Yunjin's disappearance did not go unnoticed in the company. In fact, several groups were sent out to look for her, yet no one was able to find her.
We had secretly gone back to dispose of her body, but apparently, someone had gotten there before us. What scared us were the questions: who was this person, and what were they planning to do?
No one randomly takes a corpse just for fun.'Well, I hope. That would be too creepy', I thought.
We were all sitting in the office, panicking internally in silence. The soft sound of rain outside only added to the misery enveloping each and every one of us.
"We have to do somethi-!" I was about to burst from the restlessness when my phone dinged, making me stop in my tracks.
Everyone looked at me, their pleading expressions unmistakable as I gulped and reached into my pocket to take out my phone.
Every digit I typed to unlock it felt like a step closer to our breaking point.
And there it was, written in big, bold letters:
"You are looking for something that does not want to be found.
Or should I say—someone? :)"
I read the message aloud, my voice emerging as an unmistakable whisper, my hand trembling.
Jungkook, my boyfriend, immediately looked at me, his eyes filled with concern. He was by my side in an instant, enveloping me in a tight embrace. My phone slipped from my hand and clattered to the ground as I melted into his arms, the world fading for just a moment, providing a brief respite from the fear that gripped me.
But then, my phone dinged again, breaking the silence.
Nari quickly picked it up, her eyes scanning the screen. She hesitated for a moment, then read the new message aloud:
"You all are starting to get boring, my fellow players. Shall we end this little marathon, hmm?
The same warehouse. 1 a.m.
I'll be waiting, my pawns (;"
The room went cold, a shiver running down my spine as the implications of the message sank in. We were being toyed with, manipulated—and now, whoever was behind this wanted to draw us back into their game.
"Are we going?" Jimin asked, voicing the question that had been replaying in all our minds.
"Yes," both Namjoon and Yoongi answered in unison. Their voices were firm, leaving no room for doubt.
"It's time we end this," Yoongi added, his tone resolute as he stood up. "For ourselves."
The room was silent, the weight of his words settling over us like a heavy fog. We knew this wasn’t just about Yunjin anymore. It was about taking control of a situation that had spiraled far beyond our reach, and finally, putting an end to the twisted game we had been dragged into.
"So, we make a plan?" Nari asked, breaking the silence, her voice steady yet cautious.
Namjoon nodded, his expression serious. "We don’t just walk into this blindly. If they’re expecting us at 1 a.m., we need to be prepared for anything. We go in with a strategy."
Yoongi crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. "We need to be smarter than them. Whoever this is, they’ve been one step ahead of us from the beginning. But this time, we’ll be ready."
"Agreed," Jungkook said, his grip tightening around my hand. "We’ll end this on our terms."
Namjoon looked around at each of us, determination shining in his eyes. "Alright. We plan, we prepare, and we finish this."
TIME SKIP
THE WAREHOUSE. 12:57 pm.
Every footsteps felt heavy, a step closer to the end of this twisted game, this cruel trial. This felt like a trap, we all knew it was, yet still, we were walking into it. Ready. With a plan.
As we stepped inside the main area, we saw 5 chairs, a hooded figure sitting in the middle one.
With cautious steps, we progresses forward, finally approaching the seated figure.
After a overwhelming silence, it was finally broken by the figure. Standing up, they circled around us, like a lion eyeing it's prey.
After completing a whole circle with loud footsteps, thw figure came to a halt in front of me.
"Welcome Sena. Or as I like to call you, Noona?" The voice came out.
My breath hitched, hands shaking, senses on high alert. After rechecking and redoing the math of the answer we all had figured out yet still couldn't believe, realization dawned us.
Who would've thought? Who in the world would've thought that the one person who seemed to be the most innocent among us all, in reality was the one with the most twisted mind? Playing twisted games with people?
"You" my voice came out ad a whisper.
"Oh come on Noona, don't be like that. You know I just looovee to hear your voice. Wait, not love. Loved" the hooded figure said.
"Loved?" I inquired
"You killed her. YOU killed her" he said, voice bearing emotion in millions.
After sucking in a breath and mustering up all the courage I could, "She got what she deserved." I said, trying to act like I had no guilt in me.
But, the figure laughed. A wicked, twisted, psychotic laugh. The one that made you think of all the things that person could do to you. More than just the blood they would draw out of you. It made you think of the way they would make you suffer in the worst ways until you hit your last breath.
" What did you say? 'Got what she deserved'?" He quoted, laughing again. "You think she deserved that? Death by a being who is weak, stupid... No, she deserved the world. Did you forget all she did for you? The training? Your father? She did try to save him, your father. Too bad your father juat couldnt bear the truth. He couldnt believe that Yunjin was against the company. "
Continuing, he said, "He was weak, just like you"
My blood ran cold.
And finally, Namjoon spoke up,
"Why are you doing this... Taesong?"
