Preparing for day 3

RPOV
"Are you sure about this?" Dimitri asked as he handed over my tablets.
I groaned and took them. "Yes, Dimitri, I'm certain. I've survived the past two days. I can handle testifying today."
A compassionate look replaced his worried one. "You know the stress isn't good for you, either of you. I couldn't stand it if another thing hurt you because of her."
I took his hand in mine and tugged him to me for a kiss. "Nothing's going to happen. I'm almost showing."
A goofy, lovesick smile melted him. Aww. Sometimes I wonder if I should be jealous. "I know- and technically you already are."
"Are you calling me fat?" I mocked offence.
"Never. I'm calling you glowing, honey."
"Oh really? Prove it!"
Dimitri growled seductively, his lust plain as day. "Don't do that, Roza. Lissa won't be happy if I make you late."
I smirked. "You've made me nine months late."
"Rose," Dimitri groaned. "Not now."
"Then after?" I purred.
"If you aren't too tired. I plan on getting revenge for teasing me."

It was hard enough to resist her when her innuendo was innocent. But when she purposely teased me? It was torture. Especially given how hormonal she was now pregnant.

God. Abe and Janine were going to castrate me. Rose was nearly four months and we still hadn't told anyone other than Lissa, Christian, and the human doctor/ OB/GYN we were seeing. We had to tell everyone soon, but Rose was terrified of what her parents would do to me. She still hadn't forgiven them for taking me out 'hunting' without her and nearly shooting me. I didn't blame them, by that point we'd moved in together and gotten pregnant. Not that we'd known at the time. Well... at least, I hadn't known at the time. I suspect she'd just found out and hadn't told me because she knew I'd tell.

"I love you," she murmured and kissed me one last time before we stepped out of our Palace apartment. Yeah, we were that lucky, Lissa had ensured we had an apartment in the Palace. She used the excuse to keep us close to her and Christian's residence, but really, it was because she hated the idea of us in one of those shamefully small Guardian dorms. And everyone knew it.
