"So why is your boyfriend trying to convince me to go to America? You did tell him that I hate traveling, right?" B/F asks, plopping onto the couch.
I had specifically left that piece of information out when I told Harrison yesterday.
"I told Harrison that I would go with him to America only if you went, knowing that you wouldn't," I tell her. I was fairly proud of the loophole I came up with.
"Wait, What? You have to go," She tells me. I look over at her.
"Why?"
She shifts on the couch so she can see me better. "You got upset that he was with that girl at the pub but that only happened because you weren't there. Now you have a chance go with him, to stop anything like that from happening, and you're not taking it?"
I curl up into a ball, absorbing her words. When she notices that she won't get a response, B/F continues.
"These girls are trying to take your man!" She says with more power, "Are you just going to let them take him from you?"
"No?" I say very unconfidently. This is what I meant by her being more bold than me.
"No, you're not. Now you're going on that trip and you are going to show him that you're NOT someone he can leave so easily!"
Somehow her tone of voice was actually motivating me. Maybe she's right. Maybe going is a good idea.
"He's not going on that trip without you. I'll make sure of it. I'm going." Determination tang throughout her voice:
I stare at her from my sitting position. A smile breaks out on my face. This could work.
"We're going to America?" I question, excited.
"We're going to America!" B/F confirmed.
