Chapter 36 - Good or Bad? Right or Wrong?

Sunday.

Khushi woke up early with an already bright smile on her face matching the bright sunny day, because she knew this Sunday is going to a special one as she will be spending time with her Boys.

She freshened up and thinking about Arnav, she decided to wear a red print kurti with white duppata.

The door of her room was being knocked, so she walked towards the door while adjusting her duppata on her shoulder.

"Are you ready?" Lavanya asked as soon as she opened the door.

Khushi nodded her head, "Yes. But why are you not ready?"

Lavanya pouted, "Come and help me please. I don't know what will I wear today."

"Relax girl.. Why are you getting so confused on what to wear today?" Khushi raised her one eyebrow as it's not Lavanya's habit to be confused on what to wear for an occasion. In fact, she's the one who helps Khushi with beauty and dressing tips.

"Guess what? ASR asked Aman to join us at the orphanage. Aman just messaged me that he's coming too with a smirk wala emoji," Lavanya pouted.

"These two are surely planning something," Khushi said suspiciously.

"What else? ASR is surely helping his friend to pacify me. Yesterday, he ignored me at the restaurant and I don't know with whom he was chatting. Now I'm ignoring him also, and he's regretting for what he did. That's why, ASR came up with this brilliant plan to make his friend patch up with me," Lavanya said.

Khushi chuckled softly, "But La if you're angry with Aman, why you want to get all well dressed for him? Why does it bother to you if he comes or not?"

Lavanya bit her tongue sheepishly, "Woh.. actually.. okay fine.. I can't lie to you anyway.. the thing is.."

"I know you like him Lavanya. But you want to be completely sure if he's the right one for you or not." Khushi completed for her smiling.

"Right.. God really gave me a sister who knows me so well in and out.." Lavanya giggled and hugged her tightly.

Khushi reciprocated the hug, caressing Lavanya's hair, "I know you very well La, but Aman doesn't. He might misunderstand your behavior towards him. Although me and Arnav already talked to him. But he's still unsure about your feelings for him. He's being patient till now with you, but I can't say anything about the future. It would be better if you open yourself to him and let him know what are your feelings for him, so that he knows whether he needs to keep working on this relationship or move on to another."

Lavanya nodded her head, "You're right."

Shantivan

At the kitchen..

"Rani Sahiba," with a soft and loving tone, Shyam walked to a busy making parathas - Anjali.

Anjali looked at him with serious look, "Aap!".

"Rani Sahiba won't you wish me good morning at least? Are you still angry with me?" Shyam asked.

"You know what Shyam ji. You've changed since the time we stepped in this house. And this change is disturbing me these days. Because you're not the man I fell in love with. Nowadays, you have such negative thoughts and you're so obsessed with this property, that leaves me missing my husband. Where's my sweet, loving, simple and good husband? I don't see him in you nowadays," Anjali said.

"Why are you talking like this with me Rani Sahiba? Weren't you the one who wanted to take revenge from Arnav? Weren't you the one who hates him the most for being the reason of your's mother ruined life? Weren't you the one who even refused to stay here because you didn't want to see his face everyday?" Shyam asked in disbelief.

"Yes but.."

"See. And now you're saying that I'm changed. You changed Rani Sahiba, not me. I'm still the same only." Shyam interrupted her, "I'm seriously upset with you.. You're making me feel guilty of something I've nothing to do with.. I never hated Arnav.. but because of you.. I started thinking wrong about him.. I always did what you wanted Rani Sahiba.. now you're making me look like a villain in Arnav's eyes. This is so wrong Rani Sahiba.. very wrong.. I didn't expect this from you." Shyam said with moist eyes and turned to leave from there leaving Anjali lost in her thoughts.

As soon as he left from the kitchen, Nana walked in and tapped Anjali's shoulder. She looked at him startled.

"Don't listen to him." Nana said.

"Huh?" Anjali looked at him confused.

"He's just trying to manipulate you my dear. He's trying to make you feel guilty and separate you from Arnav. He's getting insecure of your closeness with Arnav," Nana said.

"Do you think so?" Anjali asked in doubt, "Because he's really doing all this for me. He never had any interest in Arnav at all."

"Doing what for you? What revenge thing was Shyam talking about?" Nana asked suspiciously.

Anjali gulped, "No.. Nothing."

"Anjali don't support your husband in his wrongdoings. I know you both are planning something against Arnav from the start itself. But I thought you're good person and I can bring you to our side. Now, it seems you're really going to support your husband and stay silent as always," Nana said sternly.

Anjali nodded sideways with moist eyes, "It's not like that.. I don't want to do anything wrong.. I just wanted what I deserved.. and Shyam ji wanted to help me in getting the property.. Advay bhai didn't leave a penny for me.. I was angry and very upset that time.. I blamed Arnav for everything I lost in my life.. but after coming here, my opinion about Arnav changed completely.. I don't want to admit, I feel guilty to admit.. but the truth is that I started liking him as my own brother.. you know.. he's so cute angry boy.. that sometimes I feel like calling him my Chote.. and sometimes I feel like breaking a coconut on his head for being so irritating.. I don't know when my hatred for him disappeared.. I just never gave him a chance to come close to me in past.. and now that I did, I seriously regret for keeping him away from me for so long.. I want to stay like a family with you all now.. I want to enjoy this feeling.. but everyday Shyam ji's plans, Nani's hatred for Arnav and my own guilt stops me from opening myself and enjoying with Arnav. Even though I want to, but I feel I'm betraying my mother, my husband and my Nani. I don't want any property now.. I just want peace and and end to this battle going on between my heart and my mind everyday.. it puts me in such a dilemma, that I'm unable to be myself these days.. I'm always worried whether I'm doing right or wrong.. I'm just so confused."

"So you guys accepted to live here in Shantivan to snatch the property of Arnav and not for Aayu?" Nana asked.

Anjali nodded her head guiltily, "Nana please don't say this to anyone, especially Arnav. He will be heart broken to know I wanted revenge him by doing this."

"You wanted or you still want to Anjali? Because let's be frank, you need to choose one between your husband and your brother, to know what you want. If you choose Shyam, then you'll find yourself forced to act according to this plan, and if you choose Arnav, then you'll have to give up of this plan and revenge thing in your mind." Nana said seriously, "You need to clear the doubts in your mind and choose what you think is right for you. If you think Shyam is right, then be by his side and support him. I don't have any problem with that.. because I, Khushi, NK and Aman are here to protect Arnav and Aayu from the evils. If you think Arnav is right, then he will welcome you with open arms in his life. Because he never had anything against you, but your husband."

Anjali nodded her head again, "I need some time to think what to do further."

"Sure. You really need time to think. I know it's difficult to make a decision on this. On one side you've your husband whom you love and care the most in this world, and other side, you've your brother whom you recently started to like and enjoy his company. Then your family opinion on both are also divided, because I,  NK and Aayu support Arnav and your Nani supports Shyam, whereas the rest of family remains neutral towards both. I do understand what is to be in your place Anjali. And I do hope you take the right decision," Nana said and patted her head gently.

"Are you guys ready?" Arnav stood at the kitchen door frame with the help of his crutches.

"Yes.. I was just making aloo parathas and will pack them asap. Actually someone might feel hungry on the way so I thought.." Anjali said composing herself and hurriedly set to finish her work.

"Who eats aloo parathas on the way?" Arnav asked in teasing tone.

"Exactly. We could have bought pizza or burgers on the way to the orphanage!" Nana smiled joining Arnav.

Anjali glared at both, making them escape from the escape.

She giggled as soon as both left the kitchen, shaking her head.

"This is what Ma taught me, good people are those who have to power to make you laugh from your heart and bad people are those who fill negative thoughts in your mind. Arnav might appear to be an evil man, arrogant, rude, who doesn't open himself to anyone but he surely have the power to make me feel good, happy and secure whenever he's around. On the other way, Shyam ji who appears to be a sweet, honest and good man, brings out the evil side of mine," Anjali mumbled to herself.

At the living room..

Nana and Arnav were on the way to the living room. Nana was saying to Arnav that they need to talk once they come back from the orphanage about Anjali and Shyam, when Mami came to them with Aman.

"Hello hi bye bye. Arnav bitwa, your friend is here," Mami smiled pointing to Aman.

"Is everyone one ready or not? We need to leave urgently now. Here I'm so excited and your friend is so restless. He needs to pacify Karela's girlfriend's friend, matlab Lavanya!" Mami pouted looking around and no one was there yet.

"I know that. Both of you keep calm," Arnav smirked.

"Annav uncle," Arnav heard Aayu's scream and he looked up to see Aayu in NK's arms, both coming downstairs.

"Finally two are ready." Mami sighed in relief.

"How am I looking uncle?" Aayu asked, showing off his white shirt and blue jeans, then pointing to his gelled hair that is similar to Arnav's look and outfit smilingly, "Mini ASR, right?"

Arnav widened his eyes, "Aayu you applied gel in your hair?"

"NK uncle did it.." Aayu made an innocent face.

"Bhai he insisted that he wants to look like you.. Also it's just for one day.. let it be. He's a kid." NK smiled sheepishly.

(Arnav's look)

Arnav shook his head mumbling to himself, "Tomato gonna kill me for allowing this."

Nani, Mama, Akash and Payal also came downstairs.

"Hello hi bye bye.. finally!" Mami said excitedly, "Now only Anjali and Shyam are left to get ready."

Arnav rolled his eyes at the mention of Shyam's name.

"ASR I think we should get going to pick up the girls." Aman said.

Arnav nodded his head, "Yeah. Let's go."

"I'm also going with you uncle. I want to stay with Kushie." Aayu said struggling to get off NK's hold, hurriedly so that Arnav doesn't leave him behind.

NK put down on the floor, chuckling at his nephew. Aayu rushed to Arnav and Aman.

"I wasn't going to leave you behind also," Arnav chuckled at him, and gesture him to come with them.

Anjali rushed to them with tiffins on her hands, "Are you leaving already?"

"Will you miss me?" Arnav smirked.

Anjali rolled her eyes, "Of course not!"

"Then I'll get going.. Bye bye Di," he said with mischievous smile, stressing the last word to make sure it reach to her ears.

"Bye bye Chote!" she too smiled teasingly, stressing the last word to him.

Anjali glanced at them walking towards the door, she shouted in concern: Take care of your fractured leg!

Arnav turned back to her with a playful smile on his lips, "Just my fractured leg! Shouldn't I take care of my whole self as well?"

Anjali grinned, "Khushi is there to take care of your whole self!"

Arnav rolled his eyes, trying hard to look unaffected by her reply, but the truth was this time she caught the great ASR.

When the trio left the house, Shyam was passing by when Nani stopped him to ask whether he will join them or not.

"Nani of-"

"He won't come with us. He's actually very busy with his works, so Shyam ji won't be able to join us today," Anjali replied, faking a smile as she glanced once at Shyam, then at Nani.

Shyam looked at her stupefied, when did he actually denied going out with the family. He actually wanted to take advantage of this Sunday outing with family, to pacify her and make sure she remains by his side till he takes over AR. But by her behavior, he realized she's slipping out of his hands and that day isn't too far when he would be backstabbed by his own wife. Anjali wasn't a trustworthy person for him now and he needed to make sure at least Meera remains loyal to him now.

So agreeing to Anjali's words, he confirmed to Nani that he's indeed busy and would like to stay at home to complete his works. But a meeting with Meera was already scheduled in his mind for today.

Throwing one last suspicious glance at Anjali, he left from there lost in his thoughts.

Nana smirked watching the scene, thinking: Now I just need to talk with Arnav and let him know what's going on behind his back.
