Fr/N had come with Meggy to grab paint with her to repaint their rooms at their place in the castle but she never said where they were but to follow her when they get there but when they got to the castle Fr/N got distracted by the ceiling of the castle again and didn't notice where she went.

"oh this cant end well... its far too quiet here." he muttered to himself as he looked around the first level to be startled by Mario bursting in from the second story.

"HEY LUIGI! Its that time of day where Mario causes problems for everyone!" Mario announced through a megaphone making Fr/N yelp at the volume.

When Mario didn't initially see him he noticed a TV couch and table that wasn't there when Fr/N had been looking a few seconds prior.

"Oh hey who are you?" the portly plumber said heading down the stairs.

"Fr/N we haven't properly talked to each other." he said waving.

"Uh huh..." Mario said drawing a blank.

"Right, Meggy's boyfriend?" Fr/N said feeling a bit weird using that term after all the other nicknames they have for each other.

"OH! You! look Mario is a bit preoccupied looking for Luigi to threaten you properly so just know that Mario will hurt you if you hurt her." he said before calling out for a few of the others in the group before Fr/N noticed that his initial thoughts were on the nose.

"Whats this?" Mario muttered as he put in a blank labeled VCR into the player. Fr/N turned to watch as the disclaimer popped up.

"WARNING The following program contains cool material that might be too cool for younger viewers. Parental discretion is advised? Ok, that is not any disclaimer I've ever seen or heard." Fr/N said for Mario to shrug his shoulders and continued to watch the tape.

As the video was going Fr/N noticed something out of the corner of his eye at about the second rule. he was going to turn to see what it was when the tape finished and Mario relaxed to watch some TV after calling the tape a 21st century meme that SMG4 liked. when he couldn't find the remote both he and Fr/N looked at the TV and a figure just off to the left. Fr/N went to reach for the remote when reality hit him and jumped behind the couch beside Mario.

"Is this a prank? WHO ARE YOU?!" Mario demanded as both of them looked over the couch at the figure. when the figure lifted its arm Mario noped right out of there after throwing the couch causing Fr/N to scramble to catch up with the oddly speedy portly plumber. they both come to a complete stand still looking at the stairs descending down to the basement.

Fr/N groaned but took the stairs as fast as he could before hearing falling plumber noises and getting bowled over by Mario on the way down and into the foyer into the basement and ended up landing at the feet of the figure. Both look up at the figure.

"Oh, you're doing the thing wherever Mario goes you're gonna be there." Mario said as Fr/N pushed himself away from the reach of the monster as the monster grabbed Mario and held him up. Fr/N in a quick thinking move decided to use sneezing powder on Mario who smiled and sneezed messily on the monster who dropped him in disgust. taking the moment of freedom both boys rush down the green tunnel like corridors of the basement. Mario tried to throw a toad at the figure but it had no effect. along the way they pass meggy who looks at them in confusion before following them for a bit noticing the figure who ignores her.

Mario and Fr/N barricade the door to the entrance of Hazy Maze Cave and catch their breaths a bit before noticing another VCR tape on the ground before them. Fr/n gulps knowing that it was a bad idea but balks at the sight of a portable VCR and LCD screen that mario carried with him.

"When and where did you get that?" Fr/N asked in confused shock.

"I cant remember." he said before putting the tape in.

The disclaimer now read " WARNING The following program contains material that is not safe for life. Viewer discretion is advised."

"No shit." Fr/N muttered grabbing the apple that was thrown at his head. "Not the time nor the place." he said.

The video showed [cool VHSs Ad no. 6118] and it was dated and then corrupted.

"what the-" was all the two could utter before there was pounding at the door making them flinch and look at the door.

"Hey Mario, Fr/N can you open up?" was asked through the door and Mario told the voice to piss off.

"My name is Phillip and i just want to talk to you two." it said before beating on the door and Mario doing a don't touch me dance.

"Come on Fr/N i just want to have a little chat." Phillip said.

"sorry i do not speak English okay." Fr/N said in a passable Indian accent before Phillip decided to start banging on the door again then stopping confusing the two inside before Phillip broke through the door and roared at them. Mario was scared out of his mind while Fr/N got into a fighting stance before Phillip was unceremoniously kicked into the entrance to Hazy maze cave. when they looked at the door there stood meggy.

"Babe!" Fr/N shouted and hugged her. "Sorry i didn't follow you like you asked." she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Its alright, though are you two alright? i saw that weirdo following you." she asked the both of them.

"NO! Hes trying to touch Mario's no no square." Mario said. Fr/N went to say something but Meggy checking over Mario's shoulder asked what the guy wanted.

"I don't know he just started to attack us without as much as a tape explaining what the heck he wanted." Fr/N said looking the same way as the lights flickered. all three looked up at the ceiling before looking over at the sound of Phillips laughter as it stood next to the breaker panel to then slam its fist into it knocking out the lights.

"NO! DARKNESS BAD! DARKNESS BAD!" Mario screamed in terror.

"Relax Red." Meggy said puling out a flashlight giving them some light in the darkness.

"That's my girl." Fr/N said pulling out his giving them a bit more light when he noticed that Phillip was gone. "Oh that cant be good." he muttered as the others looked over as well.

"Hes... gone..." meggy said a bit freaked out.

"CAN WE GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS HAUNTED ASS CASTLE?!" Mario begged.

"yeah that's probably for the best." meggy said chuckling nervously.

as they tried to find the way back to the basement foyer Mario asked what she and Fr/N were doing here.

"oh we were trying to repaint some rooms and i remembered there were some paints here so-" she said before getting cut off by a noise that freaked out Mario. to find out that toadsworth really liked to [REDACTED].

after that Mario was scared by a cassette tape of the Fitness Gram Pacer Test which meggy smacked him for before noting that the painting for Lethal Lava Land had been replaced with a new painting of the face of Phillip and "Found You" making him panic like crazy.

"Calm down Mario its just a picture..." meggy started before noticing what it said.

"But its spooky." Mario rebutted.

"Found you? what has he found?" meggy wondered aloud.

"Guys, I found something... that isn't Phillip." Fr/N said as the two headed over Mario noticed what it was.

"LUIGI!" he said rushing over to the cap of his brother. he held it only to feel something inside.

another VHS tape.

He set down his portable tape player and put the tape in.

the three watched as the disclaimer this time said "WARNING die." before playing security footage of a corner of the basement.

at 12 am there was nothing of note

at 2 am SMG4 was chasing a bowling pin with a bowling ball.

"I don't even want to ask what that's about." Fr/N said.

at 3 am Mario was doing the club penguin dance.

"Hehe... whoops sorry" Mario said embarrassed.

at 4 am Luigi was holding something and looking a bit panicked before running off.

"Wait what was that Luigi was holding?" Meggy asked but didn't get an answer.

at 4 am Phillip stood in the hall

at 4 am Phillips face took up the entire screen startling the three.

when the video ended Meggy asked "Was that Luigi?"

"Yes! and that Phillip guy has him!" Mario said. though Fr/N was about to interject when Phillip started to Laugh around them.

Phillip showed up behind Meggy and Mario ducked behind her as the three of them faced the entity that plagued them.

"Hello again my little-" was all Phillip could say before Meggy started to wail on Phillip for answers.

"wh-what?" Phillip asked before being tossed into a wall and landing at Fr/N and Mario's feet where both had one thing to say to the entity.

"YOU DONE FUCKED UP NOW!"

"We've fought literal gods, you think you intimidate us?" meggy asked a slightly crazed look in her eyes.

"Now... wheres Luigi?" mario asked right next to the now terrified Phillip.

"You- you guys are crazy!" it yelled before running away and Fr/N and Meggy gave chase.

Mario then pulled out a VHS Camcorder and chuckled as he said, "Now its Mario's time to make a spooky horror tape."

and to his credit it was very akin to a suspense horror. from the basement to the main foyer to the painting of Bob-omb battlefield to the second story where Phillip sat scared and afraid. the camera zoomed out to see meggy and Fr/N assert their dominance coming out of a copy of Whomps fortress before Phillip saw them and screamed before getting pummeled.

"Yeah! get him you two!" Mario said from behind the camera.

"WHERE IS OUR FRIEND?!" meggy asked between swings.

"OK stop stop stop! PLEASE!" Phillip begged. "Here look at this." he offered up another tape.

confused the three of them took it and played it to see a call log of luigi calling Cool VHSs about a Phillips CD-i not working properly. as the person on the line gave tech support the last thing that was asked was to check behind him and that's when Luigi screamed and the call ended.

"It sounds like he was attacked." Meggy said shocked.

"That you on the line Phillip?" Fr/N asked.

"Yes, and that was cursed Phillips CD-i that he purchased by accident." he admitted shocking Mario before the whole building shook.

"That came from the courtyard!" meggy said as the four rushed down to the courtyard as fast as they could. Phillip tied up by meggy due to lack of trust. they bust down the door and stop short at the sight they saw before them.

"Why the hell is it so dark out? wasn't it noon when we got here?" Fr/N asked.

"LUIGI!?" Mario asked looking at Luigi staring blankly at a screen before turning around holding the CD-i close to his chest.

"LUIGI!" Mario cried out.

"Hey guys" Luigi said sounding a bit off. "Would you like to play with me?" he finished sounding even more off.

"My Phillips CD-i!" Phillip shouted

"Luigi, its us your friends! Can you hear us?" Meggy asked seeing how bad that this was.

"Come back to us!" Mario yelled.

"No. No I dont think i will." Luigi said head flailing about

"GIVE THAT BACK!" Phillip shouted lunging at the taller Italian who began to transform into a mechanical monster.

"SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP!" Mario and Fr/N shouted in sync. Luigi then roared flinging Phillip away as Meggy rushed up to fight the titanic monstrosity that looked like her friend and missed. though when it tried to attack her with VCRs it missed as well.

Mario tried in his own way to scare Luigi, to no avail, seriously why did he think a Will Smith mask was gonna work?

Fr/N was trying to get to meggy while dodging VCRs thown at him when meggy went to attack again but got caught and was almost pulled in if it werent for Fr/N grabbing her telepathically and Mario shoving the 1993 Super Mario Bros. Movie in his mouth showing the horrors of the goombas of that movie.

While the beast was incapacitated Phillip pulled out the cursed hardware that was the CD-i and the beast exploded sending meggy flying into the sky. Fr/N managed to catch her and she kissed him out of her adrenaline rush.

after making sure Luigi was alright and that things were back to normal the four of them played CD-i games until Toadsworth came back and threatened them about telling others about [REDACTED] 

"and that was yesterday, how was it with you and Tari?" he asked you.

"a lot more quiet than that, in the good way." you respond as Tari has long since passed out and didn't move from her spot on the floor due to fear. you rush over to help her as Fr/N looked apologetic.

"Probably should've made that a two parter."
