Fr/n was visiting meggys hotel room after taking a walk through the hotel.

"Sure is nice that Bob and Mario transferred the title so easily" he said kissing her cheek.

"Yeah they didn't want to test me. Though I actually feel more at home now than before... weird." she said muttering the last part. Fr/N caught a glimpse of the photo from before her departure with a non-possessed Axol.

"Hey, i don't wanna sound rude, but what does Axol mean to you guys?" he asked very carefully. Meggy was about to start a rant before she remembered when and where she met him. 

"Right, you weren't here yet... Hang on, let me call someone who can help." she said calling Lakitu. soon there was an email that popped up with videos containing what made Axol the best friend to have and why he meant so much to Melony.

"Well lets start back when anime was banned..." she said pulling up the video of the first encounter with Axol.

"Anime was banned?" Fr/N asked.

"Long story, it actually ended with me looking like i do today." she said acting like she might get hated on.

"Well, now you have my interest. and excuse my lack of focus if i don't seem to be paying attention, ill be looking for you." he admitted rubbing his neck.

"I am pretty sure i'm not in this video. i could be wrong though" she said blushing hard.

"only one way to find out." he said as he started the video.

After a while the camera pans down to a ginger inkling. Fr/N pauses the video and watches the reaction of meggy as shes covering her face and looking at him scared.

"Thats you?" he asked and she nodded.

"YOU WERE SO CUTE!" he said scooping her into his arms causing her to yelp in surprise.

"You don't care?"she asked confused.

"Meggy, i love you for the being you feel like you are, not the person everyone sees you as." he said. she teared up and hugged him.

"Thank you." she said. he gently stroked her head.

"anything for you." he said and waited a few moments before asking if she wanted to continue.

"We probably should. more for your sake rather than nostalgia." she said.

"Hey nostalgia is a valid reason as well." he said hitting play again. once the episode ended Fr/N as a bit anxious.

"That Francis guy, is he still around?" he asked super carefully knowing that that could be a sore spot.

"No, hes not and id rather not talk about it ok?" she said her voice dripping with malice and venom.

"Wasn't gonna, just double checking." he said kissing her cheek again to which her anger did lessen before watching the next video about Mario and the mask.

"OH! Y/N was here by this point!" Meggy said as Fr/N was shocked. 

"How long ago was this?" he asked.

"About a year at this point..." she said a bit unsure.

"About a year? when i showed up it had been only a few days at least?!" he asked so confused. "But that's probably accurate, this world does seem to flow at a faster rate than home, no offense." he said mumbling

"None taken, trust me the island was slower than here i can tell you that, but i guess you noticed that too." she said with a wink.

"Heh heh yeah. so was Y/N involved with this?" he asked gesturing to the screen.

"No, we had just had a Halloween party gone wrong and he had some major bruising that had him bedridden. but hes in the castle at the time." she said. Fr/N nodded and continued the video and he learned two things, one was how loyal and just how good of a friend Axol was and the other was that he had his first love as a transformed watermelon girl.

"And he sacrificed himself so that his friends and loved ones could live on." he said somberly.

"Yeah, i wish we had a chance to thank him." she said looking down a bit.

"You might if you can convince Y/N to." he said looking at her. "Hes been mumbling about the morality of making a clone of Axol but wants everyone to be on board with it first." this made meggy look up.

"We should let Melony know." Meggy said before yawning.

"Tomorrow Meggy." he said he said leaning down to kiss her cheek but she turned and made it a full on kiss. both pulled away blushing.

"Why is that still so awkward?" they asked before heading off to bed chuckling at the fact they said that at the same time.
