Kasia
I have a concussion. I am living and have been living with a criminal. I have been fucking around with hardcore criminals.
Where to begin?
I'm just a doctor. A young, smart, broken doctor who just wants to be loved because I was deprived of it when I was younger. Not so hard, right?
Instead, I am now a pawn and a liability to a mafia–the Italian mafia. I now need fucking protection because a whole mafia boss went after me. My stupid ass was thinking he was either a cop or some low criminal–he's literally in control of the low criminals.
My mind was spinning as I stared at the hospital walls, silent. Kyle was there pacing, and I knew he wasn't going to say anything until I did. "Kyle," I rasped. "I know you fucking lying."
Kyle frowned. "I'm sorry."
I threw my head back and groaned. "Nigga what the fuck!" I didn't do this shit. I didn't do illegal.
"Listen, I didn't mean for this to happen either. I am not really a part of my family's craft, ok, but I used to be, and you need to take a code of silence–omerta."
"I'm not taking a code of shit. I don't want to be stuck in the mafia."
Kyle groaned. "We're not that old, Kasia; as long as you keep omerta, you're fine to leave–you're not important in the mafia world unless someone wants to get to Silver."
"So, that man?"
"Was from the Irish mafia. They're after Italian, Russians, and Germans for destroying their mafia and their cult," Kyle sighed. "You can say that we have a personal vendetta against cults...especially Silver."
I furrowed my brows. "Why?"
"It's not my story–actually, some of it is." Kyle sighed again. This is the most serious he's ever been. "All I can say is that our dad saved our mother from a cult because he saw her and fell in love...but our mother was still very much brainwashed, and our dad didn't realize...she lied to all of us and destroyed our family even after having six fucking kids. She took our only sister, and we never saw them again. We were all so young, except for Rune and Silver, that we didn't even consider that we had a sister. If you want details that aren't so vague, you're going to have to ask Silver, which I firmly ask you not to, he will get defensive and shit he doesn't mean."
I wanted to ask more, but I just nodded. "I'm sorry, Kyle."
Kyle rolled his eyes. "Girl, I don't care about that bitch–not anymore, at least; I was like three."
That made me laugh.
"Anyway, Silver is on his way because he's still delusional."
"Are you serious–"
"Yes." Silver stormed in, angry and brooding as always, but now I wasn't angry when seeing him. I understand that he's a hurt man. "What the fuck happened?"
"I–"
"Not you, Othello," Silver dismissed, looking directly at me.
I sighed. "It's just a concussion–"
"Dove si lui?" (Where is he?)
Kyle rolled his eyes. "He's dead. I killed him." Kyle gestured to me. "She knows."
"Fuck," Silver walked toward me and observed me. "He didn't do anything else?"
I shook my head. "Where's Analia?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
Silver frowned. "She's with Aeros,"
I nodded. "Go spend some time with your daughter. I'm fine–"
"Oh my god!" Brady ran inside the room and embraced me, kissing my cheeks. Every part of my face. "They called me at work. I couldn't come right away; I was busy."
Kyle scoffed, and Silver stood in the corner with a glare on his face. "Your work couldn't wait for your girlfriend?" Kyle asked.
Brady smiled. "She's fine, isn't she?"
"Do you want to be fine?" Silver asked.
Brady finally noticed him and stumbled back a bit. "What the hell is he doing here?"
"He's my roommate's brother–Silver, please," I begged him not to do anything to Brady.
"Please?" Brady frowned.
I groaned. "Silver's just really violent, and he gets angry quickly."
Kyle laughs as Silver glare darkens on me for making him look stupid, but I had to come up with something. So, I'm just gonna have to make up for that later–not with sex, though.
"Oh," Brady gave him a superior look, and Kyle had to put his arm around Silver.
"We're gonna go, and you can spend some time with your man." Kyle dragged Silver out, but the look he gave me before leaving meant he was coming for me later.
"Some people just love to stay bitter," Brady spat.
I sighed, shaking my head. "What?"
"He's a bitter fool; that's why he's angry," Brady said ignorantly.
I frowned. "Everyone deals with trauma differently, Brady. Some people hide it, some people forget about it, and some people show it through anger. It's all different."
"Ok, just drop it," Brady said, obviously uncomfortable with my sudden outburst.
I nodded and stayed quiet as Brady informed me of his day.

I was discharged early because I was feeling okay and because I'm a doctor and I know how to get them to discharge me. I felt like if I spent another second in the hospital listening to Brady's boring day, I'd kill myself.
I like Brady, don't get me wrong. He's just uneducated and ignorant, but it's typical of a rich white boy. So, I teach him, but sometimes I don't want to deal with his bullshit, and I also don't want to go on dates with him at restaurants anymore because he insists on us both eating salads.
I don't want a fucking salad.
But, anyway, I'm glad to be home and take some space away from Brady and his job and his insisting.
When I got home, Analia was there, and she was happy to see me. In fact, she spent the whole day with me and Kyle. She forced us to go to the park, not that I have any complaints, but I am so surprised that Analia is so close and comfortable with me. "What the fuck is cheesecake ice cream?" I asked as Kyle finished our order.
Analia giggled. "That is so...disgusting."
Kyle rolled his eyes dramatically. "First of all, bitches, both of y are too basic to even be me. Y'all are too unoriginal."
Analia rolled his eyes. "Here he goes again,"
"I know, right," I groaned.
"Uh?" Kyle blinked multiple times. "Bitch 'here he go?' I'll beat your ass." Kyle started chasing Analia around the park as I took the orders from the slightly confused ice cream man.
"Kids!" I teased. "Ice cream!"
Analia runs straight towards me for her chocolate ice cream as Kyle pants and limps over. "Thank you," she took her ice cream and sat down on a bench.
"Whoo, Jesus, I hate kids." Kyle sat down and took a deep breath.
"Or you hate how they make you embarrass yourself. Need to hit the gym, uncle." Analia teased as Kyle glared at her.
"I'm not even." Kyle rolled his eyes before gracefully taking his ice cream. I was laughing the whole time. I couldn't stop; I just felt really happy for some reason. I was here with a man's daughter and one of my best friends with vanilla ice cream that I shouldn't be eating.
"You guys," I beamed. "This is so sweet," I sighed happily.
They both gave me a confused look, but I just laughed and shook my head. "Let's head home. You're dad's coming soon."
Kyle drove us back to the apartment, where we watched Coco and played Uno until Silver came. He didn't knock on the door; he just illegally broke in and strode in. "Daddy!" Analia ran and embraced him tightly.
I noticed he froze up before slowly hugging her back. "How was your day, piccola mia." (my baby)
"It was great, Dad. Kyle, Kasia, and I went for ice cream, and then we came back and watched Coco and played Uno, and Kyle and I made Kasia laugh a lot."
I chuckled and shook my head. "You need to stop teasing your poor uncle."
Kyle rolled her eyes. "You're not allowed here anymore."
"Ignore him. You're always welcome here." I smiled.
Analia stuck her tongue out at Kyle, and he stayed cuddled in his blanket, still rolling his eyes. "Get out."
"I have to speak with Kasia. Go put Analia and the car and watch her."
I furrowed my brows as Kyle groaned and stomped toward Analia, grabbing her hand as she just laughed evilly. He was in a spongebob onesie. When Kyle and Analia had left, Silver brought his attention to me.
"Is there something wrong?"
"There's a shit ton wrong right now." His heated gaze made me squirm, just like the first time we met. I wasn't as scared of him anymore, even though I now fully knew that he was a criminal, an organized, rich Italian mafia criminal.
I smiled and patted the couch next to me. He furrowed his brows and tilted his head before hesitantly sitting down next to me. "What's up?"
He frowned. "I don't like how you're speaking to me. I don't want to be your friend."
"Well, um–"
"Break up with him," his tattooed fingers found their way onto my cheek, and I did nothing to stop him. I was in too much shock. I was debating in my head.
I knew Silver was the wrong choice.
I knew Brady was the right choice.
Why wasn't I easily making the right choice? Why am I letting Silver touch me?
The room felt hot, and I suddenly regretted letting him sit next to me. What did I think? That Silver and I could really be friends? The attraction was undeniable. The hardness of his dick pressing against me and my pussy gushing was also undeniable. The apartment was getting smaller, and I realized how good Silver smelt and how beautiful he really was.
"I..." I trailed off. "Silver, I can't," I whispered.
His eyes glanced at my lips. "Yes, you can."
I didn't respond because his lips were on mine faster than I could think. I didn't push him away. Instead, I deepened the kiss, sitting on his lap as his tongue entered my mouth and danced with mine.
The kiss was so sinful, so forbidden. Yet it happened anyway, with his hands on his favorite place of my body–my boobs–and my hands in his hair, clutching each other while our mouths devoured each other.
"What the fuck is taking so–?"
I jumped away from Silver's mouth, but he didn't let me get off of his lap as Kyle gasped. "Um,"
"It's not what–"
"It's exactly what it looks like." Silver interrupted.
Kyle groaned. "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Y'all are about to raise my blood pressure."
"Um," I smiled nervously, calmly pulling away from Silver's arms. "Oops."
Kyle sighed. "You might want to get out of here. Natalia's not going to be happy to find you here."
Silver's dark aura was back. The part of him that shouldn't be talked to, the side that should just be left alone to brood and calm down. "Fuck," he didn't look back at me as he rushed out of the apartment, and Kyle shut the door.
"Girl," Kyle pursed his lips.
I shook my head. "Don't want to talk about it,"
