Part 112 - Another ached heart

I know, I know, this isn't getting anywhere with the story, but bear with me a little longer :D . Enjoy ^.^
————————————————

(Craig POV)
I opened the main door, smelling something delicious. I smiled to myself and walked in.

"I'm home," I shouted, feeling warmness in my heart saying that.

Home.

"Don't! Stop... close your eyes," Tyler shouted back, and I laughed, taking off my jacket.

"Do you have your eyes closed?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes in amusement.

"Yeah, yeah," I mumbled, taking off my shoes.

Within few seconds he walked into the hall, wearing a suit. I blinked several times, when he frowned.

"Craig! Close your eyes," he sounded offended and disappointed.

What's going on? Why does he have a suit? Are we going somewhere?

"Sorry," I whispered, closing my eyes.

I heard footsteps coming towards me, and I felt how he took my hand. I blindly followed him somewhere, and then we stopped.

"Alright, open them," he said, and I did what he asked me for.

I excitedly looked around. The dinning room was all light up by the candles, the window's curtains refused to let the morning sun in. On the table there were two plates with a delicious looking meal, bottle of wine. I looked confusedly at Tyler.

"A-are we celebrating something?" I asked, and he let go of my hand.

"Well... we missed our month anniversary, then we broke up, got back together. I just felt like making you happy with this. Are you happy?" He asked, and I quickly nodded, feeling all sentimental.

"Yes! Yes, this is amazing!" I smiled at him.

"Alright... so sit down, I'll take care of this early dinner."

"It's 7 am. You call it an early dinner?" I laughed, sitting down.

"Shush!"

Tyler sat against me, pouring me a wine. I took a sip, smiling at him. This all made me so happy.

"How's Evan doing?" He asked carefully.

He wants to kill Mark and Jack. He didn't looked terrified, or trembling. He was focused, rather emotionless.

"He's doing better than I thought," I replied, gathering all my courage.

I have to ask. Evan needs my help. But how?

"Tyler," I started, feeling my nervous heart beating so fast.

He looked at me with worries written in his eyes, but he patiently waited for my other words.

"I'm sorry to remind you such a horrific events, I'm not doing this on purpose. But can I ask you a simple question?" I asked, and he was silent.

"Please," I whispered, gripping the fork in my hands tighter.

"Go on."

"Evan told me that there was a man in the room, who made him choose between you and Delirious. That man was called Luke, and I was wondering if you know him by any chance."

He was silent, then took a bite out of his food. I patiently waited, already knew I fucked up this atmosphere.

"I have no idea who that man was," he replied.

"You remember our oath? No secrets between us, right?" I decided to push more.

He looked at me with a slight anger written in his eyes. I knew I was pushing my boundaries, but I had to try it. For Evan.

"Why do you care so much? Why does it matter? Can't we just go back to eating?" He snapped at me.

He knows him!

"Tyler... who's that?" I crossed my arms, feeling a little bit offended.

"I told you! I have no fucking idea!"

"Look directly into my eyes and tell me that you're not lying to me," I said steadily.

He was looking down, and I watched his face expressions changing. I knew he was fighting against himself.

"I'll show you," he said, standing up.

I silently followed him to the living room, where he turned on the PC. I sat next to him, slowly consuming where this was heading.

"You ran him through the deep web? Are you trying to kill him?" I asked curious.

Maybe he's going to revenge Delirious after all. Maybe he and Evan can merge their skills, and I won't feel bad for lying to Tyler.

He went through some websites, after a while ended on one. He looked at me, writing a name 'Luke' into that.

"You can continue," he said, and I frowned.

"What?"

"You know this Luke, Craig."

"What?" I repeated, confused more then ever.

"You remember when I returned back here, and I was so pissed. I said I was going to kill him. Then you returned home, after you had locked me in, and you thought I wanted to kill Evan. You remember that?"

I slowly nodded, my brain showing me the past. I saw the pictures of that event right in front of my eyes.

"I wasn't talking about Evan that time. I wanted to kill Luke."

"M-my Luke?" I asked carefully.

"Yes."

Oh, what? No! No, I refuse! I can't be this unlucky! What am I? Magnet on problems? Magnet on bad guys? What would have happened if I didn't break up with him? Would he kill me? Would he make me choose too? Between Tyler and Evan?

"I'm sorry, Craig. I wanted to tell you, I really, really did, but you-" I cut him off.

"You fucking knew that I was dating a bad guy, the murderer of you best friend, and you didn't have any decency to tell me?! What if he hurt me? What if he killed me?" I raised my voice at him, feeling tears in my eyes.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

"Sorry? You're sorry? How long do you know it?"

"How long?" I shouted at him, after he didn't say anything.

"I recognized him at the moment they dragged me into a room where Evan and he were."

I can't believe it! He knew it for a several days.

"You didn't care about me to tell me something like this?"

"You're the fucking one who was pushing me away! You're the fucking one who chose Luke over me in the first place."

Tyler stood up, walking out of the living room. I looked at his disappearing back.

"I'm not done with you," I shouted at him angrily.

"But I'm!" He yelled back, slamming the door behind him.

He knew it. He knew I was dating a killer, and he didn't have any courage to tell me? Why?

I sighed, staring at the monitor where the name 'Luke' was written.

I'm done with being a weak one, the one who's always used by others. You hurt Tyler when you killed Delirious, now Evan is going to hurt you. Payback's a bitch.

I quickly typed his full name into a website. After what seemed like a eternity, I managed to gather some information. Where he was living, his bank account, his hobbies, what he was eating the other day. I wrote everything down on the paper, folding it.

I stood up, turning off the PC. Pulling out my phone, I grabbed the papers and quickly texted Evan.

C: It's done. Pick up the papers later today, I need some sleep.

I assume Tyler is sleeping. Will he be mad at me? Should I sleep on the sofa? I hate arguing with him.

I sighed, and put the papers into my jacket. Then I walked right into his room. As I predicted, he was already lying in the bed. I changed my clothes and lay next to him.

"I'm sorry, Craig," he whispered, his back still facing me.

"I know I should have told you, but I couldn't. Luke's somebody Delirious knew, and I thought you didn't love me anymore," he continued.

"I'm not angry at you. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you. It's just... why am I this unlucky?" I said, staring at the ceiling.

"What do you mean unlucky?" He asked, rolling himself so he was facing me.

"Firstly you used me, now I find out Luke is the bad one too," I mumbled.

"There won't be any third one, Craig. I won't let that happen," Tyler replied steadily.

I moved to him, placing my head on his chest and snuggled closer, while he hugged me.

"I don't want any third one. I want only you," I whispered into his chest, tiredly closing my eyes.

"I'm here, I love you."

I wonder if he's still hurt. His best friend died, and his killer dated somebody he loved. He had to suffer much more then I did.
