CHAPTER 24

"Hello, you must be Taehyung" The lady said who stood up from her chair.

"Call me Shan, Jungkook has told me so much about you" She continued gesturing with her had for him to take a seat.

"Thank you" Taehyung uttered feeling a little nervous, he sat on the chair. His fingers between his thighs as they bounced up and down a little. "I understand you may be nervous, I want this session to be lead by you"

Who would of thought Taehyung would consider seeing a therapist, he had tried before but it was not for him. He got into a conversation with Jungkook about seeing someone and that is what Jungkook gave him his therapist card.

Taehyung was sat in the library by himself, he was currently in his study class which meant he had the whole Library to himself. Most of the time when students had study they left to grab food or ditched. He used his free class quite well, catching up of projects or finding articles for his assessments.

He let out a sigh and turned back to his book when he felt his phone vibrate, he placed the book down and reached for his bag- he unzipped it and pulled his phone out.

(2) UNREAD MESSAGES FROM JK

Taehyung let out a smile and clicked onto the messages

Jk: Hey Tae

Jk: Where are you? Jimin wanted to spend some time with Jun and I cant find you anywhere

Me: I am in the library,  top floor at the back.

Taehyung let out a little chuckle as the 'read' message popped up in small text under the actual text as soon as he had sent it. He was in one of his favourite places to sit in the library, far at the back on the top floor. Hidden from eye's, hidden from judgement.

As soon as he knew it he heard footsteps behind one of the bookshelves causing him to look up from his book, to see Jungkook appear from behind the shelves. He looked beautiful when he smiled, he did not smile often. Maybe not enough for Taehyung's liking.

"Hey Tae" was the first thing he heard from the males lips as he sat down next to him, backs against the bean bag. "It is so quiet here" Jungkook whispered looking down at the book Taehyung was reading.

"The passing play book?" Jungkook questioned after turning to look at the tittle.

"Whats the book about?" He asked so full of questions which made the smaller male next to him smile.

"Well its about a boy who transitioned from female to male and he loves playing soccer and had to transfer to a new school and he meets a guy called justice and they end up falling for each other and its such a beautiful story" Taehyung said with a bright smile on his face that Jungkook admired

"It sounds amazing, I wanna read it after you- it look's like you're nearly finished right?" Jungkook questioned pointing to the book that only had a few pages left.

"I know I dont want it to end" pouted Taehyung

"Maybe we could go to the bookstore and look for more?" Jungkook offered turning to look at him, "really?" he replied only to receive a nod.

"That would be cool" Taehyung smiled at the offer and put his book mark back into the page so he knew where to go back to.

He placed the book down next to him and turned slightly so his body was facing Jungkook. "How has your day been?" Jungkook asked "It was okay, How was yours?" replied Taehyung.

"It was good" Jungkook said, he always had an off feeling that Taehyung was constantly always lying to him when he asked the male how he was doing or how he was. "Hey, I wanna ask you something and dont get mad okay?" Jungkook said looking at him to see he was smiling.

"No I did not stalk you again" Taehyung replied

"Ah huh! so you admit that you stalked me!"  laughed Jungkook as he clutched his stomach at Taehyung's annoyed face.

"Like I was saying, I was talking to my therapist about you and she wanted me to give you her card- not that you have to see her but she wants to meet you, you dont have to open up about your feelings or you can."

"It's up to you, just text her and say your name and she will text you to details of the appointment" Jungkook explained. "I was actually gonna ask you that as well, I was gonna ask if you knew anyone I could talk to" Taehyung replied softly, avoiding eye contact.

"Hey" Jungkook whispered placing his finger under the male's chin, gently lifting it up.

"There is nothing wrong with asking for help, if anything it only makes you stronger" Jungkook whispered. He knew how Taehyung felt, he had been in the males place many times. When he started to open up to someone that was enough for him to get some of that tension off his shoulders.

All the sadness he felt, all the memories he had when he remembered the feeling of going to tournaments and his dad never being there while his other team-mates fathers were- cheering them along the sidelines.

"I am happy that you are gonna give it a go, I am proud of you Tae" Jungkook whispered looking at Taehyung who was looking back at him, it had been a long time since he heard anyone was proud of him. Those were the five words he had always craved to hear.

I am proud of you

The strongest words besides the words I love you.

"If I ask a question that you dont feel like answering you dont have to answer" She commented pulling out her note book.

"Tell me a little about yourself Taehyung" She asked grabbing her pen and clicking the top of it, ready to write. "W-well I am the only child, my father works and my mother does not"

"I recently moved schools"

"Do you move a lot?" She asked him

"Yeah quite a bit actually" Taehyung replied, thinking back to how he felt so comfortable in a school, everything starting to feel normal and then his mother wanted to move.

"What was the reasons for the moving?" She asked him taking her eye's off him to write a few things down. "My mother" replied Taehyung who's face was filled with emotion. Shan could tell Taehyung was trying to hide his feelings. Trying to put a front to where people assumed he was okay and would not pry and ask questions.

"Do you like the current school you are in?" She asked him, he sat their for a bit in thought.

Yeah he did like the school but also he did not, he liked his friends, he liked some of the teachers and the assessments but he did not like some people. The way things were run around here.

"Its a t-tricky question" Taehyung stuttered fiddling with his fingers.

"Why would you say its tricky?" She asked generally curious as she placed her paper and pen on the table.

"Back at my old school I was bullied, hurt for just being me. I am smaller than other boys, I got teased for it and I watched others get teased for looking smaller or similar size to the girls" Taehyung said

"I was picked on the most, bullied and hurt until I could not move"

"Your parents must of been mortified when they heard what happened" She replied

"My dad yes, my mother-" Taehyung said chuckling before he could continue

"She thought I was lying, she said I was asking for it by the clothes I wore, the way I talked or looked, she thought I was just wanted her attention"  Taehyung muttered

"When she said that, what did you feel?" She asked

"Broken, I have been mistreated my whole life. But if anything that d-day w-was the hardest thing I had to go through" stuttered Taehyung, he let out a breath trying his best not to cry.

"Was this the only time she has done that?" She asked

"No, I was nearly sexually assaulted and I was terrified- I felt scared and really needed my m-mum. When s-she found out she told me I was overreacting and that I just w-wanted attention" Taehyung gulped

"Has your mother even been as you would say a mother to you?" She asked

"Yeah for a very short period of time in my life, when I was younger but as time went on she changed, not slowly but fast" He replied.

"Does your dad ever stick up for you?" She questioned

"No, well sometimes- not as much as I feel like he should" He replied

She nodded "Do you ever feel scared to go home?" she asked him

Taehyung had never thought about that, was he scared to go home. He can stand up for himself, he does most of the time but it does not change the fact that it hurts. He does not like going home, he would rather be at Jungkook's. He dreads going home.

"Y-yeah I am" replied Taehyung

"How come your father does not stand up for you, have you thought about reasons why he may not?" She asked Taehyung who immediately looked at her

"He loves her, he is so in love with her that he cant see the damage she is doing to her own son" He replied

"Do you think your mother loves him?" She asked

"No, My dad earns a decent amount of money, my mother does not work- she is only cuddly and lovey with him when she wants something" Taehyung said

She hummed while writing thing's down.

"Do you still get bullied at this school?" She asked

"Yeah a little bit, not as bad but still" He replied

"Have you been able to make friends?" She asked

"Yeah Jungkook was my first friend than I became close with his friends" Taehyung replied

"What are they like?" She asked

"Well Yoongi is really funny"

"Namjoon is so smart"

"Jin is really caring"

"Jimin is caring also but one of my closest friends, someone I have grown quite attached to"

"and Jungkook" Taehyung said letting out a smile "He makes me feel safe, I trusted him faster than what I trust others. He makes me feel different compared to others" Taehyung explained staring off out the window

"Jungkook is your home?" She asked

"Yeah he is" Taehyung replied.

---

"It was a pleasure meeting you Taehyung" She said smiling as they both stood up

"Thank you for reaching out, it actually feels quite nice to vent to someone who you dont know heaps" Taehyung said giving the women a smile as she returned one.

"Is there anyone I could have another session with you?" Taehyung asked

"Of course you can, same place and time next week?" She asked

"Sounds perfect" He replied.

Once they went their own ways, Taehyung walked to the basketball court. He ignored all the whispers of the girls as he walked by. He went to sit on one of the bleachers and decided to sit on the third row. He looked to see the basketball team doing a few runs back and forward on the court.

His eyes followed Jungkook, as he kept his eyes towards the ground and jogged to one line of the court and then jogged to the other. Taehyung had watched Jungkook play a few games before and you could see the passion the male had for the sport.

He had a feeling Jungkook's mother might want him to be involved in her business but the other half of him thought she might want him to follow his passion. Taehyung watched as the coach got them to stand in a circle. He was not sure as to what he was saying but all he could see was the male's nod and go to the bleachers that were by the court to grab a drink.

It looked like they were having a break. He watched Jungkook drink some water from his drink bottle and place it back down by his bag. He let out a little chuckle as Jungkook looked around the bleachers and made eye contact with him before looking away. His head shot at him quite quickly and the brightest smile covered the males face.

Jungkook wiped the sweat off his neck and face with a towel and quickly jogged over to Taehyung, he stepped over the bleachers and sat right next to the male.

"How did it go?" Jungkook asked

"Really well" Taehyung replied looking at Jungkook who still had a smile on his face

"I am so glad to hear it went well, it was on my mind quite a lot today" Jungkook admitted

"What why?" Taehyung asked

"It worried me, I want you to be happy and I was worried it could make it worse- especially with the bad experiences you have had" Jungkook said

"Thanks to you it made me feel a lot better" Taehyung said looking at the still sweaty male who was still trying to catch his breath. He diverted his attention to the basketball players to see they were talking to the girls.

"Do you ever go with them?" Taehyung asked gesturing a hand towards the basketball boys. Jungkook looked at the direction he was pointing at and shrugged "I use to" He replied. "I stopped when they started to become obsessed".

"They haven't always been like this?" Taehyung questioned

"No, they all use to be quite nice when I first started here- Basketball try outs happened and a team got brought together. I was made captain and started to become quite popular with the others and now they just changed" Jungkook said still looking at his team mates talking to the girls

"Do you get mad at your team for talking to them?" Taehyung asked

"No, not at all- if anything its good cause most of the time the girls spread what time our games are and where and the more people that show up the better" Jungkook replied looking back at Taehyung who gave him a warm smile.

"When is your next game?" He asked

"Two weeks"

The shorter male nodded "Oh by the way every year I go on a little trip with my mother and brother and wanted to invite you" Jungkook said

"Wait really?" Taehyung asked a little surprised that Jungkook wanted to invite him "All the other guys are coming like Jimin and that so I thought it would be nice for you to come as well" Jungkook asked scratching the back of his neck.

"Yeah I would love too, when and where is it?" Taehyung asked

"It is in two weeks and the place is called Whitianga" Jungkook replied, he gave a small smile at Taehyung's confused face "Its a really beautiful place in New Zealand" Jungkook added.

"It sounds interesting" Taehyung said

"Yeah so we have the festival next week than the week after that we go out of Korea" Jungkook replied

"Are we going camping?" Taehyung asked

"We stay at a holiday bach, there is a pool there and a beach at the back yard- a decent amount of rooms" Jungkook said

"There are also people down by the beach who myself and the boys became really good friends with so we look forward to this trip cause we get to see them every year" Jungkook continued

"I cant wait" Taehyung replied to Jungkook who smiled.
