Tatsu! We have to get moving!" said Kurenai.

"Ok," said Tatsu as she headed closer to the door, "I'm on my way."

Kurenai smiled as Tatsu opened the door, "You ready for this?"

"Born ready," said Tatsu locking up, "Lets go."

On their way to the Chunin Exam stadium Tatsu noticed many spectators entering the village.

"They've all come to see the new possible chunin," said Kurenai, "They are the people you will also be trying to impress so they can assign missions to you."

"Whatever," said Tatsu, "I don't care."

"Tatsu please tell me you are at least trying to become a chunin," said Kurenai, "Don't you care about the exams a little?"

"The only thing I care about is the opponent, Itami," said Tatsu.

"Itami, he's from the Sound Village isn't he? I've noticed that their attack styles involve Genjutsu. Are you sure you're ready for him?"

"It doesn't matter if the opponent uses Genjutsu, Taijutsu, or Ninjutsu. It will end the same way, with their face slammed into the ground. Anyway why did you come to my apartment to escort me? Where's Shino, Kiba, and Hinata?"

"Shino's father is getting Shino, Kiba went to get Hinata, and I just figured that I should come and get you."

As they arrived to the front of the Stadium, Tatsu splits up with Kurenai and joins the other candidates in the center of the arena. Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Itami, Neji, Shikamaru, and Shino were all there.

"Nice of you to show up Tatsu," said Shino.

"Where is everyone else?" asked Tatsu, "According to my count we're missing at least three people."

"Don't know," said Shino, "But it means less competition for us."

Suddenly they see Naruto flying into the stadium landing face first in front of Shikamaru.

"Ok make that two people missing now," thought Tatsu.

Shikamaru lifts Naruto up, but Naruto shortly recovers.

"Guys run!" screamed Naruto, "You won't believe this, but there's a huge herd of stampeding bulls coming this way."

"What?" said Shikamaru, "You're right I don't believe it."

"I'm serious there must be a million of them coming right..this..way.," said Naruto as he realized there was no bull.

"Ugh, such an idiot. He gives me the worst headache of all," thought Tatsu, "Still he managed to beat Kiba, that's no easy feat. If I have to end up fighting him, I'd better stay on my toes."

"Hey wait," says Naruto looking around, "Where's Sasuke?"

"I'm fighting Dosu," said Shikamaru, "But he's missing too."

"Hey, knock it off," said the proctor, however this proctor is different from the one during the preliminaries.

The guy has brown, shoulder-length hair which hangs about his face and brown eyes. He wears his forehead protector like a bandanna, and the standard jōnin outfit and has a senbon in his mouth.

"Quit your fidgeting you too," continued the proctor, "Stand up straight and present yourself proudly to the spectators. You guys are the heros of this final competition."

"Heros?" thought Tatsu as she looked towards Gaara, "If he's a hero then I'm a flying monkey."

"Welcome all," says the Hokage from the stands, "And our deepest thanks for coming here to the Village Hidden in the Leafs, for this years Chunin selection. We have come to the final competition with the ten candidates who have made it through the preliminaries. We ask that no one leaves until all the matches has been completed. Now everyone enjoy!"

"Ten?" thought Tatsu, "But there is supposed to be eleven of us. So that means someone dropped out, but why? Was it Sasuke or Dosu?"

"Oh, there's one more thing before we get started," said the proctor as he reaches into his jacket and pulls out the match-up sheet, "Look it over, there's been a slight change in the match-ups. But now it's set so everyone take one last look at who you will be facing."

Tatsu looked at the sheet, all of the matches were the same except Shikamaru's instead of fighting Dosu then Temari he went straight to fighting Temari.

"So it looks like Dosu was the one to drop out," thought Tatsu.

Then Naruto said, "Uh. Question. Question!"

"What is it?" asked the proctor.

"I was just wondering what'll happen to Sasuke, I mean if he doesn't show up?"

"If a candidate is not here in the arena at the time his name is called, he forfeits the match."

"Not that I care whether or not Sasuke makes it or not, but it seems odd. Sasuke isn't the kind of person to miss this. So why isn't he here?" Tatsu wondered to herself.

"Alright listen up," said the proctor, "The terrains different, but the rules are the same as before, that is there are no rules. The match continues until a candidate acknowledges defeat or dies. That being said I can determine when a match is over and step in and stop it at any time. And no arguments permitted. Understood?"

No one said a word meaning they understood the rules.

"These are the opponents for the first match, Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuga. Those two stay, the rest of you can go to the waiting area."

Tatsu left with Shino to a corner of the waiting area stands. Looking over the bar seeing Neji and Naruto about to go down.

Tatsu tightens her grip on the bar, "Why? Why does Naruto get to fight Neji? It should be me down there kicking his butt, getting revenge for hurting Hinata."

"Tatsu," says Shino.

"What?" Tatsu says with a little annoyance.

Shino points to a section in the stand, she looks and sees an ANBU Black Ops ninja.

"Don't know why they are here, but we should keep an eye out for danger," said Shino.

Tatsu nods and turns her attention toward the match. Naruto glares at the smiling Neji.

"Have you got anything to say to me?" asked Neji.

"I've got plenty to say to you, when you get up here," thought Tatsu.

"Only what I told you the last time," said Naruto.

Back in the Preliminaries when Hinata was badly wounded Neji had said, "Once a failure, always a failure. You can't change that."

Then Naruto had placed his hand over Hinata's blood and clenched it in his hand, "I vow to win!"

Back in the Finals, Neji laughs and gets into his battle stance.

"So much the better for me," said Neji, "I can't wait to see the look of despair on your face, when you learn that your foolish vow, is impossible to keep."

"We gonna stand here talking all day?" asked Naruto, "Lets get going! Show me what you got!"

With that the match began and man was this match interesting. It looked like it could go either way until Neji pulled out his 64 palm attack blocking all of Naruto's chakra points. Then suddenly Naruto emitted a huge amount of chakra allowing himself to beat Neji.

"Who would have thought it." said Tatsu, "First Kiba and now Neji."

"I agree," said Shino, "Naruto has indeed gotten stronger."

Since Sasuke still hadn't shown up yet, they moved on to the next match Kankuro vs Shino. Then Kankuro forfeit the match making Shino the victor. So the next match was against Itami and Tatsu.

They headed down to the arena and actually for once Tatsu was focused on another matter.

"Where is Sasuke? He should be here by now?"

"Worried about your boyfriend, Sasuke?" said Itami.

"My what!?" yelled Tatsu as she turned her attention back to Itami.

Itami has short black hair. His headband covered his eyes. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt with long black pants. Itami held his kunai pouches around both of his legs and on his back held two metal bars crossing each other.

"Then again, you probably wouldn't want him here anyway. You don't want to lose in front of your precious boyfriend," said Itami.

Enraged Tatsu quickly grabbed a kunai from her right leg pocket and threw it at Itami. Itami grabbed one of his metal bars to block, but the kunai had already scratched part of his cheek.

"It's only fair to warn you, that I'm not someone to be trifled with," said Tatsu glaring at Itami.

Itami lifted his hand to touch the scratch, then laughed, "So you really do care about him."

"Why you!" screamed Tatsu as she was about to dart for Itami, but the proctor stood in between them.

"Knock it off," said the proctor, "I haven't said start yet."

"You will give me a good show. Won't you?" said Itami, "I wouldn't want to get to the next round too easily."

"You want a show?" asked Tatsu, "I'll give you the greatest show of them all."

"Alright," said the proctor, "Let the match begin."

Itami comes racing forward with his metal bars in both hands. Tatsu grabs two kunais to defend herself. The impact of the bars and kunais made a piercing sound wave.

"UGH!" screamed Tatsu as the sound filled her ears making her drop her kunais.

"Hear that?" said Itami, "That's the sound of your defeat. These bars aren't just for show, when they come in contact with another object they release a sound from which I can control."

"Have to get away," Tatsu mumbles as she quickly backs away enough for the sound to stop.

"Where do you think your going?" said Itami moving forward again.

Tatsu blocks using her arms and upon impact the piercing sound filled her ears again.

"AHHHH!" screamed Tatsu, "The bars themselves don't hurt as much as the pain. If I get either destroy or take the bars away from him, that'll leave me with one last thing to worry about."

Tatsu immediately backs up and makes her hand signs for a special technique that she had been working on with Kiba and Kurenai. Itami chased after her, but it was too late.

"Fire Style: Fire Breath Jutsu!" screamed Tatsu as a powerful stream of fire is released from her mouth.

Itami, having no time to move away, uses his metal bars to block as the flame engulfs him. Tatsu breathes heavily as the flames died down. There was a long line of flame marks across the arena leading to the wall across from Tatsu.

"I hope that did something," thought Tatsu, "I have to use a lot of chakra for that move to work."

When the flame dispersed, Itami was shown with many scorch marks all over his body and his metal bars were red hot. Itami quickly released them as the two bars melted away. In Frustration Itami charged for Tatsu throwing shuriken as he approached. Tatsu was unable to move away quick enough and the shuriken hit her. Then Itami pulled out two kunais and slammed into her pushing the kunais into her upper arms. However when the kunais tried to pierce her skin the tips broke apart.

"What?!" said Itami.

Tatsu used this to her advantage and punched him in the face to move him away.

"What are you?" asked Itami picking himself off the ground.

"Who me? I'm no one special," said Tatsu as she walked closer to him, "I'm just a ninja, who can't afford to lose."

Tatsu grabbed Itami by the collar of his shirt and said, "This is the end of the road for you."

Before Tatsu could even make the finishing blow, Itami had fainted from fear. Tatsu had released him and he fell to the ground without moving an inch.

"Pathetic," said Tatsu.

"The winner is Tatsu," said the proctor.

"I did it," thought Tatsu then a wave of pain overcame her causing her to collapse to the floor, "Damn it! The effects of theMuteki Jinshin are kicking in."

Tatsu fell unconscious from the effects of the Muteki Jinshin and the depletion of chakra.
