goodmorning and goodnight
i'll be falling asleep right after I publish this
its a long chapter, good luck
I tried my best to write this part
Kasia
They gathered us and put us in the car. The woman...Giana, Silver's diabolical mother, kept smiling and talking to us as if we were friends, and she took Zaire away from me. She liked him so much because they had the same eyes, but I was disgusted. I was so disgusted by her, but I said nothing. She had my life in her arms; I would not risk my child's life by insulting the woman who let her sons experience the worst shit of their lives and her daughter worse.
There was a little boy in the car as well, but he didn't look at us, didn't speak to us; all he did was play with a dirty teddy bear. He didn't say a word, wasn't even curious. The poor little boy.
I hated her with everything I had in me, but everyone stayed quiet. I guess the look on my face translated to everyone. There are children and a baby in this evil woman's arms; she doesn't care for her biological children. How much more children that aren't hers?
She has that psychotic smile etched on her face like someone carved it there. It was creepy. She was so delusional, living in her own delusions, and it was so scary. She's a visual definition of how low a human can be manipulated.
"How old is she?" Giana asked, caressing Mahi's face.
Navi cleared her throat, looking around nervously. "He's a boy, and he's five."
"Mommy," Mahi cried, looking fearfully at Giana.
"It's ok, bachcha." Navi whispered softly. (Baby) "She won't hurt you,"
Giana smiled widely. "Yes, I won't. I'm your grandma." She giggled happily. Mahi nodded slowly, and Giana turned to Navi. "Which one of my sons are you married to?" She asked.
Navi bit her lip. "Rune," she whispered.
Giana's face lit up. "Oh my, two children and one on the way. I'm so proud of him. Your children are so beautiful." She looked at Analia. "And I know you're Silver's child. You look so much like him."
I squeezed Analia's hand to let her know to stay still when Giana caressed her hair. "Yeah, Silver's my dad," Analia said.
"But who's your mother?" Giana asked.
Analia's jaw clenched. I could tell she didn't want to play family with Giana, but for the sake of our lives, she continued. "I don't know where she is, Kasia is my stepmother."
Giana nodded, looking at Zaire in her arms. "So this baby is also Silver's?"
I nodded.
Giana beamed. "That's so lovely. What about you two ladies?" She turned to Yana and Latara.
"Um, she's Aeros's girlfriend." I quickly responded when Latara didn't answer right away.
Yana shook her head gently. "I'm just a friend."
"I thought Othello was married to Kasia?" Giana asked.
Latara scoffed. "He's gay," she deadpanned. "He's engaged to a man."
Giana gasped but quickly brushed it away. "Well, it doesn't matter anymore."
We all looked at each other with furrowed brows. "What does that mean?" Navi asked.
Giana laughed. "Don't worry about it!" She waved us off. "What about Dashiel? Does he have a woman or man in his life?"
We all turned to Yana.
"He hasn't confessed his feelings for her and she's oblivious to them." I whispered as Yana blushed furiously.
Giana finally handed Zaire back to me. "Oh how wonderful!" She turned to the quiet little boy. "This is Rutherford, Xolani's son. We call him Ruth." She shook her head and sighed dejectedly. "This little boy won't speak to anyone who isn't his mother and his father. You'll meet his father where we're going."
I frowned; so this was Xolani's son. True to Giana's word, he didn't speak to any of us. He had visible freckles, brown hair, and big blue eyes. He is such a cute little boy.
Giana sighed again. "If only Xolani didn't leave." She frowned like she felt guilty. "Vittorio's blood seeps deadly into my children. If only I had them with a Loyal Servant of the Lord, they wouldn't be like this."
Latara gaped at her like she was stupid, yet said nothing.
The rest of us shook our heads. She was in deep. It was almost funny how much delusion flowed from her lips.
"It's ok," she smiled. "All of you will be cleansed and join us in Austria with the rest of the family where we'll live together in the Hands of the Lord."
I buried my head in my hand to control my laughter as Latara accidentally snorted. I can't believe a human can think like this.

We arrived at Kyle's house. Where Silver and his brothers were supposed to be. Our eyes lit up. Maybe they are alive. Maybe something went wrong. Maybe they aren't in a pool of their own blood.
The men pushed us toward the house as Giana kept rambling on and on about Zaire and his eyes and even took him away from me again as the men kept pushing us on, opening the door and dragging us in.
When we got into the house, over the ledge that blocked half of our view of the living room, we saw about fifty-sixty men and women holding up guns at the five–no, four. Where's Kyle?
Yana gasped. "What did you do?" She covered her mouth. When I made it to the living room, I finally saw what Yana was seeing.
"Oh my god," I felt the tears in my eyes. If only I could get to him, I could save him. Kyle's still breathing.
"He's still alive," Rune told us calmly.
"What happened to your shoulder?" Navi asked. "I thought this wasn't going to be as dangerous." She held her children closer to her.
I frowned at Silver as he scowled at Zaire in his mother's arms.
Rune looked away as the man in the front line laughed. "Hello, ladies," he smirked. "My name is Father Bertrand. Welcome to the Hands of God–"
Latara burst out laughing. "Do you expect us to believe your bullshit?"
Aeros shook his head. "Latara–"
"No," she cut him off. "You didn't tell me about a fucking cult. You didn't tell me you had a psychotic mother or any of this bullshit. Having to sit in a damn car and play family so she wouldn't go berserk and–" She gasped as another woman slapped her face, we all did, but it didn't make Latara calm at all.
She would've started a fight if it wasn't for another man holding her back. "Who the fuck are–" she cut herself off and took a deep breath glaring at Aeros. "Fix this." That's all she said before she calmly sat down.
"C–can I get my child back, please?" I whispered cautiously.
Giana's frown turned into a smile, and she looked at Zaire. "He's such a beautiful baby," I nodded. "I always wanted one of my sons to have my eyes,"
Silver scoffed. "Give her the fucking baby. Don't fucking touch my kids."
Analia had been hiding behind me the whole time, watching Giana's moves with Zaire when she finally gave him back to me and sighed. "I just want to rekindle our family again."
"Not going to happen." Dashiel spoke up.
The men were all surprisingly calm. They weren't panicking like we were. I mean, Kyle was in a pool of his blood. It was only a matter of time before he lost too much blood to live.
Father Bertrand started up again. "You," he pointed to Latara. "You'll be cleansed first."
Aeros said nothing as Father Bertrand pulled Latara by her hair. "No!" Yana tried to get up, but another man pushed her back down. Navi closed her children's eyes, and Analia hugged me tightly, burying her face in my side.
"Leave me alone!"
I looked at Silver. "Why aren't you doing anything?" I almost begged, but he kept a stoic face. Navi scoffed as Silver straight-up ignored me, and her husband was doing the same thing.
"My dear," Father Bertrand suddenly was in front of me. "They know exactly what I'm going to do to you all." His smile was sick. "You see, we failed to...capture them and we were going to leave them alone. But, ten years ago, Azriel killed my son Ronan, an established leader of the Irish mafia. It was Rune's last mission before leaving the mafia and Aeros and Dashiel had a hand to. Next, I'm going to go after Dimitri's family and Kazan's as well."
"Are you sure?" Silver asked.
Father Bertrand opened his mouth, but before he could get a word out, the lights shut out. "Get down!" Rune shouted.
I fell onto my knees with Analia, hearing the others fall onto the ground as gunshots rang and the sounds of bodies thudding. Someone touched me, and I gasped. "Get off!"
"It's me!" Latara whispered, yelping as someone fell over us. "Kyle," she whispered. "Go to him,"
I nodded, my hand wandering until I touched Analia's face. "Take Zaire and stay with Navi and her kids, huddle together."
I felt her nod into my hand and grabbed Zaire. I grabbed Latara's shirt and crawled, following her until she took my hands and placed them on Kyle's. "Yana's going to help you," Latara said.
I grunted as someone tripped over me and stepped on my foot. Chaos surrounded us, but we were focused on Kyle's life, ignoring the people falling on top and around us. "Ok,"
"I will hold him down."
Kyle couldn't even speak; his little groans and moans and Yana's soft cries were all that were audible. Silent, I trailed my hand down his body until I felt the wound; I put my finger in the hole of his shirt and ripped it open wider before sighing. This was so dangerous I hadn't washed my hands. I hadn't cleaned Kyle. He could die from an infection.
But I had to try.
"I'm so sorry, Kyle, this is going to hurt." I pushed my finger inside the wound, eliciting screams from Kyle that only made our environment more chaotic than it already was. Latara held him down as Yana soothed him.
I moved my fingers around until I found the bullet. I pulled it out, gasping a bit when Kyle managed to throw me off for a second, but we all held him down.
I pulled out the bullet as Kyle cried. "Yana, I need something to wipe the blood and bandage him. I ripped off some of my shirts and wiped some blood, Latara handed me more pieces of fabric from both of them, and I managed to tie Kyle up tightly. He isn't stitched, and it won't stay for long, but it will keep him alive for a while.
We all sighed in relief until Latara screamed again. "Get the fuck away from me!" She screamed. I felt her hands leaving Kyle's body. Someone took her, but before I could try to pull her away, someone grabbed both Yana and me.
"Get off me!" I thrashed, but whoever held me in their grip was fucking strong.
Then the lights came back on, and we saw the carnage. Because the lights had turned off and it was completely dark outside, there was confusion; the cult members had been accidentally killing each other. Silver had a knife in his hand dripping with blood; it looked like Rune had taken a cult member's rifle; Dashiel had his own gun, and so did Aeros.
Father Bertrand held Latara, and two random men held Yana and I. Navi and the children were still safe on the ground, Analia kicking a dead body away from them. Giana was in a far corner, her body shielded by a dead man as she quivered underneath him.
Silver exhaled. "Let them go."
Father Bertrand kept a firm hold on a thrashing Latara. "How?" He gritted.
Silver chuckled. "I knew someone had to be helping you." Silver stated. "We're a mafia, cults like you aren't fucking serious. Not even a threat, but you were. I didn't know you were the Irish mafia, but I did think you had some help from those desperate fuckers." He took a ring off his finger and threw it on the ground. "It had a button, when I pressed it, Dimitri had his best man come in to distract you."
Rune smirked. "He sends his best regards, he couldn't be here, he had his daughter's dance recital to attend."
"You had us confused, angry, but we always had a back-up." Aeros said, his usual playful demeanor gone. "So, only you, her, and two cult members remain. Dashiel?"
Dashiel cocked his gun with a proud smirk on his face.
Father Bertrand laughed, putting a knife to Latara's throat. "If you shoot, in my last moments I will take her with me."
"Wait," Aeros grabbed Dashiel's extended arm. "Not yet,"
"Good," Father Bertrand had a smug look on his face. "Now–" His eyes rolled to the back of his head, and his body fell to the ground as Navi smashed a rifle into his head. I took that opportunity to pull my head back against my captor's face as hard as I could, he let me go, and I ducked down as I heard two shots going off.
"Oh my god," Navi gasped, throwing the gun immediately.
I panted, still on the ground. I just went through the toughest shit of my life. It was silent for a while. I didn't know whether to jump up and hug Silver for saving us or slap the shit out of him for fucking scaring me into thinking he was backed up and had nothing. That we were all going to be brainwashed into Giana's delusions.
"I fucking hate you," Latara cried as Aeros hugged her tightly.
"I know," he whispered back.
Navi shook her head and rubbed her stomach as Rune smiled sheepishly at her head. "You're sleeping on the damn couch." She cried, inspecting his shoulder as their children hugged his legs.
Rune sighed, facepalming. "I figured,"
Yana smiled at a blushing Dashiel. "Thank you," she said.
"It's nothing," he quickly said. This time, Yana knew, and she smiled tiredly.
And Silver's bitch ass was beside me, waiting for me to initiate conversation. Analia crawled over to me, Zaire in one arm and the other she used to crawl. She looked over at me to make sure I was alive. "Oh good, I thought you passed out or died," she hiccuped.
I smiled softly, hugging her and Zaire both. "We all made it,"
"Kasia?"
I side-eyed him. "What?"
Silver opened his arms. "I wanna hug too."
I scoffed, trying not to break into tears. "You scared me," I shoved him.
"I'm sorry," he said, embracing me as I sobbed.
"I was so scared she was going to hurt Zaire," I cried. "She kept taking him away and I had to pretend so she wouldn't get mad and–"
"I know Kasia, and I'm sorry." He kissed my forehead. "This is never going to happen again, I promise."
I sniffled, nodding. "Go check on your kids," I said after a while, and he moved on. I picked myself up and walked over to Kyle, who had passed out from the pain. I checked his heartbeat, and it was still going strong.
"We have to call an ambulance." Yana said, looking for a phone, but Dashiel stopped her.
"We have to get out of here, first." Dashiel gestured to the bodies.
Yana nodded in agreement. "You're right,"
"We're going to take her with us," Silver pointed to his mother. She yelped as Silver, without a care, yanked her by her hair.
"Why are you doing this?" She asked Silver.
He chuckled coldly as we all watched; he pulled her hair tighter. "You remember I said those exact same words, when you were fucking my life over."
Giana's eyes widened before she went quiet, silently crying.
Silver nodded to his brothers. "Let's move Othello and get him to a fucking hospital," he said with so much anger before dragging Giana out with him like a dog.
No words were shared as Rune called someone to do a clean-up, and we all went out; it felt like we hadn't been outside in ages. Even though it was night, I exhaled and basked in the air.
I can't believe I went through that.
And survived.
Yana took Kyle to the hospital, and Latara, begrudgingly, went with Aeros. Thus, I took my baby and Analia and went home to shower and hope to sleep. I'm so fucking tired and so grateful Zaire knew when to not cry.
This is my life, Kasia Carty, a black woman, at twenty-three, almost twenty-four, with an Italian mafia boss, let's not forget he runs this shit, that is twelve years older than me.
You know, now that I realize it; I was thirteen when he was impregnating Natalia. That is so weird. Oh my god.
I hope you enjoyed this part
ik it's long.
I'll see you guys tmmr on my birthday!!!!!!!!!!
ok goodnight.
