(Vanoss POV)
I aimed my gun at the dummy target, slowly breathing. I tried to steady my breath, mainly calm my shaking hands. It was right in that moment when I heard a car arriving. I looked behind me and saw Tyler's car.
I put down the gun, and watched his car stop. I expected only Tyler to come out but I saw another person with him.
What's he doing here???
Tyler walked towards me, and nodded in greeting, then I fully moved my attention to Craig. He walked slowly my way, looking around.
"Tyler told me everything. Are you sure you want to do this?" Craig asked, and I looked little bit angry at Tyler.
He shrugged, then put the bags on the table. I sighed, looking back at Craig.
I have to do my own revenge. Those three men have to die. One by one, or just on one shot.
"I'm sure. I know you are going to try to convince me that-" I was cut off by him.
"No, Evan. I'm here to support you. I'll help Tyler find suitable victim for you, and some equipment."
"What? Why? You've never done this before, I can't let you fall down into this dark side."
I suddenly felt so protective over my best friend. I was happy that he was so close to Tyler, but on the other hand I would go mad if he got hurt.
"I'm already part of this side. And I'm not leaving Tyler, nor you, in this alone. I won't go out and kill, I'll just gather you the necessary things."
"Craig," I tried to reason with him one last time.
"I'm certain, there's no chance of changing my mind," he spoke steadily, and I sighed defeated.
I turned myself back to Tyler, and he was handing me sniper rifle. I knew it very well. It belonged to Delirious. I took it into my hands and it immediately showed me the pictures of us on the roof. I grabbed it tighter, shaking my head to get rid of that picture, and to push back my tears.
"Alright, it's time for the sniper rifle."
You have to treat the gun like your lover. Carefully and slowly at the beginning. How did you get caught, Delirious? It's all my fault. I wanted you to rescue me, I killed you.
"Evan, are you even listening?"
Tyler's voice dragged me back into reality, and it took me a several seconds to recognize where I was and what was going on. I sighed, and looked at him.
"Sorry, continue."
"Ok, try it then," he pointed to the dummy.
Either hold it in your hands, standing, kneel down, or lay down.
"There might be a night vision or thermo vision on. If yes, move this up to turn it off," Tyler said, and I nodded.
I lay down, fixing my position, so it would be much more comfortable. I looked through the scope, looking for the dummy's head. I tried to calm my breath, take it all slowly and patiently.
I pulled the trigger, receiving a small kick back to my body. I put the gun aside and watched Tyler walk towards my potential target.
"A little bit to the right and it would be right in the middle," he informed me, and I nodded.
I'm gonna be better. I have to!
After few hours of my practicing, Tyler felt satisfied with me. We arrived back to his place. I wasn't really tired, so I offered them to cook some meal. Meanwhile Tyler was helping Craig find me the best target. I felt little bit weird. I would never guessed that my best friend, who hadn't knew anything about stealing or doing any small crime, was now helping me get a target for kill. But I didn't regret my decision. Even though it hurt so bad, and I missed Delirious with whole my heart, I wouldn't have sensed Tyler to death. They were both happy, and Craig's happiness was the most important thing in my life.
"Alright, we're done," Craig said to me, while I was sitting in the living room and eating.
In a few seconds they both joined me. Tyler handed me some file, looking all serious and professional.
"Annie Smith, informations about her are written there. Usually I would spent a week or two taking photos and gathering other informations, but it's not necessary. Annie isn't protected by camera systems, or bodyguards. Read it. If there's anything you don't understand, just say, ok?" Tyler said, and sat against me next to Craig.
I opened the file, seeing a few papers. I read it carefully, trying to memorize the most important things.
She should be home, poor district.
"It's up to you, how you're going to approach. Bare in your mind only one thing. You make a mistake, you're going to pay for it."
Delirious made mistake too. He let me live.
"I'm ready," I whispered, standing up.
"Give me a call, ok? I'll guide you through your first target."
"Thanks Tyler."
They both escorted me to my car, and helped me get some guns in the back. I said goodbyes, then drove to my destination. I was feeling nervous, mainly because I wanted Delirious to be proud of me. I wished he would be my side, guiding me. I didn't want to screw up.
I arrived into the poor district, carefully looking for my victim's house. After I found it, I got off the car. It was already a night, so most people were asleep. I grabbed a gun and walked towards her house. The house has only one floor, its size like my two rooms. It wasn't even locked, and I pushed lightly into the door. The horrible stench hit my nostrils, and I wanted to puke. I place my hand to my mouth, trying to push away that reflex.
Looking around, I felt disgusted. There were like ten dirty mattresses on the ground, cans and bottles of food, syringes and booze everywhere. I hadn't have to look for Annie too long. She was in the corner, her body rocking back and forth. Right next to her was freshly used syringe, and I knew she was already far away with her mind.
I pulled out my gun, aiming it at her. I remembered I should have called Tyler first, but I didn't need him. Delirious was doing things on his own too.
I pulled the trigger. Loud noise filled the room, her body fell on the floor. I just watched as the blood on the ground grew bigger. I expected some emotions, like fear, nervousness, or anything like that, but I felt empty. Like there wasn't anything that would make me happy. She was just dead, it was like a normal thing to think about. I pulled out my phone, texting Tyler on my way home.
E: Done.
So killing her wasn't any hard. I know Mark and Jack are going to be tough ones, maybe I could tell Tyler to look for some info about them and about Luke as well. I need more practice, I'll kill them without any mistakes. They're going to pay for everything.
