As you know, cats have a notorious relationship with water. They hate it. "Why is that?" You ask. Well for that story we would need to go way back in time, all the back to where these epic creatures were just starting their lives in the world. The Lion was proud and boastfully of his work. He claimed to beat the Water at in his own turf and the Water was outraged. 

"Insolent brat," Water mumbled, thinking up ways he could beat down the Lion's pride. He spent   days scheming up countless ideas until he came to one that made him very happy. He would challenge him to a swimming contest. The Water has a solid form, one that he did not like much but would be useful in this contest, Ice. 

"Hey Lion," Water said walking up to the Lion in his cold form, "Wanna have a swimming race?" 

Lion looked up surprised but put a smirk on his face and replied, "I'm going to win and you for sure already know that so what's to lose." 

Water gritted his teeth but forced a smile, "Meet me at Tiger's WaterHole, eh?" 

The Lion nodded and Water left.

It was race time and Lion was happily being bombarded with animals that he assured that he would win. Water sat by the side of his Ice form receiving pitying glances from others. 

"Done with paparazzi?" 

"Yeah." 

Lion excused himself from his fans and they lined up and jumped in. Immediately, Water melted his ice form into the water and solidified at the finish line. He leaned against a tree with a smirk as he waited for Lion to come. 

Lion eventually came with his fur drenched in water and Water touched him, freezing the water up. 

"I thought you could beat Water in it's own turf," Water said as Lion paled. 

"Y-You're Water?!" Lion sputtered, "B-But you're Ice!" 

Water snorted, "Water and Ice are the same." He regained a serious composure, "But for your boasting and inability to back up your claims, you are punished. From now onward water will no longer be with you nor your descendants." 

It was then and forever Lion and his descendants have disliked water and water dislikes them.
