Part 93 - Set of skeleton keys, sniper rifle, and him

Hello! ☀️❤
I'm really proud of this chapter. And yeah, I couldn't let Evan do his job alone, could I? I hope you're gonna love this chapter as much as I loved writing it. Enjoy ^.^
——————————————————

(Delirious POV)
Quickly, with no way back, I put one hand on his mouth, my second grabbed his hands, while I dragged him backwards to the dark alleyway. He tried to defend himself, his gun dropped on the ground.

"Shhhhh," I whispered quickly, feeling his body relaxing, only to tense up again.

I waited a few more seconds, before I let him go, stepping away from him. I walked passed by him, picking up his gun.

Really? This is the most ridiculous type he could get.

I felt Evan's eyes on me, and I looked up to him. He was standing there, looking all frozen. His brown eyes wide open, full of confusion and fear.

"This is... yet another... dream?" He asked so silently, that it was really miracle I caught everything.

I recalled that night when I had visited him. The moment he cut himself, the moment I bandaged him, the moment I felt so close to him.

"You want it to be a dream?" I replied, hoping he would speak more.

I loved hearing his voice. He had a skill to caught everybody into an interest, and I was the stupid one that I got caught into the web, like a blind fly.

"No. Can I... C-can I touch you?" He asked uncertain, and I didn't answer.

He did a few steps towards me and put a few fingers on my cheek, slowly drifting down. That touch sent so many emotions through my body.

"You're real," he whispered, and stepped away from me.

"W-what are you doing here? How did you know that I'm here?" He asked, hugging himself from the cold wind which started to blow.

"I'm here to save you. You can't just barged into that house. You see up there?" I turned myself, pointing on the cameras installed on the wall around the house.

He stood next to me, looking at what I was talking about. This gave me the perfect opportunity watch his features closer. He looked a bit skinnier then I remembered him, but his eyes determined, filled with passion.

"There wasn't any... any information about this house," he mumbled frustrated.

"Information?" I asked.

"Yeah... in the papers I read from Mark. Funny thing is that it has the same FBI sign as the ones I read over your place about Ryan," he said, his lips curling into a warm smile.

"You read the papers at my house?" I asked, feeling offended.

"I-I... I didn't mean to. It... just... they were lying there. S-sorry about that."

I really adored his personality to do things. He may have been terrified of some things but the fact that he find the courage to do them was filling my heart with pride. I found out that he was also very noisy and observant with strong will to survive.

"So what's your plan here?" I asked, hiding my interest in him into my emotionless voice.

"Why are you helping me? Why did you show up here? How did you know-"

I couldn't let him ask more question. I myself didn't know answers to some of them.

"What's your plan?" I asked again.

He looked at the cameras once again, I noticed his eyes scanning the house. I crossed my arms, when he turned back to me.

"Well... disable them somehow?" He offered.

"How?" I nudged him.

"Or find another way around."

"Could work, but do you know if there is another way in?" I tested him again.

"N-no."

His voice sounded so down, so frustrated. I sighed.

"The only thing you can do is look around. You see something you could use?" I asked, waiting for the answer I wanted to hear.

He looked around again, scanning the house. I waited bit longer, trying not to say anything. I wanted him to find out by himself. But I also knew he was thinking in one line, he wanted to get in, which was really unnecessary in this case.

"Evan," I started, getting his full attention.

"You don't have to get in. There's also another way to kill him without doing anything to the cameras. Follow me," I said, going further down to the alley way, hearing his footsteps behind me.

We stopped right next to my van. I opened the back of it, seeing the bag. I opened it and pulled out my favorite sniper rifle with silencer, upgraded scope attached to it, my favorite baby. I handed it to him.

"This is your weapon. You know what it is, right?"

He was looking terrified, uncertain at it. Taking a deep breath, he looked at me.

"Sniper rifle?"

"Correct. This baby right here has been used many times, not missing a single target. We have to find better spot."

I felt like a father, teaching his son how to do fishing, or hunting. I took back my gun from his hands, put it into the bag, where were other necessary things, then gave the bag to Evan. I closed the van and walked around the block with silent Evan behind me. I stopped in front of the door if the building, which roof was perfectly placed.

"Your time to shine. Lock picking," I announced silently.

"Easy," he replied confidently, his eyes betraying him.

I opened the bag, which Evan put down, and handed him the pickset along with set of skeleton keys. He inspected it for a few seconds, then looked at me, waiting as a smart student hungry for more knowledge.

"The first thing you have to do is find out what type of lock you're dealing with. Most of them are on the same base, and we're not getting into the most guarded place. In that case you would have to use this. This is just a normal building, which means..." I ended my speech, giving him some space to consumed all of that and to answer me.

"Which means... I'm gonna use this?" He tried.

"Set of skeleton keys, yes."

His eyes got some kind of spark which immediately made my heart go faster. I watched, as he hunkered down, trying one key after another. I heard a clicking noise and I smiled.

"Good job," I said, when he opened the door.

"This was fun. Are we going to do that more often?"

I really wish, Evan. I really, really wish.

I ignored him, not showing any emotions. I couldn't easily let him know that I wished to spent more time with him. Firstly I still somehow believed that what I felt towards this man was truly just my hormones, which decided to let loose, secondly this went against my personality. I had never let anybody this close to me, expect Tyler. Thirdly I had a feeling even if I let Evan closer to me, which I wasn't so sure about it, we wouldn't last long. I wasn't the perfect company, nor would was I perfect partner.

We walked through the building upstairs. As I found out earlier, this has the best spot to use my sniper rifle. Evan appeared a few more seconds behind me.

"Now you can choose how to approach. Either hold it in your hands, standing, kneel down, or lay down. Maybe I should have brought the support legs for you, sorry about that," I said, looking for the best spot.

"I... I don't know. What's best?" He asked, his voice sounded so innocent.

"This is your target, Evan."

"I know... what would you do? If this was your target?" He tried me, and I smiled a bit.

"I would lay down and waited. In the bag is some duvet so you don't have to be on the cold hard ground."

He nodded and put down the bag right next to him. He started look for the thing I had mentioned.

"Is there anything you don't have?" He mumbled, pulling out the duvet.

"Find the spot best for you," I continue.

"Right here?" He pointed to the ground, and I shrugged.

"You have to try it. You need to have clear view on the house and on the target, no trees or branches in your way. You have to consider the wind around you. Count with the possible delay, which shouldn't happen with my baby, but you have to count with everything."

He put the duvet down, looking around. Then he nervously looked at me.

"You know... I had a dream about you," he whispered.

"Really? About what?" I asked, watching his fingers nervously tapping on my rifle, his eyes glued to the duvet on the ground.

"Well... you came into the room I was in."

"Go on," I nudged him.

"And you calmed me down... y-you told me not to be afraid of anything... and then, then you walked towards me."

With his last words he looked up to me and put down my sniper rifle, doing a few steps towards me. I carefully watched him, trying to predict his intentions. With each steps he did, with each second he was closer to me, I felt my own beating heart.

"Just... just like this. And y-you put your hands right h-here," he stuttered, taking my head into his hands.

"A-and right after that you leaned and kissed me," he whispered, carefully looking into my eyes for something.

Maybe he was waiting for my approval, maybe he wanted from me to do the first step. And I found myself doing exactly that. He was so close. I smelled his scent, his body was almost touching mine, his lips were almost touching mine. I was like hypnotized by him. Our lips brushed, I felt the vibration through my body, I felt my mind went dizzy, my heart going crazy.

"Is it done?"

Both of us jumped away from each other, and I tried thinking straight again. Evan quickly pulled out the walkie-talkie.

"How's this thing working, God dammit," he cursed loudly, turning it in his hands.

I did a few steps towards him, pointing on one button on the side of that thing.

"Just push it and talk," I informed him, trying to get my mind focus on the mission again, calm my heart and my thoughts.

"Not yet, I'm working on it," he said into the thing.

"Just checking your progress," Mark answered.

"I'm not a fucking amateur, Mark! And shut up, you almost ruin everything with your stupid loud voice."

"Is there any way how to turn off this thing?" Evan asked me.

"Right here," I said, pointing at another button.

"Thanks," he mumbled and put the walkie-talkie back to his jeans.

"Alright... so get down," I commanded, leaning against the wall and looking anywhere else then him.

"B-but this is hard to concentrate," he complained.

"Why?" I asked, looking at him as he lay down on the duvet with my rifle next to him.

"You're right there."

"I can walk away if you prefer loneliness," I said, successfully with no emotion at all.

"C-could you... show me how I should held this gun? P-please."

I sighed, walking towards him. I kneel down next to him, setting the gun into the best position, but after a while I gave up. This wasn't the way I should approach things. So I got up, walking a few steps to the other side of him and lay next to him. I scooted so close, taking his hands into mine. I placed his left hand under the gun, as a support, his right hand on the trigger part. It looked like I was spooning him, but I really didn't matter at all. His scent attacked my senses and I stopped thinking straight again. The only thing that mattered for me was him, and he was there. Right there.

"Look through the scope. Is there a night vision or a thermo vision on?" I whispered so close to his ear.

His body shivered and I felt his fingers gripping the gun tighter. I looked at the house. There were a few windows with the lights on, but no sign of Greg himself.

"Huh? Y-yeah... night vision?" He replied, his voice shaking.

"Sweet. All you need to do is constantly checking the windows or the door to the backyard," I said, my eyes moved from the house to our hands.

"I... I can't... I've never held a gun. I can't kill him. Why don't you kill him for me?" he whispered, his head bowing down in shame.

"Hold the gun steadily. This is act of patience, you don't need to do anything else, just wait. You can do this, Evan. I know you can."

I didn't know why I tried so hard to teach him anything, to give him the courage he needed. If I wanted, I could have killed Greg myself without him doing anything. Just like I did his first and second task. But the fact that he was here made me think otherwise.

I have to give him the confidence. Somebody he cares about, somebody he's willing to die for.

"Do this for Craig," I whispered.

His head shot up, he took a deep breath and lightly nodded. He started to focus again, and I knew he cared about Craig more then about himself.

"You have to treat the gun like your lover. Carefully and slowly at the beginning," I started whispering again, kissing his so perfectly placed neck. His body tensed again, and I smirked. The lowest moan escaped his lips, and I loved the sound of it.

"S-stop," he whispered, trying to get away from me.

"You have to trust it, give it all your body," I continue in whisper, my right hand left it's precious place and drifted upon his body.

"You have to find the sweet spot."

My hand ended on his crouch area. Once I started palming him, his body responded like I wanted him to. His body shivered, the sweetest moan escaped. In a few seconds his ass started to grind against my sensitive area.

"Delirious."

I was already hypnotized and the way he moaned my name made my world spin. I returned back to kissing his neck, loving the taste of his skin. So soft, so sweet.

"No!" He yelled and right then I heard the window breaking.

I quickly stood up and looked at the building. My blurred mind immediately started to think.

"I'm... fuck... fuck! Sorry... I-I didn't mean to. My finger... s-slipped, fuck!" I heard Evan's humiliated and disappointed voice.

Nearest cops are let's say fifteen minutes away. Still have plenty of time here. This is not a disaster. We have to avoid his neighbors, nothing serious.

"Tell Mark you have the job done," I said, quickly walking towards the bag.

"W-what?"

I pulled my mask out, putting it on. I felt so much better. The mask was part of me, hiding my appearance as well as my personality. I looked at Evan who was standing up from the ground.

"Don't worry about anything, ok? I'm sorry, you have to wait a little bit longer for the rescue, but I'm working on it. Now tell Mark that Greg is down."

I walked towards the bag, putting all the things in.

I have like thirteen minutes. I'll have to do a quick stop at my van. I can't walk to the Greg's house with my things. That would be 8 minutes left.

I fast walked away, downstairs to my van. I put the bag in there, then started to walk to the house of my victim, when I felt grip around my wrist. I looked behind to see Evan. He didn't give me any chance to react, when he stepped closer, pulling up my mask and pressed his lips against mine.

The whole world stopped existed in that exact moment, I had a feeling I stopped existing for that exact moment. He quickly pulled away.

"I'll be waiting for you," he whispered.

And I'll come.
