I tugged on my suit, straightening it for the umpteenth time. Here I was about to meet the Amelia Bloomer. You know the early activist of womens' rights. She inspires me to speak up and to never underestimate anyone no matter what. 

I push the door to the restaurant I was to meet her in. I only had thirty minutes with her and I was going to make the best of it. 

"Do you have a reservation?" The waiter asked as I entered. 

"Yes, it's under If You Could Meet A Star Winners." I respond, the waiter looks over his list until he spots me. 

"Ah. . .there you are, right this way Mr Hades." He led me to a table cluttered with papers, ideas, and comments on articles about how to improve the articles. A women in bloomer pants held a red pen and looked over some paper, every line or so she'd mark something down. Her eyebrows were furrowed together in concentration, she was so engaged in her editing she didn't notice as we came close to her seat. 

"Ms Amelia Bloomer?" She looked up towards us as surprise graced her features. 

"Dear me, I didn't notice you gentlefolks coming toward us," She cleared a space for me to sit down, "Don't mind me, just editing some papers for The Lily ." 

"If it isn't too much to ask, can I see the articles?" She looked over surprised. 

"Of course you could, I could always use a second opinion." She showed me the paper she was working on. I read the article, it was about the Women's Movement . With that in mind I knew that this had to be just after the 1848 Senecca Falls Women's Rights Convention. 

"This is amazing! What made you start writing?" 

"My husband, David, I was always an outspoken women then David advised I start writing and from there I started The Lily. I'm trying to tell the tale of the Women's Rights movement. Of course I'll have Ms Stanton look over them later." 

"Wow, you making such a difference. I aim to be like that you know." 

"I'm delighted to be your role model." 

"Do you have any advise for me?" 

"Stay tru to yourself, stand for what you believe, and remember your roots. If you do all those, you'll never go wrong." 

"I will Ms Amelia, I will." 

"I know you will."
